  1. We have a question regarding the uploading and organising of information for our 'business directory' on our website. We have a spreadsheet with all the details (name, type, address, number, opening hours etc) for businesses in our area and would like to use this to create a local 'Traders Directory' for users to search on our website. The Traders will be organised into : Type (Categories) - eg. Baker, Bank, Dry Cleaner etc Description (Tags) - eg. Open Late, Delivery, Vegetarian etc Also - by 'Good Trader' - ie. those businesses that we would recommend and 'All Traders' which would be a general directory for everyone else. We are not sure how best to organise this information on the back-end of the website. Currently we have used Blog posts for each individual business (see example below) , but are finding it difficult to manage this information (there will be close to 300 individual businesses). For the users, the Categories and Tags will make it easier to navigate and search the different businesses, but for us, organising this via the Content Management System is laborious and difficult to organise. Ideally, we'd like to upload our existing Excel database to Square Space, but understand that's not possible? If we have no option but to create individual business /traders as stand alone blog posts on the Blog Management Page, these will just appear all together and will be difficult for us to organise (ie. no folders etc). Currently there are only 4 posts, but when there are 300+ businesses it will be much harder to manage and update. What would you suggest?! Thanks
  2. I would like to connect Xero with Squarespace Commerce. Which do you prefer? Do they breakdown the sells and taxes or do they also help move varies fees to the appropriate account? Xero by OneSaas https://www.squarespace.com/extensions/details/xero or Greenback https://www.squarespace.com/extensions/details/greenback
  3. Hi all, I have my facebook catalogue linked into my squarespace product data feed, however I am wanting more than 1 image per product to be fed to my facebook catalogue. I can't find anywhere to make this happen and have been manually adding images to products once they are in my catalogue. Any advice would be super appreciated! Thanks
  4. Site URL: https://www.flogthedog.com/ Hi folks, I'm having an issue with resolving "missing fields" within in Local Businesses. I have connecting Google My Business and and ran test on Structured Data Testing Tool and Rich Results Test. See below screen shots of test and SEMrush screenshot where is details the issue description as "A value for the @id field is required." Any help is appreciated. Best, Steve
  5. Site URL: https://www.ecelc.ca/ *site does not yet have page live for content in question It seems to be possible to add Survey Monkey to a website via code or plugins. Is it possible to have people be able to see the results and be sortable? For instance someone could sort results by location via dropdown menu or selection box - I hope this makes sense.
  6. Site URL: https://www.aycadesign.com/products Hi everyone, I want to sell on an instagram shop. I've created an automatic data feed to my facebook account from squarespace. The problem is i get a critical error from Facebook catalog manager: "A product is missing a field: inventory". Of course I have stock in my squarespace account. I tried creating a facebook data feed rule where Stock->inventory, but it didn't do any good. Does anyone know a way around this?
  7. Site URL: https://www.mgpokemon.com/ Hello all, I recently started a company that grades and evaluates trading cards like Pokémon, Digimon, Magic, and more. Once these cards are done the are given a serial number for both authentication and data tracking purposes. I am currently keeping track of all cards in a Microsoft excel document with 8 field for each card. I would like to add a search bar to my website that lets people enter any one or multiple of the fields to see the amount of cards graded and what there grades were. This works as a population report and helps people determine the value of their card. For example if someone searches for a card like Pikachu #25/25. They should get a result showing something like Perfect 10- 1 card, Pristine 10- 0 cards, Mint+- 3 cards, and so on. If necessary I will hire someone to build this in the future but I would like to implement a simple version sooner if possible. Thank you for the help.
  8. Site URL: https://brightbarboston.com/ Hi! I am trying to get some feedback on my site loading time. If there were some volunteers out there who wouldn't mind going to my site and letting me know your initial load time as well as your reload time when accessing that would be amazing! https://brightbarboston.com/ Thanks Friends!
  9. Site URL: https://www.pelealumnicorp.com/ Hello I'm looking for someone who can do two things for our website: 1) disable the right click option so folks can not download pictures 2) if possible block a viewer from accessing the website The website I manage is http://www.pelealumnicorp.com Thank you, Deborah
  10. Hi all, I'm looking to create a searchable database of political candidates similar to https://www.brvotes.org/. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good 3rd party tool for providing more robust search and filtering functionality that what Squarespace offers out of the box? The display options for the native search and archive block functions are just too limited for what we're trying to do. We need search results that only show the post titles (as opposed to Squarespace showing all of the results from the body of the posts) and category results that we can customize to display much more compactly than the posts in X category page that Squarespace gives you when you use the dropdown option on the archive block. Thanks!
  11. Site URL: http://sarjosoftware.com I'm setting up a very simple website in association with an iPhone app. I need to store data in JSON format on the website for access from the app. I have several questions about this: How do I upload the data to the website? Can I simply upload the data as a file (using the link editor)? How do I get the URL of the uploaded data? How do I test my app using the URL before the website goes live? Thanks.
  12. Is it possible to have a spreadsheet, like a Google Sheet when updated change the tags and categories of blog posts? Client wants to list 100 community resources and their tags and categories are going to keep changing. They don't want a straight list, but a photo and details for each resource which I had envisioned as a blog article for each. The challenge comes in if 27 of them need to add a new category, it would require opening 27 blog entries, whereas a spreadsheet might be able to autopopulate / update the categories and tags assigned to the blog. Is this possible? Thanks.
  13. How do I block cookies prior to consent? What is needed to comply with GDPR? I'm looking at cookiebot and cookieyes but I don't know if these block cookies prior to consent as required. Has anyone found a solution?
  14. I recently migrated from BigCartel. I’ve connected my Stripe account but none of my previous order data, sales, customer information has transferred into the backend of my Squarespace site. Is it possible to import my data using a CSV file ? Or any other possible way ? Echoing what others are saying - this seems like a huge oversight, as of right now, none of my data from years of sales/customer base engagement has transferred into the Squarespace backend. Any advice on how to ameliorate this would be immensely helpful. Thank you !
  15. Site URL: https://carnegieendowment.org/publications/ Thanks in advance for your advice! We are in the process of designing a website where want to be able to host a wealth of learning content (such as research papers, presentations, webinars, courses, etc). It would need to have the ability to search this content across various parameters (like the example shared from the Carnegie Endowment above). Does Squarespace allow for such functionality? I can see that I can have site-wide search, and page-specific search, but I can't see how I would give the option to make the search function more refined. Any advice or previous experience with this greatly appreciated 🙂
  16. I'm building on online store for a cannabis company, and certain laws and regulations are presenting me with unique challenges. For example, we aren't allowed to directly sell cannabis products on our site, so I've made our "add to cart" buttons link to the BC Cannabis website instead of adding the item to the cart. My next challenge is to hopefully set up the squarespace store pages to automatically update the product prices when they change on the government website, in order to save time and prevent miscommunications that might frustrate customers. Does anybody have any insight into how to accomplish this, and/or whether it can be done at all?
  17. Site URL: https://www.nacmiaslaw.com/table-trial Hi Everyone, Was embedding a table created with some indexed bootstrap code and it's posing some issues once on site. HTML works perfectly fine when opened independently in a browser window, so I'm a bit confused by why the transition on site leaves so much to be desired? Attached are images of the code displayed on Squarespace vs in browser independently. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm far from pro, but feel like I'm close to a solution for this :) Thanks y'all!
  18. Hi, I'd like to ask if anyone knows a way for me to essentially match information that someone provides to then direct them to a different product suggestion depending on those answers. I'm trying to see if I can 'match' their input to various 'outputs' - using tags or maybe some kind of extension? If it requires coding, that's okay too! Here's the flow: 1. Client completes a survey, answers are text-based answers and we will have already designed all of them so they just 'choose' as opposed to free-text 2. Answers are all 'considered' and we then 'calculate' the best suggestions to them for purchase and we take them to those specific product(s) 3. The client sees the suggestions and chooses the product they want to purchase So where I'm having trouble is, how can I actually use the answers I get from the survey and actually vary the product suggestions based on that? Is this possible? Appreciate your help!
