  1. Hi @RobSah, I'm glad to help you. I understand your concern. Below, I've added a few insights that might be helpful: I've searched your website. This folder isn't showing on my search. According to my experience, this happens due to the search intent (I'm not sure). This comes from the navigation menu and most popular pages. You can try to remove them from the navigation. Would you mind applying this on your end and letting me know? I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Sifat
  2. Hi @Maatheew, I'm glad to help you. In Squarespace, we can't do it using any plugin. Follow this step-by-step guide to add FAQ schema to your website: Generate the FAQ schema markup: You can create your FAQ schema using Merkle tools. I personally used it. Before adding the schema, it's crucial to validate it to ensure it’s correctly implemented. You can use rich result test tools. You can add the schema markup to your website by following the steps: Dashboard -> Select Page -> Click Page Edit -> Click Add a Block -> Code. I hope this helps! If you've any queries, please feel free to reach out. Best regards, Sadul Sifat
  3. Hi @Jlamb79, I would be happy to help you. If your website is not being indexed by Google after moving from Weebly to Squarespace, several potential issues need to be troubleshooted. Can you please confirm that on GSC, you are able to see all the data? Can you please share with me the screenshot of google search console and website url? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Sifat
  4. Hi @dougnorrie, I would be glad to help you. Could you please share your website URL with me? This will allow me to help you efficiently. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Sadul Sifat
  5. Hi @jr2, I'm glad to help you when you receive "other errors" related to scripts, images, or fonts on your Squarespace website. While not all errors are critical. Google Search Console's all notifications are not an issue. Google want to let you know about it. Thank you, @Collaborada, for Sharing helpful resources here. Best Wishes, Sadul Sifat
  6. Hi @rebeccastrom, Thank you for getting back to me. To ensure that your 301 redirects are functioning correctly when both old and new domains, follow these steps: Manual Testing: Open a web browser and enter the URL of the old domain. Ensure that it redirects to the corresponding URL on the new domain. Repeat this for multiple pages to verify that all redirects are working. Use Online Redirect Checkers: Utilize tools like httpstatus.io, Redirect Checker. Enter the URL of the old domain and check the response headers to confirm a 301 redirect. If you've any further questions, feel free to ask! Best regards, Sifat
  7. Hi @rebeccastrom, I'm glad to help you. You've taken the right steps to change your domain while minimizing SEO impact: Connected the new domain and made it primary in Squarespace. Kept the old domain connected and redirecting to the new one. A temporary drop in rankings and visibility is normal. Here's why: Google needs time to recrawl and reindex your pages on the new domain, which can take several weeks to months. Existing backlinks need to be updated to point to the new domain. My Recommendation: Ensure all 301 redirects from the old domain to the new domain are working properly. Double check on this. Be patient and allow a few weeks for Google to process the change. Monitor performance in Google Search Console. Request sites linking to the old domain to update links and update your internal linking. Continue publishing high-quality, relevant content to build authority. I hope your rankings will recover and improve over time. Let me know if you have any questions! Best regards, Sadul Sifat
  8. Hi @sandrakeus, I'm glad to share my insights with you. The page title, which appears in the browser tab, is indeed important for both user experience and SEO. It serves as a key element in how your webpage is presented to users and search engines. Your title should accurately describe the page's content. You can include your primary keyword. Avoid vague titles; instead, be specific about what users will find when they click through. Aim for a length of about 50-60 characters. This length is generally sufficient to convey the essence of the page without being truncated in search results. Ensure that each page on your website has a unique title. This helps prevent confusion for both users and search engines, allowing each page to stand out in search results. I hope this helps! If you've any further questions, feel free to ask. Thanks, Sadul Sifat
  9. Hi @RHP, Thank you for getting back to me. If you have a bunch of photos of the same person, it's best to differentiate them slightly to avoid duplicate content issues and to provide more context. In this case, I'll follow with descriptive phrases. e.g.: Bruce-Willis-Speaking.jpg, Bruce-Willis.jpg, Photo-of-Bruce-Willis etc. This way, each image has a unique filename that still includes relevant keywords. I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thanks, Sadul Sifat.
  10. Hi @RHP, I'm happy to help you. Naming your photos correctly can significantly impact your SEO. I do it before uploading images to Squarespace. Below, I've added a few insights that might be helpful: You can use filenames that accurately describe the image content. For example, instead of "IMG_1234.jpg," use "blue-widget-product.jpg." Use hyphens (-) to separate words in filenames. Google treats hyphens as spaces, while underscores (_) do not provide the same clarity. Avoid Special Characters: Refrain from using special characters (e.g., @, #, $, etc.) as they may cause issues with SEO and compatibility. Renaming images before uploading ensures that search engines can index them correctly from the start. I hope this helps! If you've any further question feel free to ask. Thanks, Sifat.
  11. Hi @Aoedanzy, I would be happy to help you. I've searched your brand keyword "Freedom TGS" and noticed that your Home page and About Us page appear in SERP. Could you please specify which keywords you're experiencing this issue with (you can share a screenshot)? I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Sifat
  12. Hi @Belindarobyn, I'm happy to help you! Below, I've added a few insights that might be helpful: Yes! Squarespace's automatic canonical tags are usually effective for blogs. Squarespace automatically adds canonical tags to all pages, including blog posts, to avoid duplicate content issues. [The automatically generated canonical tags point to the primary URL of each page, taking into account factors like www vs non-www, http vs https, and trailing slashes.] The automatically generated canonical tags are generally sufficient, and there is no need to manually add them. However, if you have multiple versions of a blog post you can manually add a canonical tag in the page code section pointing to the original version to clearly indicate the source to Google. This can help avoid any potential duplicate content issues. If you've any further questions, feel free to ask. Best regards, Sadul Sifat.
  13. Hi @SHEKSEO, I would be happy to help you. The errors you've received in Google Search Console are related to missing required fields in the structured data. For confirmation - Could you please share your website URL and GSC email screenshot with me? This will allow me to understand your issue clearly. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Sadul Sifat.

  16. Hi @SKG0369 I can help you with your current situation. Below, I've provided some potential insights that might be helpful: It's common for newly published websites to take some time to appear in search queries. This delay is due to the indexing process that search engines like Google undertake. First, submit your sitemap on Google Search Console so that Google can discover your pages efficiently. Use the URL Inspection Tool to perform live tests for all the URLs and submit indexing requests while doing the live tests. It will help refresh the data in the search results and index the pages. Here are some resources to guide you through the process: URL Inspection Tool: https://youtu.be/Pe_-TkdbXN0 Google Search Console Guide (+ Tips & Tricks): https://youtu.be/WAjd9B7whgY?si=lqQFSaFU2LFw2jx You will find the full Squarespace SEO checklist here and If you prefer to receive personalized recommendations on your website, check out SEOSpace. 17. Hi @Scotty_90 I'm glad to help you. Yes, you're right that Squarespace has its limitations when it comes to improving page speed, but there are still several ways to optimize your site: Choose Web-Safe Fonts: Limit the number of web fonts used on your site to speed up loading times. Stick to web-safe fonts like Arial, Courier New, and Verdana. Limit Embedded Content: Reduce the number of YouTube or Vimeo videos embedded on your site. If necessary, use custom thumbnails to prevent large files from being downloaded. Remove Custom Code: Eliminate unnecessary custom code, third-party embedded codes, and code injections to speed up your site. Disable Unnecessary Add-ons: Remove extensions and plugins that are not essential. Enable Ajax Loading: If your site is on version 7.0 and your template supports it, enable Ajax loading. Ajax makes page loading appear quicker and seamless. It's ideal for content-heavy pages, such as blog pages and gallery pages. You can check out this article: https://www.seospace.co.uk/blog/why-is-squarespace-so-slow You can check Squarespace's article: Reducing your page size for faster loading. I hope that insights help you. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thanks, Sadul Sifat.

  20. Hi @canaldingo, I'm happy to help! It sounds like you're tackling a couple of different challenges with your Google Business Profile (GBP) profile and Local Business schema. Could you please confirm me that you used custom code for the local schema? I'll be able to provide you with a potential solution. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, Sadul Sifat
  21. Hi @AshleyAR, I'm happy to help you. Yes, this dropdown menu automatically creates a 302 redirect. It's a Squarespace functionality and won't affect your website's search engine performance. If you'd like to fix this with custom coding (though I'm not 100% sure), you can try the following: Add the below code into your Settings » Advanced » Code Injection » Footer area. This code will turn any folder, with a url that ends in -folder/, into a clickable folder. The url preceding the -folder/ will be the clickthrough url. For example, in the below example the folder will clickthrough to the page /pagename Code: <script> (function () { let folders; function rebuildAnchor(folder) { let parent = folder.closest('.header-nav-item--folder'), href = folder.href.includes('.com') ? folder.href.split('.com')[1].replace("-folder/", "") : folder.href.replace("-folder/", ""), anchorClone = folder.cloneNode(true); anchorClone.classList.add('clickable-folder'); anchorClone.setAttribute('href', href); anchorClone.style.cssText = ` opacity: 1; transform: unset; `; parent.insertAdjacentElement('afterbegin', anchorClone); if (href == window.location.pathname) { console.log() anchorClone.closest('.header-nav-item--folder').classList.add('header-nav-item--active') } } function addToMobile(folder) { let href = folder.getAttribute("href"), hrefAdjusted = href.includes('.com') ? href.split('.com')[1].replace("-folder/", "") : href.replace("-folder/", ""), text = folder.innerText, newText = `All ${text}`, mobileFolder = document.querySelector(`[data-folder="${href}"]`), backButton = mobileFolder.querySelector(".header-menu-nav-folder-content > *:first-of-type"), allButton = `<div class="container header-menu-nav-item header-menu-nav-item--external"> <a href="${hrefAdjusted}">${newText}</a> <div>`; backButton.insertAdjacentHTML('afterend', allButton) } /* Select All Folder Links & */ function setFolderLinks() { folders = document.querySelectorAll('.header-display-desktop .header-nav-folder-title[href*="-folder/"]'); for (let folder of folders) { window.addEventListener('load', function() { addToMobile(folder); rebuildAnchor(folder); folder.remove(); }); } } setFolderLinks(); })(); </script> If you've any further question, feel free to ask. Best wishes, Sadul Sifat
  22. Hi @The-Doctor, I'm happy to help. To update your Squarespace site's sitemap in the Google Search Console after making changes and wanting to expedite the process, you can take the following steps: Resubmit Your Sitemap: You can resubmit your sitemap to Google Search Console to prompt a re-crawl and indexing of your updated content. You can check this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/drGKblnaa79b Check Last Read Value: In Google Search Console, check the Last Read value for your sitemap to ensure it reflects the last time you submitted the URL. This can give you an indication of when Google last processed your sitemap and whether your recent submissions have been acknowledged. Google may still take some time to crawl and index the updated content, especially if there have been significant changes or additions to your site. Allow Google some time to process the request and update its search results accordingly. By following these steps and being patient, you can help ensure that Google re-crawls and updates your Squarespace sitemap in a timely manner. If you require further clarification, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks, Sadul Sifat
  23. Hi @evemarden, I’m happy to help you. I understand your concern. Below, I’ve added a few insights that might be helpful: Snippets are generated automatically from page content, emphasizing and previewing the most relevant information for a user's specific search. Google Search may present different snippets for different search queries. You can check out this article: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/snippet I hope these insights help. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thanks, Sadul Sifat.
  24. Hi @KyKyKy, I would be happy to help you. Could you please share your website link? Is it connected with Google Search Console? That way, I can take a look and provide you with a suitable solution. Thanks, Sifat
  25. Hi @LANGEUNDLANGE, I'm glad to help you. Below, I've added insights that might be helpful: Using Weglot for a multilingual website with the same content, Google recognizes the unique pages and does not consider them duplicates. You do not need to create subdomains. Weglot automatically translates and displays your content, ensuring that each page is unique and indexed correctly by Google. But if you want to set up language-specific subdomains (e.g., a French website would be https://fr.websitename/French), then you need to create a subdomain. Would you mind letting me know? If you've any further questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks, Sadul Sifat
