  2. Wish I had known more about summary blocks and the fact you can make a "list" of blog posts a whole lot more exciting looking with some design tweaks. https://myrandomviews.com/storysummary Update: Another thing I wish I knew is that you can isolate and group blog posts using a category filtered by a hyper-link. They will show up in list layout or as featured posts, depending on how your blog is styled, and your template setting, but these posts look like they have their own 'page" without actually having to use one. So I mix things up on my site, some posts in a summary block on their own pages, and some grouped using hyperlinks. Those links can go anywhere, on the nav bar, in a folder on a button. And those links can be used outside the site, in emails, social media posts, lots of things. The url slug will take you to the first item in the folder. myrandomviews.com/special-stories
  3. Create the page in the unliked section of your site, can't be seen on the nav bar or anywhere else without knowing the address of the page itself, which you can create in page settings in the slug field. So in effect it could be something like this "mydomain.com/hiddenpage" no password required.
  4. Haute and Farro, in style tweaks you can adjust the padding on both sides of the site. I assume that means you can remove it which should widen the site to full bleed. This may help as well:
  5. Did you try this? Reactivate a suspended account If your Google Workspace is suspended, you'll lose access to your email inboxes and other Google Workspace features. You’ll then have 40 days to reactivate your Google Workspace account before it’s completely cancelled in Squarespace and transferred to Google. Ensure your billing credit card is up to date. In the Home Menu, click Settings, then click Email & Google Workspace. Click Reactivate Google Workspace. Verify the payment information and terms, then click Reactivate Google Workspace. If transferred to google (over 40 days) then try this: How to reactivate a suspended Google Workspace subscription Use the following instructions to unsuspend your Google Workspace subscription through Google Domains: Sign in to Google Domains. Select the name of your domain. Click Menu Email. Click Go to Google Workspace settings or Manage Google Workspace subscription Reactivate. Pay the outstanding balance as prompted.
  6. Check the blog page slug something might have changed .
  7. Its a workaround, but I can tell you having some kind of photo management feaure like one hosting compay I have used has (if they still have one, their templates are awful) and others have is most likely not going to happen, images are stored in such a way to make sure your site is responsive, images adjust to fit on all devices and with all screen resolutions. They give you more control and that could very well go away.
  8. Sometimes you don't see the changes take place "live" if you are signed in. I open an incognito window or use my domain address to view, no the squaresapce domain.
  9. I agree, that is why I don't use the SS search function, and use my own image organizer.
  10. Well sometimes the simplest thing works, sometimes, try this in custom css. .blog .entry-content { display: none; }
  11. Move the blog page to your unliked section of your site, whic takes it off the nav bar. Put the summary block on its own page, summay blocks don't have to be in the blog itself. Mine are not and I have a lot of posts and a lot of categories, in my archive block and some on my nav bar, and some in a folder. My blog main page is in the unlinked section of my site. my random views
  12. Uploaded images if no longer posted on any of your pages don't add any load time to your site. If deleted off the site, they, the thumbnails, will eventually delete from the image search gallery. I personally don't use that gallery. I do everything from a very good image sort, folder making, library and edit program on my desktop. It Is free to anyone who wants it, Sony Play Memories Home. Sqarespace doesn't treat images uploaded the way a lot of website hosting sites do. This explains what they do with them: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205812748-Image-and-file-URLs-in-Squarespace
  13. Yes, I do. it is more of a workaround. Put your blog page in the unlinked section of your site. Then create a new blank page in the regular part of your site. Add a blank section and in that section put a summary block pulling content from your blog page. Set the items to two or three however many your want, add spacers to each side of the block, adjust the column and gutter width you can pretty much make it the exact width you want. I tested using the same template and it works. There is a 30 post limit per block but you can have more than one block on a page.
  14. That is just a reference to the platfom my template is built on 7.0 as opposed to 7.1, I left out the word block by accident. Anyway I tested this on my site and added a summary block at the end of a blog post. I then edited the summary and could choose primary metadata, which could be a cat or tag and secondary which could also be a cat or tag. Both or one could be a number of other things as well, date, author, etc. I did the same with my 7.1 sandbox site, and it too allowed me to choose cat in either primary metadata or secondary metadata or both. So I could have two cats, or two tags or one of each.
  15. This code has worked for many templates in custom css, you can change the width by adjusting the px number. section#container.blog {max-width: 960px;} You may have to use this code instead: section#container.blog {max-width: 960px !important;}
  16. This tutorial shows how to change 7.1 blog post width wide or narrow. Code is not required and if still have some in your site trying to change the width, you should remove it.
  17. You simply create a file link, which can be text, button, or image. Directions and the video guide are here: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205813928-Uploading-and-managing-files
  18. With 7.0 you have to have a gallery page for the summary block to see, loaded, not a gallery block and it cannot be inside an index page or the summary will not pull content from it. 7.0 summaries can also pull content from events, projects, and products page. It will pull content from a blog. 7.1 only sees content from a blog, store, or event pages. Both 7.0 and 7.1will allow gallery blocks in a blog and summaries will link and pull a thumbnail from those pages as well.
  19. Are you using 7.0 or 7.1? In 7.1 gallery pages, sections or projects sections click the litte image icon, panel opens on the left with thumbnails, I hit the upload images + , I can choose to drag and drop like with 7.0 or open one of my image folders. I can choose/ click put the check mark on multiple thumbnails from my image folders on my desktop and up they go with a progress bar instead ot that spinning circle I get in 7.0. I tested both my 7.0 and 7.1 sandbox/lab sites and could upload multiple images in any gallery page or gallery/project or gallery block.
  20. What happens when you try uploading multiple images at once into the media panel? What do you see? I have over a thousand images on my site, in gallery pages, blogs, gallery blocks and have had multiple things happen, or not happen when uploading but when it comes to a gallery page or block, when its a new one, I upload multiple images, usually by drag and drop at once, both for myself and the other photography sites I manage.
  21. The blog works really well and couple that with a summary block, if you want more style options, and you can make, without a lot of work, what you need.
  22. I did this with a group of blog posts, that is serialized. I guess that is the best word for it. I have a link to them on my nav bar. Its not hard to do at all. The nice thing is that link could be a button, in a footer, many places, including a landing page as you can see here: my random views
