  1. Greetings - I'm looking for a way to make the "quantity" text box on the Cart Summary and Check out pages "read-only". I added this code to the "Cart Summary" page, which seems to work... .CartTableRow-itemQuantity-LwuRx { pointer-events: none !important; } ...but I cannot make it work for the final "Check out" page. (attached and marked areas I'd like to be "read only") Thanks in advance! Isaac
  2. I have added our state and local tax percentages in the 'Tax' section of Commerce on the back end of the site. I also checked to make sure that the 'tax is included in price' is NOT checked, however when I go to the front end of our website and simulate a purchase tax line reads zero. Am I missing a step?
  3. I need chargeback protection from stripe but they require their new checkout to be implemented to the site. Upon contact they directed me to this: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout I wanted to ask, is the new checkout already implemented in squarespace or do I have to implement it manually? (I am a trial user of squarespace so not sure if stores have the new checkout or not) Thanks
  4. Hi, I am working on a Squarespace store for a winery and need add some features to the checkout page. The customer's order cannot be processed unless it is a multiple of 12. I've been checking out forums for documentation of similar things but I haven't found much involving Squarespace pages. This website has a version of what I need (https://sage-hills-wine.myshopify.com/cart), however, I looked at their code and noticed that the "Order Limits" feature is integrated with Shopify, which I am not using. Does anyone have experience with this involving merely some custom code inserted via Code Injection, or should I be looking into alternative e-commerce software for this level of customization? Thank you
  5. Hello, this is my site https://www.wundertree.co/. I have three different flat shipping rates. I operate in Berlin, Germany. Is it possible to automate the shipping charge based off of the address the customer enters in checkout? Thank you 🙂
  6. Hello I use the Small Chat plugin on my site but am wondering whether it's possible install chat feature in the checkout as well (currently chat appears on every page but the checkout) to help convert customers who may have questions. Any feedback is much appreciated :) Thank you, Andrew This is my site https://www.wundertree.co/
  7. Hi there, I use the FIVE template and it seems that I can't adjust the banner image (remove it or add one) to the shopping cart page or the order confirmation page. Please see screenshots and review links below. Does anyone have any input or code to help with this issue? It seems bizarre that Squarespace wouldn't allow you to not edit banner, etc. Thank you very much! www.mstudiosav.com/printshop
  8. I want to empty out the cart when I press a button. I tried setting the "CART" cookie value to null but that didn't do anything. Any Ideas? Help would be appreciated im using the Brine Template.
  9. I am hoping to get some help. Until yesterday I had just a basic site and used a zoho form for orders but wanted to incorporate my orders through Squarespace. have created my Products page which is currently in unlinked but my main issue is, once customers place their items in the cart (or even before, I don't care), I need for them to upload images. I have create a new form in Wufoo and have the code (and created a page w/the same name as my Products page currently under my Home that has this form) and basically want this to appear when they place the order or click a button or try to checkout. I am finding I can't add a block below my products but above the footer which would have been ideal so don't know how to do this to get it to work. Any advice would be so very welcomed. Thanks.
  10. So I am currently doing a website for a client who wanted to use squarespace. The site is a meal prep store which sells daily meals for customers. Basically the functionality I need to achieve is this: The user clicks on food menu > they are taken to a page with 3 options for 1 meal a day, 2 meals a day or 3 meals a day > they are then taken to a page which says what would like for day 1? then shows them a few dozen meals. They select 1, 2 or 3 meals (depending on which option they picked in the previous step) and then click next and are given the same for the next 4 days one after another until finally the checkout button and the end of the funnel. I realise this might be difficult to achieve. So far I am using a normal page for the first step with them selecting 1, 2 or 3 meals a day. Its the next step that is confusing me. Do I link them to a product view page and create the meals as attributes somehow or do I link them to listing pages with the meals as products. If anyone has any ideas I could use some help on this one
  11. Hi, There is a special discount code that gives free shipping, but it is only for people working in a specific building. Those customers should fill in their address as usual, but also add a mailbox number for their office mailbox so that I can deliver them personally. Is there any chance to add a field that only appears after a specific discount code has been entered? I don't want everybody to see that text field. Thanks!
  12. I'm using Stripe to process payments through my SQS site and for some reason, Stripe isn't receiving email addresses in the charge data. My research to this point suggests that email is a standard data point with charges. Is there a setting in SQS that I'm missing or have wrongly configured that would be blocking the transmission of the email address after checkout? This is a big problem because I'm using Zapier to connect Stripe to my marketing automation system that fulfills orders via email. Thanks in advance for the help!
  13. When customers click on an image in the products gallery, they are taken to a purchase page where they can choose one of two print sizes. The problem is that the preview on that page is a cropped square, and my photographs are either horizontal or vertical. This square preview gives a false impression of what the customer is purchasing and, since migrating to SS, has greatly diminished my print sales. Can I add code to change the image from filling to preview block to just fitting the image file within the block? I don't want to change hosts again, but I might have to.
  14. Hey there :) Anyone has some knowledge about Wix vs. Squarespace when it comes to translating the checkout page? Does Wix support a multilingual checkout beyond the 6 biggest languages? I would like my checkout page to be in Norwegian. Greetings :)
  15. Hi everyone! I would like to change the "CHECK OUT" button (indigo template), and have it translated to Norwegian. But the mentioned button is locked by default to English. Anyone here knows how to custom code that button, so that I can have it written in Norwegian? Greetings from Norway :)
  16. Hello out there! How can I translate the "shipping options" button on the checkout page? I would like to have it written in Norwegian. Hope someone can help. Greetings from Norway :)
  17. Hi everyone, My site title (the one you enter into the 'site title' blank above the 'site tagline' blank in the Design tab) appears in my web browser tab on my cart page as well as on my homepage, which has prompted SEO tools to flag both pages as having the same title. I have it on good authority that google doesn't like duplicate titles, so is there any way to change the cart page title to something like 'Shopping Cart'? I've looked everywhere and even contacted customer service, and there's nothing to address this issue. No other page on my site shares the same title as my homepage, and every page except for the cart page seems to be fully SEO customizable. I've attached 2 images for reference - I can't include the link to the site yet, as it's in the dev stage and I don't have permission to go live yet. Thanks in advance!
  18. My store checkout page shows Apple Pay as a huge default button, with the tiny copy below reading 'Or checkout with credit card or PayPal. As most of my customers are using credit card I would like to flip the hierarchy here, or at least make it equal. Ideally I would replace the apple logo with a security padlock icon and have that go through to all payment input boxes
  19. I'm using custom CSS to hide my header and footer in order to use Squarespace for landing pages. The biggest part of a landing page is to make it as seamless as possible to get someone to buy whatever you're selling on that page. Everything went to plan except when there's no way to access the cart without the header. Does anyone know how to enable 'express checkout' only on a single product?
  20. Hi all, I'd like to improve the UX of the checkout process. By adding a button that appears when product is in the cart / after clicking add to cart on the item page that says 'go to checkout'. So that users do not have to scroll up to the cart icon to checkout. Is this possible? Website is built in the brine template. Currently it is password protected so cannot share the URL, but it the checkout page hasn't been edited in terms of CSS (yet!). Thanks all
  21. Is there any code I can add to the express checkout page so that a 'continue shopping' button/link appears? We have 'express checkout' turned on because we find customers don't always find it obvious to look for their cart after they've added a product to it. We just need a way for people that want to purchase multiple products to be able to go back to the store and do so.
  22. We have had complaints that the 'add to cart' method is not the most intuitive way of completing the checkout as customers aren't always aware that they then have to go and search for the cart button after they've added the product. Is there a way to move/copy the cart icon to be within the product description - or even just closer to the 'add to cart' button - so it's a little more obvious to customers?
  23. I am using the Ishimoto template: Although the product page displays an “ADD TO CART” button, I need to add an additional button directly below this one that says “CHECKOUT”, and I need it to be identical (if possible) to the add to cart button. I do realize that once a customer adds an item to the cart, the Squarespace template will then automatically display a “cart” button floating at the top of the page. However, I still need to add my own checkout button so that I can send customers to a page with more instructions before they go to the cart. ANY help appreciated, I think I’m on the right track because I already have the following code, but I know the positioning code here is not going to align it directly under the ADD TO CART button like I need it to (because I need for my CHECKOUT button to automatically align itself with the add to cart button no matter what the browser window size is, etc): <style> .checkoutbutton { background-color: #292929; text-indent: 0; display: inline-block; color: #fff; font-color: #fff; font-family: arial; font-size: 12px; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; height: 50px; line-height: 50px; width: 250px; text-decoration: none; text-align: center; } .checkoutbutton:hover { background-color: #292929; font-color: #fff; } .checkoutbutton:active { position: relative; top: 1px; color: #fff; } </style> <p align="right"><a href="/pagelink" class="checkoutbutton">CHECKOUT >></a></p>
  24. Sometimes we'll offer Influencers product in exchange for shoutouts/advertising and we'll allow them to choose the items they get. However, when they go to our site and add their desired items to the Cart, they usually end up having to screenshot everything and send those to us, just so we know what they are requesting. It can get pretty annoying if we're offering a lot. It would be great if there was a way to forward your Cart to someone in an email. This would even be an excellent feature for somebody that wants to buy a gift for someone and has no idea what to get them. Considering 'Abandoned Cart Recovery' is a thing, it seems like this should be easy to achieve. We just need access to that same email, but triggered by a 'share' button. If there is already a way to do this kind of thing, please share! Thanks for reading.
  25. Hi, I would like to change the text in checkout Step 4 (Review and Purchase) before the password? What is the right way to do that? Thanx....
