POLL: Suggestion for New Contributor Permissions Level: "Developers"
paul2009 replied to CesO's topic in Forum Resources
I agree about the privileges model. I've been advocating for improved permissions for years (and requested this as a feature). It was probably fine for most sites where there's a single user, but as Squarespace are now targeting professionals and agencies, I would like to see some improvements. Regarding a specific contributor role of "Developer" (as opposed to Designer), I see this as providing the same as access as Administrator but without access to areas that contain financial or personal information that do no need to be disclosed to a developer who is coding the site. For example, preventing access to Orders, Analytics and Contacts/Profiles. -
How to change ALL the automated text from English to Hungarian
paul2009 replied to Poszata's topic in Customize with code
The text you have quoted is referring to a competitor product called Multilingualizer, not Weglot. Weglot can translate every part of your Squarespace website's online content, including the checkout page. To do this, you must enable language subdomains in Settings > Setup > Subdomains/Subdirectories. That said, I would not recommend Squarespace if your entire audience is in Hungary because, as you said, Hungarian is not a Squarespace-supported language and so, even if you translate all the on-page content, your commerce email notifications will remain in English (or another supported language). I’m not sure that I understand. The site version does not affect the availability of the automatic discounts feature (where a discount can be automatically applied when certain conditions are met). This feature is only available on the Advanced Commerce Plan, regardless of whether it is a v7.0 or v7.1 site. Is it possible they are referring to a different feature?

Customising the new Order Status Page
paul2009 replied to Sophiejacksonstudios's topic in Customize with code
@LCCatering Circling back to this, what would you like your Order Status page to look like? I assume you are seeing something like this right now? -
It depends. Will the old site live on or are you moving the domain from the old site to the new site?
-
Please check the URL. That page doesn't exist.
-
Yes, you have your existing site hosted with the "www" subdomain, and a new site hosted with the "magazine" subdomain, both on the same domain. For more information, see Creating a subdomain for your Squarespace site. If you experience any issues, please post back with full details and screenshots. Did this help? Multiple 'alt' attribute in same ‘<img>’ element.
paul2009 replied to Sandigidy's topic in Images & Videos
Have you added custom code that could be causing this issue? If you aren't using custom code, you are encouraged to inform Squarespace directly by raising a ticket through Squarespace Customer Support. -
No. It isn't possible to add a percentage and apply this to the cost of the order the order. You'll want to ensure that your prices are sufficiently high to cover the cost of payment processing. Did this help? Please give feedback by clicking an icon below ⬇️

How to make images in list section clickable?
paul2009 replied to emm.farines's topic in Customize with code
I'm not seeing this on other sites, so it's difficult to say why. That said, there are multiple snippets of code and the site is attempting to load three different versions of jQuery 😳 so it may be worth tidying those up and checking again? -
Although it isn't possible to change the text recorded by Squarespace in Stripe, you can import sales directly from Squarespace, avoiding the need to pull them from Stripe. You can import historical transactions from the Squarespace Orders panel. You can automatically import new sales transactions using the Quickbooks extension for Squarespace. When you connect this to your Squarespace site, each sale will automatically be added to Quickbooks (either as a sales invoice or sales receipt) in real time. Did this help? Help. SPF failures with new Google Workspace account
paul2009 replied to monograma_studio's topic in Domains
Squarespace takes care of the MX records but the SPF record must be created manually. The Google guide Add your SPF record at your domain provider explains the values that must be added for Google Workspace and this Squarespace guide explains how to add the SPF record within Squarespace. Bear in mind that, if your client intends to use their domain for other email services, the SPF record will need to be modified for each service they intend to use. -
I wouldn't generally recommending changing URLs unless there is a good reason for doing so. However, if they do need to change, for example, products will inherit "/p/" as part of the URL on v7.1, then you can create redirects in the URL mappings panel. Did this help?
