  1. I want to block China (I don't mean to sound offensive) but chinese based companies constantly steal peoples artwork and try to sell on cheap products as their own (this has been happening ALOT recently to people I know) and i'd like to block the country all together from my website. I'm not too knowledgeable on coding and since I can't seem to find an option to do this i'm hoping you can via coding. Thank you!!
  2. Hi there, I'm looking for a little bit of code that will hide the image title and description when viewing a gallery in lightbox mode. Take the below page for example; https://thedesignemotive.com/architecture-design/editors-pick/bardolph-gardens-breathe-architecture When you click on the main gallery and hover over each image, the image title and description shows. How can I hide this, applicable to the entire website? Thanks
  3. I already found a solution to show the description of an image on a gallery page with the following code: .slide-meta { position: absolute; display: block !important; color: black; font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.3; } The problem now is that other images hide the caption of the image above. How can the space under an images made larger so the fully caption is visable?
  4. Hello! I'm using Forte, and in the project gallery I have added a description to the image, but it does not go the full width of the image. Is there CSS to fix this? @Paul2009 I think you've solved similar problems for other people : ) Can you help, please? Thank you so much! I've been searching the forum, but don't see exactly what I'm looking for.
  5. Hello, I am using wells, and am very happy with the way it looks, but when you click individual images in the gallery, the title and description are displayed next to the image. I want to turn that off. I am happy having the title there, but no need for the description. Is there a way to do this? many thanks, Mark
  6. I want the image Title & Description to appear below the slideshow (rather than overlapping the image). Has anyone done this in Brine? Temp URL is https://horse-blue-mllf.squarespace.com/landscapes pp: wyunabayartist I've had multiple attempts at adapting other people's code for this and no joy.I'm just learning CSS so would appreciate any advice.
  7. Hello, I'm using Bedford template, and was able to remove the transition with this script: <style> .sqs-active-slide { opacity: 1 !important; } </style> However, on mobile, the title and description still disappear between images. Here's the link: https://www.melinaromano.com.br/ Can anyone help?
  8. So please bear with me as I'm a novice when it comes to CSS or any of this. I've been trying to google answers for the past few hours now to no avail. Essentially I'm just looking to have 1:1 images, with a title and a description, stacked in 2 columns on mobile. A gallery grid does basically what I want on desktop and mobile - but doesn't show descriptions. A summary block does it too but stacks one image on top of another and when I have 60+ images, it becomes a huge scroll. I have not been able to find solutions to either of these issues so if you have a solution to either instead it'd be greatly appreciated. So now, I've just succumbed to doing individual image stacks. I've found out how to shrink the image blocks just in mobile, however I still can't them to form rows/columns despite the extra room now they have on the right (as seen in the screenshot). The code I'm using is below. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Hi, I hope somebody could help me solve out this problem. Even though I put description on "seo description", it didn't show up on SERP and also excerpt is recognized as meta description... Does anybody know how to show up seo description?
  10. I'm trying to tweak the mobile viewing of my website, which is www.lorgallery.com, the image descriptions of a slideshow won't show in the mobile version. Also is it possible to edit the view of the Menu as well for mobile? Thanks!
  11. Hi as you can see in attachment, after 5 months of using SquareSpace, why Google show my website description in such format? How do i change that to proper wordings about my company in SS? I email SS support but their answer is not helpful at all. Please help me.
  12. Is there a way to edit the SEO Title and Description of individual products, and product categories? I know with any other page you simply click the gear button and under SEO you can edit the title and description, but there seems to be no way to do this to individual products and product categories. Any and all help is appreciated. Mike
  13. How can I / which template permits the display of description in addition to title of a video, with title above the video and description below? Also, I'd prefer to do this on a scrolling page. Thank you.
  14. Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to set a specific text size/font/color for my slideshow titles and descriptions. I have basic knowledge of CSS, I just can't figure out how to identify the elements I'm trying to change in code. Basically: ???? {color: font-size:opacity:etc:} Would really appreciate if anyone could help me fill in the question marks! (Also I'm using Wexley template if that makes a difference). Thanks
  15. I've got a grid gallery block on this page: faberproductions.com/san-francisco-commercial-production, and only the title is displaying under each video. I don't see an option in the gallery block to display the descriptions. Should they automatically be displayed? Automatically not be displayed? I use a bunch of CSS but don't see how anything I'm using could make the descriptions be hidden. If it is my CSS, does anyone know the right CSS to make descriptions for gallery blocks visible? I could then change what I've got globally to work or inject some CSS into the advanced tab of the page. Thanks! Chris
  16. Hi all, does anyone know how to get image descriptions to display underneath images in a grid gallery block? I found CSS that allows you to display image titles underneath each image but descriptions have much more flexibility than titles in how you can edit them and I need that flexibility. Here is the CSS and a short video on how to use it for anyone wondering and what it looks like. It works well but it is made to display titles. A simple modification might make it reference descriptions in the gallery block instead of the titles but I am unsure how to specifically do it. Or maybe something different all together. #block-yui_3_17_2_37_1419048882075_5861 .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper .image-slide-title { display: block; }" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LownrrdrBS4
  17. I want to insert a page description in order for the description to display on search engines, however I don’t want the description to show in the website banner itself. When I enter a page description it also stretches out the website banner. I can ‘hide’ the description by making it transparent, however the banner remains stretched. No page description entered the width of the banner is exactly how I want it: However when I insert a page description it stretches out the size of the banner. I can ‘hide’ the description from displaying on the banner by making it transparent, however the banner will remain stretched and not the size I want. My goal is to hide the page description from the banner while keeping the width of the banner the same as the first screenshot, as if no page description was entered. Thank you for any assistance.
  18. I can't find the answer! I've already tried image block caption CSS workarounds. I can't find one specifically for video blocks. RIght now, the caption that shows up (beneath the video) is so tiny that it's very difficult to read. This font category doesn't seem to be listed in the DIY Edits panel either. Please help! Naomi
