  1. Site URL: https://www.thepennmoviegoer.com/ Hi everyone! We run a student movie review website at https://www.thepennmoviegoer.com/. We recently redesigned the site to make extensive use of blog templates, content tags and a new set of templates. We'd love to hear what you think we might be able to do better here, specifically around different things we could be doing with our article experiences, and other things we can do to get users to read more than one thing during a visit. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, and for supporting student journalism! Cheers, Matt
  2. Site URL: https://www.soulandfineart.com/ SS 7.1 fluid pw: Art-is-Joyful here is the problem I am trying to solve. I have a two pages that in turn has a link to a blog with a tag example https://www.soulandfineart.com/events?tag=test1 on my site its testpage1 and test page 2 when i click on the link i get a dynamic list of entries with the "test1" tag. I want to inject a link in this page to send me back to the document.referrer page that way if I came from test page2 and hit the return link i'd go back to test page 2 but if i got the list via test page 1 id return to test page1. I managed to get the individual pages to go back to the original search like this <a id="link">return</a> <script> var scrt_var = document.referrer; document.getElementById("link").setAttribute("href",scrt_var); </script> I just need a way to inject the same thing into the list returned by https://www.soulandfineart.com/events?tag=test1 Here is what i'm trying to say: or if there is a better method for doing this I welcome the suggestion thanks for your time, John
  3. Site URL: https://www.wanderlustnursery.com/shop/products Hey folks! I'm hoping this is an easy one for the hive mind here. I'd like to include a link on my main product page to a filtered list that only shows products that are not sold out. I'm not trying to hide the label, but actually filter the product blocks entirely. I can't seem to find a way to do this out of the box... Here's the site: https://www.wanderlustnursery.com/shop/products

  6. Site URL: https://www.vatcllc.com/careers Good afternoon, We will be switching over to Greenhouse in the coming months and I need to figure out how to add their custom tag / scripts to our page. Our Careers page will direct them to the page with the job board. I have reached out to Squarespace support and they cannot assist with custom code modifications and pointed me to ask here - in this forum. There are two scripts that Greenhouse provides - the first is division identification tag for the application: <divid="grnhse_app"></div> The second is a script src attribute that identifies job board Javascript location: <scriptsrc="https://boards.greenhouse.io/embed/job_board/js?for=business"></script> I need to identify how to insert both of those scripts on our job board page via Squarespace. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you
  7. I have used the below css code to remove the tags from my blog post. That worked perfect. The tags are still located on my main website page and blog preview page. Does anyone know how to remove this? .blog-meta-item--tags { display: none; }
  8. Site URL: https://atomsmasher.squarespace.com I am using a summary block to display projects and currently have the tags appearing in the top right, however on hover i want a colour background... in the site (password : atomsmasher) with the tag NEW i am trying to reduce the colour overlay to just over the image not the container below. This is happening just when the tag "NEW" is being displayed. I've tried code to reduce only on the tag.. ie a[href="/work?tag=NEW"]{ .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-block-setting-metadata-position-below-content .summary-metadata-container--below-content{ margin-top: -20px !important; } } ..however cant get it going.. any ideas? @tuanphan
  9. Site URL: https://www.tomahawkslnk.com/book We need help creating a custom Tag for Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 that will fires as a Conversion every time an appointment is booked. The issue we are facing is that we are using Acuity Scheduling on our Wix website using the embedded scheduler. So tracking conversions is very limited since when an appointment is booked it doesn't redirect to a different page. Our Domain https://www.tomahawkslnk.com/book Acuity Scheduling Client's Scheduling Page https://tomahawksbooking.as.me/schedule.php HTML Code Embed on Wix Web Page <iframe src="https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=1#####" title="Schedule Appointment" width="100%" height="800" frameBorder="0"></iframe><script src="https://embed.acuityscheduling.com/js/embed.js" type="text/javascript"></script> For example here is the confirmation page, this is where we need the Conversion Tag to fire.
  10. Site URL: https://www.qnb-tuebingen.de/energieberaterinnen I would like to display the tags of a blogpost within the blogpost. I want them to be "listed" in the middle of the text. As I see it, I need a code block and custom css for this. I don't really know how to do it, though. This is how a blogpost should look like: Background: I use Squarespace to create a search system for our partner network (energy and building related). For this I use the blog system, because it allows practical features like categories/tags, excerpts and easy listing. I use the categories as exact job titles (energy consultant, carpenter, heating construction, electrical engineering etc.) and the tags for concrete services (construction planning, energy consulting, termography etc.). Our customers can now search for specific services or professions and get a list of all the craftsmen for that category/tag in our network. So for my purposes, the blogposts are profiles where the services offered should be listed. You can look up the site and the profils aka blogposts, but it is in German. Here is a list of energy conultant profiles (using summary blogs). https://www.qnb-tuebingen.de/energieberaterinnen I am grateful for any help!
  11. Hi there, I just got my first SS site up for my wife and about to start on mine, which will include an array of categories/topics and tags (I am about to purchase another paid subscription) After alot of reading, it seems like limiting categories and tags is best for SEO according to this article. My site will have Blog Posts, Podcast, and other Media that I would like to be able to filter by Category/Topic/Theme but as well as by Bible Reference, like book of bible + chapter, i.e , Psalm 50, or John 15, etc. I want to organize my site as best as I can from the beginning. Examples Posts: Post written on Psalms 42-46 with each Psalm tagged (i.e. #psalm 42 , #psalm46, etc. in addition to a some more metadata and topics or themes such as #book2 , #psalmsofkorah #refuge Many posts will just be on one passage, but include a a few themes My Goal: to strike a balance between well organized easily findable content + SEO. A few questions in light of this (1) Organizing How many Categories should a post have? Only 1? More than one? Should I have a tag for each reference, which would including two elements, "book of bible + chapter"? What are pros/cons to organizing "Media" within a Media page as opposed to using the "Blog" area and inserting the media within a new post? I liked what I saw regarding a 3rd party plugin "Universal Filter" and can see that that would be very helpful for organizing content on the site. I am not familiar with plugins, is this encouraged, dangerous, etc.? Pros/Cons to using only tags? Are Categories necessary? If I was to only use tags, are there SS functionality limitations that I am not aware of yet (very new user). (2) SEO Is it recommended to hide from search engines "All tag pages in this collection" option? Is it recommended to have fewer categories but more tags? Or does it really not matter if "hide from search engines" its used correctly? Really appreciate any guidance or direction. Thanks so much everyone.
  12. Site URL: https://capier-investments.webflow.io/portfolio-3 Hey all, I wish to create filtering options exactly as the URL : https://capier-investments.webflow.io/portfolio-3 I want the design to be the same as well as the functionality ie the ability to apply multiple filters. The only difference will be instead of 3 there will be 4 filtering options. Please let me know squarespace options or any resources that will be help me achieve this. Thank you
  13. Site URL: https://www.cottoncashmerecathair.com/ I have discovered via search console that Google is indexing my archive pages, categories, and tags over individual blog posts, which means my site is not showing up in search results when it should be. How can I tell Google not to index those pages and instead index the blog posts? I read in other posts here that you can inject code, but how do I inject code for pages that aren't in my navigation? I also know about canonical links but they confuse me; is that something I do in search console? How does one go about setting those? Any insight/tips would be much appreciated!
  14. I created a website where all contents/sections display on a single page. I then added links to each section with the hope that users can click a link and it moves them to the relevant section of the page. I have found that unfortunately I can only add “buttons” that link to the sections instead of including links in the header of Squarespace. Is there a way to add links or multiple buttons within the header? I have 5 sections in total I need to link to. Thanks
  15. Site URL: https://shedhorn.com/ I'm looking for a way to limit the tags available for selection on a product page. I'm using Universal Filter to create categories, etc. within the Shop page but the client is having trouble with employees entering options beyond the ones that are "allowed" in the filter. Ideally, I would be able to turn the tags section on a product page into a multi-select drop-down. Has anyone done something similar?
  16. Hi guys, I need to build a job board on my squarespace site which advertises jobs from external sites. It's basically a list of links which should be filterable by pre-defined tags and categories. I would like to display it in a similar style like the blog post summaries. Main requirements: - Option to add individual categories and tags - Redirect to an external page link when people click on the ad - Option to filter the job ads - No item limit -> I tried using the squarespace blog and the universal filter to build a workaround but it has a 30 items limit and it's also a lot of effort to administrate. I've also checked out the job board plug in by elfsight but unfortunately it doesn't have a filter option and does not allow me to change the button text or category names. Do you have a suggestion for a good plug in that I could use?
  17. Hi everybody, I'm working on a website for a small-scale music label and we'd like to have a page that acts as an archiveand as a central place to download the music. The problem is that we'd like to be able to categorize and sort by various categories, like mood, tempo, genre and so on. Is there a way to do this in SquareSpace? I know products can be sorted by category using commerce, but we already use that option to sell products and we don't want to mix songs and products into our product page. Right now we just have a bunch of sub-sites and hyperlinks, which is not dynamic at all and doesn't look great, you click on, for example, mood, and then on the mood you want and get redirected to the according site, which is a) painstakingly slow for the user and b) not very dynamic since we need to upload quite a large amount of songs that often have multiple categories that would apply to them. For reference, if you scroll down a little on https://artlist.io/ you get a overview of their songs and have the option to sort on the left, that's roughly the functionality I'd like to implement. I'm thinking some sort of database would be able to fix this, however I'm not very knowledgeable in that area, I have little experience with mySQL, but not enough to set up something totally custom. Any ideas? Many thanks, Julian
  18. 19. It can be a challenge to get CSS going to customize a blog post page. The following cited code adds the categories and tags of a post as classes to a selector you choose (body or article would be a typical choice). Please see Blog Post Categories and Tags Add.
  20. Site URL: https://www.cuirimsportsrecovery.com/services/ I've added anchor tags like what is described in the article attached. The tags are not jumping to where they should be on the page, just staying put. Can anyone help fix this issue?
  21. Site URL: https://www.nimpairings.com/all-recipes-pairings Hello Squarespace Community, I have a food and wine blog and I need to display both tags and categories for each blog post on my blog landing page. Categories on my website are for meal types (starters, main courses etc) and the tags are meant to display the wines (Chardonnay, Merlot etc). Without the Tags appearing, one important information is missing. I contacted Squarespace Customer Care who told me that this feature was not built-in yet. Is there any way to display tags using code? Thank you so much for your precious hep!
  22. Site URL: https://chicken-porcupine-hpzr.squarespace.com/ Hello, I'm working on the following site: https://chicken-porcupine-hpzr.squarespace.com/ password: anrp I'm looking to make the tags and categories in the blog section non-clickable, since I don't want users to land on the actual filtered "blog pages" (all of the blog content on the site is linked to external resources). I am using the "tags" and "categories" to show which languages each resource is published in, and the publisher. I tried #block-6616f4886a08f8f6e626 { pointer-events: none !important; } but that made it so nothing in the blog category was clickable. Thanks for any ideas!
  23. Site URL: https://www.moneyforchangehub.org/ I need to add a conversion tag on the form to know who many people signed up coming from the LinkedIn ads I will run but I can't find where to insert the code.
  24. Site URL: https://www.harriganslanecollective.com.au/venues2 I have over 250 images so I have to have more than one gallery. How do I pull tags and categories from both galleries in my Summary Blocks? Is there a way to increase the gallery limit? Thank you!
  25. Hi! Is it possible to get a css code for replacing the price to "sold out" on all sold out items? I have tried to do some custom coding myself but I could only get it to appear underneath my price on my shop page and this has created some bugs on the IOS shop page. It would also look a lot better if it could just be replaced with the price and I believe this will solve both issues if possible. Thanks a ton in advance.
