  1. Site URL: https://www.bridgingfortomorrow.org I created this website a few years ago. I no longer work for this organization. Not long ago (30 minutes) their new communication girl called me, wanting to know where the "information" was for a specific page. I said, "Do you mean the copy?" she said, "I mean... like where do you have everything that was on the page?" After a few more questions, she says that she was updating the page and now it's just "gone". I log in and realize that she's deleted, not just one page, but the entire blog - it appears to me. She doesn't realize that yet. She only realizes that one page on the blog is gone. This single page took me so long to create and code. Isn't there supposed to be an easy fix - if she just deleted this, I can go into the trash and restore it. However, there is no trash can on the bottom of the pages panel. The very last thing on the bottom of the page is just the last page. See screenshot. That's the bottom of the page; it won't scroll down any further. Am I incorrect that there should be a trash can here? Is there another way to find the lost blog/pages? Thanks so much for any help. Cheers, Hannah

On the portal you will have the option to post an add. You can later revisit your portal to either remove the add our change it. I am using memberstack to create accounts and to create the portal. But I don’t know how to fix a form that the customer can use to send an add for inspection and the revisit it In the portal to change or remove it. Any tips or ideas?
  3. I've been having numerous problems with SS and they're telling me it's bc the homepage of the website uses 15 MB of data rather than the recommended 5 mb. The biggest thing I have on there is a 12 second looping video- it's 12mb. I just readded it as a Youtube link instead. Will this lower the data usage of the site?
  4. Hello there, I'm unsure this is the best forum section to post in, so apologies in advance. I'm trying to figure out how to build a symptom tracker on a Squarespace website. The idea is for people to subscribe (via member areas or Memberspace) and for individual members to complete health surveys / questionnaires periodically. They would then be able to view their results in a graph from a page specific to them. For example, say a member was to log their weight every week for 12 weeks. I would like them to be able to see the progress in weight change over time on a page that's specific to them. Does anyone know of any integrations, plugins, etc. that would allow me to do that? Ideally I'm looking to build this myself, but if you're a Squarespace developer and have done something like this before, please get in touch to discuss further. Thank you in advance πŸ™πŸ½ Miguel

And surprisingly any person can right click on any of my pictures and download them. So I want to know if it is possible to disable that for my website ? I also noticed that, (even for some other website), you could just right click and then select "inspect element", which then shows you the HTLM and CSS code of that page, and you can clearly see the specific private address of the pictures an videos, and download them that way. But I know that you can hide that data, and prevent a download, which something I've noted on some other website. So If you can help me insure some picture security I will be grateful, thank you.
  6. Let's say that on a webpage you want to rank the best baseball teams by regular-season wins over the past ten years. (Two-column chart.) But you also want the page visitor to be able to select additional listed variables (playoff wins or world series wins or whatever that are in your data set), so that the list of the best teams is then resorted in real-time (potentially expanding the number of visible columns). Is this possible? And how might you do it? Thanks for your time.
  7. The article on how to view changes made to your website through the change log only gives instructions for Squarespace 5, not the current version that my site is running under. I can't find a Data and Media tab as the article suggests that supposedly contains the change log for my site, so where on earth is it?   8. Hi All, Non-technical here, so I'm not exactly sure what I am asking - bear with me! I'm in the men's fashion niche and trying to create a "tool" for folks to compare brands. I want my first iteration of this to be a dynamic webpage featuring one templatized layout that gets its data from an external source (think Airtable). Most of the data on the page should come from that database except for headers, and titles and such. Is this something that's feasible? Where can I go to learn more/what would I type in Google to learn how to create something like this?

And I don't see anything in the developer docs about the cart either. I know the cart page itself is rendered via React, and they include the cart JSON data within the HTML on the page, but it's not available to fetch from anywhere else on the site.
  10. Hi everybody, I'm working on a website for a small-scale music label and we'd like to have a page that acts as an archiveand as a central place to download the music. The problem is that we'd like to be able to categorize and sort by various categories, like mood, tempo, genre and so on. Is there a way to do this in SquareSpace? I know products can be sorted by category using commerce, but we already use that option to sell products and we don't want to mix songs and products into our product page. Right now we just have a bunch of sub-sites and hyperlinks, which is not dynamic at all and doesn't look great, you click on, for example, mood, and then on the mood you want and get redirected to the according site, which is a) painstakingly slow for the user and b) not very dynamic since we need to upload quite a large amount of songs that often have multiple categories that would apply to them. For reference, if you scroll down a little on https://artlist.io/ you get a overview of their songs and have the option to sort on the left, that's roughly the functionality I'd like to implement. I'm thinking some sort of database would be able to fix this, however I'm not very knowledgeable in that area, I have little experience with mySQL, but not enough to set up something totally custom.   11. Hi all, I have my facebook catalogue linked into my squarespace product data feed, however I am wanting more than 1 image per product to be fed to my facebook catalogue. I can't find anywhere to make this happen and have been manually adding images to products once they are in my catalogue. Any advice would be super appreciated! Thanks

I'm currently building one of my first full websites, and I had 2 questions regarding some features I'd like to implement, but not really sure how to go about it. Its an NFT database for all upcoming NFT projects, so users would come to the site to view projects and get more information on them. that being said, on the right I have the information for each projects listed under the tabs like 'project size' 'mint price' 'mint date' etc. I'd like there to be a way to organize these projects, from top to bottom, based on those values. so essentially a SORT BY dropdown feature, that allows users to sort by projects based on those 3 values, 'mint price' lowest to highest, highest to lowest, 'mint date' soonest to latest, latest to soonest, and 'project size' biggest to smallest, smallest to biggest. I'm not very familiar with coding, but I was curious if there was a sort by feature or organization feature I could implement that would allow me to make those custom values to be sortable. After speaking with customer service, it seems as if coding is the way to go. This will be my first time doing this, so I will take all the help I can get. (After this, the next roadblock is integrating a LIVE Twitter/Discord Follower Count for each project, so that I do not have to go in there everyday and update each project, since these numbers are constantly changing and need to be up to date, I was thinking along the lines of utilizing Social Blade, but not sure how to go about that either) Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions, very new here, and would not be against partnering up with a dev to help me finish this, it will generate some decent income once it's all said and done.

(Example: If they answered a question a certain way like: Are you a new or existing business owner) 3) email lists they signed up for. Kajabi is really great for this, but I just love squarespace design. I'd love to make the change but need to know if this is a possibility yet. Thanks all!

The problem is i get a critical error from Facebook catalog manager: "A product is missing a field: inventory". Of course I have stock in my squarespace account. I tried creating a facebook data feed rule where Stock->inventory, but it didn't do any good. Does anyone know a way around this?

  16. Site URL: https://www.chrisjfreeman.com/books Hi and thanks everyone for taking the time to read this. I have two customers that I am trying to fix the same issue for. (One URL included). What they are both trying to do is be able to pull the customer data (at Point of Sale) and use elsewhere. Let me give an example: Someone jumps onto the website and buys the Book. We'd like to take that customers data, put it into our CRM, tag them and because they bought the book start them off in an automation which is setup for book sales. However if someone purchased an eBook then we want to do the same but for the eBook automation. And while I don't have one setup at the moment, if they purchased a ticket to an online event (say a webinar), then the same applies: they end up in the CRM, tagged correctly and start an automation dedicated to that webinar. The SQSP commerce is setup. The CRM and automations are setup. Where I am getting stuck is getting the customer data and line item(s) out of SQSP, at the point of sale (or in a very close time to sale), so that I can do something with it automatically. SQSP doesn't seem to, and have advised me they don't currently have a Zapier link to pull this data without adding a form to the sale and I think it would look weird to add a form someone has to fill in with all the same data that is already in the sales process. Integromat (who are now Make) have commented on a few SQSP commerce posts does seem to be able to pull the data from SQSP at POS but there is a huge setup that is required if there are multiple lines or different products offered (book, eBook, Webinar) etc. And then with Make, if you want to check 'regularly' (say every 15mins) then you will chew through their free plans 'operations' in a week just by 'checking' if a sale is make, even if there are no sales. In my ideal world, something like this would be possible: 1 - Customer makes a purchase 2 - Customers details and line item history are passed through to our CRM (I can't see how this is possible) OR Customers details and line items are passed through to a google doc (I still can't see how this is possible at the moment) 3 - Zapier (or something) runs on new google doc line items and inserts into CRM 4 - CRM automation triggers and customer is treated nicely based on purchase If anyone has any advice, suggestions, further questions to clarify my thinking or things I have already tried, please let me know as I would really like a solution that doesn't involve needing to move items away from SQSP an into another platform, like Shopify.   17. Hi all, I just ran into the searchable database issue with a client. He has a list of insurance policies on google sheets and wants it to be searchable on their website. Basically the page would have two fields "Policy Number" and "Client name" and a "search policy" button. The report generated is supposed to display three types of info from the spreadsheet: "Policy type", "Expiration date" and "Status". Ideally the data has to be secured and not expose the info of other clients. P.s. I'm not a programmer but I'm trying to figure out a way to solve this.
  18. I need to set up pages which are very repetitive in structure and wonder if there is a better way to do it than manually creating all the pages. I will have one page which contains a list of links to bio pages for different people, and then each bio page is almost exactly the same structure, just with different title/text content/photo. Last year, I manually created these pages: Example directory page: https://www.crossworldafrica.org/meet-the-herd-2021 Example bio page: https://www.crossworldafrica.org/eric-garvin-herd-2021 In an ideal world, I would have some sort of database or CMS I could enter the photos/text/titles into, and have pages automatically created from this structured data. Site URL: https://www.nhbassnation.com/2022-tournaments Hello, I am trying to create a filterable table/database like the one found here: https://www.bassmaster.com/bassmaster-tournament-schedule I am using the custom table block connected to a google spreadsheet to do something similar here: https://www.nhbassnation.com/2022-tournaments, however, adding content to this table is a bit challenging due to space/responsiveness, sorting takes a little manual work due to the two day events (e.g. September 17-18), and I'm reluctant to add last year's events to the list without some sort of filter as I know it will crowd things even more. I've explored Event collections but I'm not finding a way to have a clean simple list with links. Ideally, I could set something up that one of our less technical officers could add content to and maintain. Any ideas and recommendations are appreciated. Thanks! James

I am trying to create an A/B split test campaign using customer journeys on Mailchimp following this blog's advice: https://meetedgar.com/blog/hacked-mailchimp-ab-test-automated-campaigns/ I currently run a landing page for my company, advertising a free product which signs potential customers up to our e-mail flow. The sign up button uses a classic light boxed form block to collect the user's information. In order to successfully split test our e-mail campaign I need to assign a value, let's say "1" to 50% of the users that sign up, and another value "2" to the other 50% of the users to sign up, which will give me the freedom to split test my e-mail flows automatically. I understand how to add one fixed value "hidden field" within a formblock, but can I use custom code to assign variable values by chance? E.g. 50% of the users are assigned to one value, and 50% are assigned to the other? Is it possible to have people be able to see the results and be sortable? For instance someone could sort results by location via dropdown menu or selection box - I hope this makes sense.
  23. Is it possible to have a spreadsheet, like a Google Sheet when updated change the tags and categories of blog posts? Client wants to list 100 community resources and their tags and categories are going to keep changing. They don't want a straight list, but a photo and details for each resource which I had envisioned as a blog article for each. The challenge comes in if 27 of them need to add a new category, it would require opening 27 blog entries, whereas a spreadsheet might be able to autopopulate / update the categories and tags assigned to the blog. Is this possible? Thanks.
  24. Hi, I'd like to ask if anyone knows a way for me to essentially match information that someone provides to then direct them to a different product suggestion depending on those answers. I'm trying to see if I can 'match' their input to various 'outputs' - using tags or maybe some kind of extension? If it requires coding, that's okay too! Here's the flow: 1. Client completes a survey, answers are text-based answers and we will have already designed all of them so they just 'choose' as opposed to free-text 2. Answers are all 'considered' and we then 'calculate' the best suggestions to them for purchase and we take them to those specific product(s) 3. The client sees the suggestions and chooses the product they want to purchase So where I'm having trouble is, how can I actually use the answers I get from the survey and actually vary the product suggestions based on that? Is this possible? Appreciate your help!
  25. I'm building on online store for a cannabis company, and certain laws and regulations are presenting me with unique challenges. For example, we aren't allowed to directly sell cannabis products on our site, so I've made our "add to cart" buttons link to the BC Cannabis website instead of adding the item to the cart. My next challenge is to hopefully set up the squarespace store pages to automatically update the product prices when they change on the government website, in order to save time and prevent miscommunications that might frustrate customers. Does anybody have any insight into how to accomplish this, and/or whether it can be done at all?
