  1. unfortunately, Squarespace is limited in this capacity in that you can only create discount codes ONE by ONE and manually. you can't upload or create discount codes in batches, nor can you edit existing discount codes in batches.
  2. based on the posts here in the forum about the Members Area, it looks like it wasn't thoroughly beta-tested before release. so many shortcomings and missing features.
  3. i don't think you can set a minimum order amount by country. in Commerce -> Checkout, you can set a minimum order amount but it appears this applies to all customers regardless of where they are. one solution i can think of is to set up a separate store just for UK customers, set the shipping there just for UK customers, and then set the minimum order amount. the thing is you'd have to maintain two sets of inventory, unless you use a third-party extension like Trunk.
  4. @LilianLVB - unfortunately, the discounting feature on Squarespace is not that advanced. you can't do discounting the way you described.
  5. you can generate a discount code for just one customer by setting the limit total uses to 1 and customer limit to 1 also. you can give it a descriptive name like, 25% off - Customer Name. unfortunately, with Squarespace, you set discount codes one by one. the Discounts section/area could be better too, and it would be nice to be able to batch edit discounts.
  6. @RCL87 - with dollar amount prize codes, a customer can't combine another sale promo code with those. for example, if i'm running a 10% instant discount storewide, a $10 prize code will override the instant discount. as for free shipping, it depends on how you have free shipping set up. in my case, i offer free US shipping on orders of at least $35 - the free shipping is auto-applied. however, someone with a $10 prize code will have to put in $45 worth of products in their cart in order to trigger the free shipping. if they put $35 worth of products in their cart and use their $10 prize code, then the auto-free shipping disappears and they have to pay shipping. you can also set up a free shipping discount code (which i do -- like lower minimums to select repeat customers, such as a one-time use free shipping code on a $25 order instead of $35) so if someone has a $10 prize code and a free shipping code for a $25 order, they can use both codes during checkout if they put at least $35 worth of products in their cart. does that make sense? anyway, that's how i use discount codes; i have product/category specific discount codes that i include in every order (tailored to the kind of products each customer buys) and these discount codes are higher than what they'd see in my store. it's an effective way to get my existing customers to continue being repeat buyers.
  7. THIS! It took me all but 30 seconds to switch back to the old editor when I tried the new editor back in November. It was TERRIBLE! There is nothing wrong with the old/current editor so I wonder why in the world they would want their customers to switch to the new editor that is clearly so dumbed down, so buggy, and offers a poor User Experience as @JPalm pointed out. If it's not broken, why fix it?!?!?!? There are TONS of new features and enhancements Squarespace could add to the Commerce plans -- features that many have asked for over the years and yet they seem to simply ignore those valid requests for features. No wonder many are leaving Squarespace and/or regretting ever signing up.
  8. your client would be better off with another platform that offers the Cash on Delivery if time is of essence. you can log a request with Squarespace customer support for the functionality but don't hold your breath. you'll be given their standard response: that they've let their engineering team know and will add your request to their list blah, blah, blah, but they can't guarantee it will be done/added. they work on their own timeline, so better go with a different platform that already has what your client wants/needs.
  9. @JRBrick - right now, it appears like buying the gift cards from yourself is the only option. it's ridiculous, though. you shouldn't have to buy from yourself in order to generate gift cards you intend to use for promotional purpose or for donating to a cause. but that's the solution i was given by Squarespace customer care several months ago. right now, i do discount codes + a free shipping code when i'm doing giveaways.
  10. @paul2009 - just a note that the link to the Squarespace news - https://sf.digital/squarespace-news - that you have on the page (in the first paragraph) is a dead link.
  11. You're going to have to create a ticket to customer care about this. They don't read and/or count requests posted here on the forums.
  12. Shop pages supporting 10,000 products are great but I have to say that they are a pain in the **s to manage because there is no automatic sorting feature for products. When you add a product to a shop page, you'll have to manually drag it to the right spot if you want it alphabetized. If you set several categories for a product, you will have to go in EVERY category to drag the product to the right place. Otherwise, it gets thrown to the front or very bottom -- and this is reflected on the page that customers see. It boggles me why Squarespace didn't include an automatic sorting feature so products appear alphabetically. This would be an essential feature when you are dealing with thousands of products on one page. (And yes, I can use the spreadsheet to sort products but I have read so many posts about issues and errors uploading product spreadsheets I just don't want to deal with another thing that Squarespace ought to have fixed already.)
  13. i'm blown away by how slow Squarespace appears to be (or how they don't really seem to care) in adapting to the current e-commerce climate brought about by the pandemic. so many features being requested by Squarespace customers Squarespace is failing to address that it looks like they are losing business. so much potential here for Squarespace to be at the forefront and become a serious competitor. every day i see here in the forum requests from users for features that should have been present from the start (or should have already been implemented because they've been requested for years!) and i'm disheartened. i've only had my Squarespace store since May and there are some features i wish are already there, but so far i have made it work with what is there. i would hate to move again but if things become unmanageable, i may have to eventually move to Shopify.
  14. contact their customer care and put this in as a feature request. i wouldn't hold my breath, though. from what i've seen around here and from experience, SQSP could care less about what its actual customers need or even get simple, expected features in an e-commerce system added in a timely manner.
  15. Go to Commerce -> Customer Notifications. You'll be able to customize emails, including adding your logo to order receipts.
  16. SQSP folk don't really read every post in this forum nor do they respond to feature requests here. you will need to contact customer support and log a ticket regarding a feature you want added. and then pray (if you're the praying sort) because there is no guarantee the feature you want will ever see the light of day. they tend to do what they want rather than actually listen to their customers. if they did, issues/problems/limitations with taxes, order creation, shipping, manual gift card creation, manual order creation, coupons/discounts, etc. would have already been fixed or addressed. honestly, on the backend side, they are severely behind the competition with all the ridiculous limitations and lack of features that you would actually find in other e-commerce platforms today.
  17. @freelancervillepalmu - you can try contacting SQSP support and see if they can help you with it, but what you're trying to change/translate is part of the email template that we can't edit so I don't know.
  18. His screenshot is the new look for the confirmation email. And I don't see a way to switch back to the old editor. I also remember reading that sometime in January 2021, everyone will be switched to the new editor and any customization you do on the old one will not be carried over.
  19. @tuanphan - OP asked specifically if the line ""We will be in contact shortly regarding the services you have ordered." can be edited. It can't be edited...you can add extra info before or after that part, but you can't edit the Order Summary part.
  20. That part of the template can't be edited, I'm afraid.
  21. Unfortunately, I've read so many times here that SS doesn't really read the forums. If you want a feature or something, you will have to log a ticket with their customer care support. Frankly, I'm surprised SS ignores so much of what's going on in this forum because it's a HOTBED of insights as to what their customers want and need, and how they can make their platform, especially the Commerce plan, so much better. They market themselves as giving you the tools to create beautiful websites easily -- and I agree with that...my site/store is so much better than any of my previous stores BUT if you look under the hood, it falls short compared with competitors like Shopify. So many things on the backend that could be fixed/improved/added that would make Squarespace a truly great e-commerce platform, but unfortunately, from what I've observed, they seem to be in their own world.
  22. If you have a Squarespace store (Advanced Commerce), you can sell gift cards that customers can use to buy stuff that you are selling on your Squarespace store. Recipients are sent a code that they copy-paste when they are checking out from your store.
  23. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be possible. I just tested it a while ago by setting up automatic discounts for both Orders Over and Products by Category. Interestingly, the cart applied the automatic Products by Category discount even though the amount is a lot lower than the Orders Over automatic discount. (I think I've read that the cart will apply the larger discount but it doesn't seem to be the case...or I could be wrong and remember incorrectly.) SS discounting feature needs improvement and it's been one of the things I've been frustrated with, especially since the store pages were upgraded in October. All my previously set discounts stopped working and I had to re-set everything. Also you can't run more than 3 automatic discounts at any given time -- I have mentioned this to SS support and she said while the engineering/technical team hasn't addressed this issue since I observed this in early October, she simply guesses it's intentional. (IMO, store owners should be able to run more than 3 automatic discounts because we each have our own selling strategies in place. SS doesn't know our customers/audience like we do and we should be able to set automatic discounts without being limited.)
  24. No, you can't change the product type. You'll need to re-create it and choose the correct product type -- Service instead of Physical.
  25. If Squarespace allows the manual creation of gift cards, it might be possible -- and you'd have to create the free gift card manually. As it is, as store owner, you can't even use gift cards as a promotional tool because you'd have to buy the gift cards from yourself -- the "solution" I was given back in May when I asked why I can't create gift cards to give away (which, IMO, was a ridiculous solution).
