  1. Hi everyone! I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I have my domain with SiteGround (I purchased it this week, and I believe there is a 60-day lock on transfers). I do not have a hosting plan, which means they do not provide access to DNS settings. Is there an alternate way of connecting my domain to SquareSpace? Thank you in advance for your help. Andre Costa
  2. Hi all, Here is my saga: I'm setting up a new website for a client, migrating from Wordpress to Squarespace (www.slide.com.au). My client originally point me to a company named Digital Pacific for everything DNS. Long story short, these people tell me that it has nothing to do with them but with Cloudflare. My client doesn't have any login details for Cloudflare or has any idea of when or why this was set-up. To regain access to the CF account, they ask me to change the nameservers - which I find out out of the blue, are with Netregistry. I was able to get access back to the Coudflare account and made the DNS changes requested by Squarespace in order to connect the domain. Attached is what I see on both end. The Cloudflare end seem ok but Squarespace is still showing errors. What can I do to solve this? Does this have anything to do with Netregistry? Thank all.
  3. I am having an issue every time I try to connect my domain to my Squarespace page. I am the domain owner and try to click through the "use my own domain" flow, then type in the domain name and select "Google Domains" option. The next step is clicking to launch the window to log in to the Google account associated with my domain I was to link. However even before that upon launch of the window a "There was an issue linking your Google Domain" appears in the background and upon selecting the correct Google account this message appears: Reached out to Squarespace support - but I have not had this issue on my other account and was able to link them yesterday.
  4. I have an existing, active domain on a different hosting platform that I would like to transfer to a new website I have built on Squarespace. I have been reading about the transition period which the Help page suggests might take 15 or so days to complete. I am wondering if there will be any interruption to my existing domain/website during this transition period-- i.e. Will my existing website be down during this transition period? I would assume not as that would make any transition very difficult because company's (including ourselves) cannot afford such downtime for their website. I am assuming the answer to this is no but wanted to confirm before I initiate the transfer. Any insight from someone who has transferred an active domain to Squarespace would be helpful! Thanks,Matthew
  5. Hi there, while my SustainableBuildingSupplies.com.au works, but the same wiht www. in front (i.e. www.SustainableBuildignSupplies.com.au) just shows the enetica domain registration page . Can someone advise how to solve this? CheersMarc
  6. I need Squarespace to tell me my IP number so I can edit my domain managing page which is currently being managed by Go Daddy. At the moment, without making this fix (which GoDaddy just suggested) people can't Access my website as they always have in the past. the only way they can access it now is by going to https://MYFIRSTNAME.MYLASTNAME..squarespace.com/?r=A BUNCH OF NUMBERS. I'm sure this could easily be fixed if I could only talk to a Squarespace support person, but I believe that kind of support is no longer available. So I need help in contacting the appropriate person or persons by email. Thank you – Lloyd
  7. My client used a squarespace domain and is upgrading her site. Both exist on SS but the domain transfer keep getting an error message Moved request failed try again later. I ran down the list of things that could be wrong and still no resolve. Any suggestions?
  8. I transferred my www.brownstudy.info domain from InMotion Hosting to SqSp on Thursday. I want to point that domain to a micro.blog site and then repurpose my SqSp area for a new domain. Should brownstudy.info be the Primary domain when I point to the other site? Or should it be non-Primary? I would like to drop the "www." but this can only be done from the Primary domain. Should I drop the www., then wait 24 hours for the new name to propagate, before pointing to the other site? And again, should that be done with the domain Primary? I tried doing this the other day and got very confused; I was likely pressing too many buttons at once. I had dropped the "www", made the domain non-primary, and added an A record pointing to the other site. I deleted the default SqSp DNS settings, also. At that point, of course, the site went offline but I could not get the other site to "see" the domain. Did I do something wrong, should I have waited? Thanks for any help. I'm prepared to contact SqSP support directly if that's more appropriate. Mike
  9. Hello!I've added two domain (managed by godaddy) to my account. Now I would like to redirect one of those domain to another domain with some addition to the URL: If some user goes to the .de page, he will be redirected to .com/de/. I've tried to create an URL mapping, but it doesn't work. mydomain.com is my primary domain. https://mydomain.de/ -> https://mydomain.com/de/ 301
  10. I manage a site today, call it www.thesite.com. I would like to use SquareSpace to enable our marketing team to fully develop the front end of the site and connect to the current servicing pages for logged in users. Is there a way to do this? Can the new SquareSpace front end also have the www.mysite.com URL? If not, what options do I have? Our site is currently written in Ruby on Rails, hosted on Heroku, and integrates with Stripe and other 3rd parties, so I am reluctant to change the servicing URLs. ThanksRobert
  11. A client who is a blogger is wanting to use unique links to send visitors to sites where she has a discount code. For example, she has a thrive market discount code. Instead of using her unique link, she wants me to set up www.mywebsitenamehere.com/thrivemarket that will forward visitors to that unique link. I've done this before on other platforms, but not Squarespace. Can someone please provide insight?
  12. I know that the Squarespace FAQs say this can't be done, but I thought I'd ask the question - is there any way I can link a second domain to a specific page on my website? The main domain is linked to the homepage of the website, but I was running a second site which I've now incorporated into my Squarespace site. As people are familiar with the old domain name, I want it to link directly to the new page on the website which I've set up - is this possible at all? Thanks.
