  1. I don't recommend using a landing page, as a very small percentage of your visitors will see it. They are far more likely to land directly on another page within your site, for example from search engine results or a link on another site. A better alternative is to clearly offer add language choices in the header so they appear on every page. There are a number of ways to do this but we'd need to see your site to offer more specific advice 🙂 Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
  2. No. You cannot add a Newsletter Block to the lock screen because it is more than a decorative veil; it prevents access to website content and functionality. The only way to hide website content and show a placeholder page with a Newsletter Block is to remove the sitewide password from the site create a placeholder page with Newsletter Block and set it as the homepage password protect all other pages individually Did this help? 3. Squarespace doesn't have a great way to manage "physical+digital" sales yet, which is a real shame as more and more users are creating content to sell in this way. The safest way to distribute a digital download is by setting up a digital product but these must be purchased through the checkout at a different time to the physical product - which is not a great experience when you are offering a physical+digital sale. As you said, you could email customers with a link to the file, but there isn't an easy way to store that file on Squarespace safely. At least not yet. Uploaded files aren't afforded any security protection and are subject to a limit of 20MB. One workaround is to upload the file to a service like Google Drive and then link to this in your email. 4. If you are building a new website using the latest version of Squarespace (version 7.1) there are a number of ways to build a carousel, including the use of Gallery Sections. However, Gallery Blocks are no longer in General Availability (GA). The confusion in this thread is because a small number of users do still have limited access to them. I don't know of any plans to launch Gallery Blocks again but, if this is important to you, I recommend that you contact Squarespace Customer Care directly. If they're unable to help, there is a third party plugin available from Squarewebsites called Squarespace Admin UI Tweaks (affiliate link) that should allow you to add Gallery Blocks to sections. 5. @Ilyssa Please provide a link to the page so that we can take a look at the settings. If the site isn’t live, please see How to Post a Forum Question for guidance on how to provide a link to your site.
  6. Safari on iOS is designed to detect phone numbers on webpages and make them into links that call the number - even when you haven't added code to do this. It tries to be extra helpful 🙂. This link comes with Safari's own styling. You should be able to override this by doing one of two things: Use CSS to force the inherited styling Add a meta tag to stop Safari detecting the numbers You didn't provide a link to the site so I wasn't able to provide you with specific code tested on this site. 7. Subdomains don't work like that 🙂. Can you explain what you are trying to achieve overall so that we can look at ways to help you? Why are you trying to add DNS records? Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
  8. Sadly, it's an issue on 7.1 sites too 🙃
  9. Unfortunately, the "Failed to Like Comment/invalid session crumb" error is a known issue. Squarespace engineers have been aware of this bug since May 2022 (8 months) but they haven't prioritised a fix yet. To escalate this issue, please contact Squarespace Customer Care using a support ticket. Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
  10. Which browser are these customers using? Ask them to test it with a mainstream browser like Chrome or Safari because browsers inside social media apps aren’t very reliable. If it still doesn’t work, please contact Squarespace Customer Care directly. Let us know how you get on. Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
  11. You can export your Squarespace Commerce products to a .csv file to make bulk changes to your inventory and then upload it again. For more details, see Exporting products to a .csv. For more assistance you can contact Squarespace Customer Care directly. They offer live chat Monday-Friday between 4AM and 8PM ET and from 10AM to 6PM AEST. At other times you can complete their support form and they'll email you back. I hope this helped. Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
  12. The shipping option should already be the default - see the screenshot below. I wasn't able to check this on your site as you didn't share a link. Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
  13. Correct. Although "on-page" content - the text on a Squarespace page - is protected when it is behind a site password or a Member Area login, the same is not true for files that you upload to your site, like PDFs. These are stored on a global Content Delivery Network (CDN) and not behind the password or login.
  14. Those were screenshots and instructions for 7.1 🙂.
  15. Squarespace does not integrate with any third-party POS systems.
  16. Please provide more specific details , including the domain name, or contact contact Squarespace Customer Care directly for assistance.
  17. You cannot us Square (squareup.com) for payments through the Squarespace checkout on a Squarespace website. You must use Stripe and/or PayPal. See Connecting a payment processor to Commerce. You can only use Square for payments on Squarespace Scheduling and in-person transactions with Squarespace POS in the US. Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️

  20. You can set set a Minimum order amount for the checkout subtotal (in Settings > Selling > Checkout). When customers reach the checkout page, they will only be able to continue if the order subtotal meets the minimum value that you have set. The minimum order amount applies to all orders so it isn't possible to set different order minimums for orders that are to be shipped or orders that will be picked up. Did this help? 21. There are ways to inject common content into other pages using code, but forum users will need more information about the site, the content you want to add and the pages where you want to add it.
  22. I can recommend the Advanced Map Block plugin. It's really easy to add points to the map by creating blog posts - just add the address to the location section of each post. Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
  23. Sorry, I misread your question. The URL query can only be used with sitewide passwords, not page-specific passwords like this one, as they must be entered manually.
  24. @GBD @Nacole You should be able to create a full-bleed slideshow as follows: Add a Gallery Section to the top of the page. Set the Gallery Type to Slideshow: Full. Set the Width to Full Bleed. Toggle Autoplay on. Set the required Slide Duration. If you'd like it to close-up behind the header (like the example above) then you'll probably need a line of CSS to achieve this. I have provided an example below. [data-section-id="abcdef1234567890abcdef12"] { padding-top: 0!important; } You'll need to swap the Section ID placeholder that I quoted for the Section ID of that Gallery Section you added. If you need help finding the ID, please provide a working link to the page after you've added the section. Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️
  25. Are you sure you started building on Squarespace 7.0 and not 7.1? I ask because Squarespace 7.1 was introduced nearly four years ago in July 2019. You can click 'help' when you're logged on to check which version and template you are using. If you are using Squarespace 7.0, I can reassure you that nothing has not changed. All the original features are still available on version 7.0, so if you want to build a site like the example that you linked, you can do this on the version 7.0 Wells template. Did this help?
