  1. Jasper theme. I would like to get the height of the index intro text block to match match the height of an index item. Simply put, I'd like the intro text block to "pretend" like it's an (un-clickable) index item so it looks proportionately consistent with the rest of the page. TIA!
  2. So please bear with me as I'm a novice when it comes to CSS or any of this. I've been trying to google answers for the past few hours now to no avail. Essentially I'm just looking to have 1:1 images, with a title and a description, stacked in 2 columns on mobile. A gallery grid does basically what I want on desktop and mobile - but doesn't show descriptions. A summary block does it too but stacks one image on top of another and when I have 60+ images, it becomes a huge scroll. I have not been able to find solutions to either of these issues so if you have a solution to either instead it'd be
  3. Site URL: https://friloe.co Hi there, Just setting up my online art/clothing site and am currently trying to figure out how to put a description underneath a title on my shopping page. I am trying to insert a description about an artist underneath their name so people can understand what their creative intentions are. I have provided a screenshot to better understand what I am needing help for. Every-time I try it copies it to every page. (BTW I am VERY new and VERY bad at website creating so all the help I can get will be much appreciated) Let me know if anything else is n
  4. Hi all, Hope someone can help. In 7.1 is there a way to change the text that appears under the various sections created when you add a form block? For example, as shown on the attached screen grab, when I add "address" to a form it creates the text entry boxes Address 1, Address 2, City, Zip/Postal Code, State/Province, Country I want to be able to change those values, so for my UK website I can remove "zip" and change "State/Province" to "County". Is there a way to do this? Code this? Thanks
  5. Hi all. I have a Gallery section, (in 7.1) set to Masonry layout, with Lightboxing activated. I would like to have the images' individual descriptions/captions HIDDEN at the top level (so the masonry grid stays clean), but VISIBLE in full when someone clicks on an image to expand it into the lightbox format. I know it's not natively possible, but is there a way to do it with a code snippet perhaps? There is so much I need to say about each image, but not at the top, section level. The first impact has to be one of clean lines and no clutter. The second level, is drilling down to the
  6. Site URL: https://www.ryanbowleyphotography.com/italy/venice-the-palazzo-ducale Hi, First, image metadata importing is enabled for my site. I have exported an image from Lightroom Classic 10.2 with both a title and a caption. I then imported that image (the last in the gallery of the page referenced) into a SquareSpace 7.1 Gallery Block. While I have "captions" turned on for this gallery block, no description text for this image shows and the "descriptions" field for the image is blank. The images that do have captions were exported by a previous edition of Lightroom. Am I missing
  7. Hi, I'm using carson template and I added index page, I want to show the descriptions of each page below titles. Like this: This is my index page now: I would appreciate if you help me guys Thank you,
  8. Hello, I am using wells, and am very happy with the way it looks, but when you click individual images in the gallery, the title and description are displayed next to the image. I want to turn that off. I am happy having the title there, but no need for the description. Is there a way to do this? many thanks, Mark
  9. Hi I am wanting to move the description text on the mobile Flatiron template to have the text below all the images, without changing the description position in the desktop version. Is this possible through custom CSS? Thank you!
  10. Site URL: http://www.timjobling.co.uk Hi, I've seen a few threads regarding this issue but none have solved my problem. I'm looking for a way to display the image descriptions underneath each image on my site. There are a number of custom CSS solutions out there but none seem to work on my site, I'm not sure if this is due to grid style of gallery. It would need to work on both desktop and mobile view. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Tim.
  11. Site URL: https://garlic-chinchilla-f53p.squarespace.com I'm making a portfolio, using a masonry gallery. I've found some code that means when I hover over each image the description shows over the image. But it's meant that my lightbox is disabled, i found more code to rectify but it doesn't seem to work: .gallery-masonry-lightbox-link:after { content:''; position: absolute; width: 100%; height: 100%; top: 0; left: 0; z-index: 9999; } Does anyone know how to get my lightbox to show and still keep my hover text? Thanks in advance
  12. Under each Product Title on the main Store Page, I want to show the product's Description which for me is important because it will contain the Allergens. I don't want them to have to click the item just to know which has certain allergens. I've already tried my best to figure this out, to no avail so I now turn here hoping someone could help... My initial idea was to scrape the description of every product individual pages and append that to their corresponding block in the Store Pages, but I don't know if that's possible or how to go about that. Thank you very much for your time !

  15. Site URL: http://rosannabach.com/ Hi, I am using the Wells template and am looking to reposition the descriptions for my gallery photos. See image attached. It is currently a text box placed middle right - and on horizontal images it overlaps terribly with the photo. How would I be able to move it to the bottom left corner so that it is aligned with the navigation? - or even just put it under the photo on the left side in a smaller font. Thank you! Rosanna
  16. Site URL: https://www.facciolawinebar.com Hey there! I'm setting up an e-commerce and followed a tutorial from the forum to move the additional info to under the product description I found here on the forum (not sure which one at this point, sorry!) It worked really well on the desktop version of our website. But it kinda looks wonky on mobile and since I'm a newbie with coding I couldn't figure it out myself. Is there any way I can have the additional info in two columns like the desktop version? It looks really weird right now... Also, the description itself and the price a
  17. Site URL: https://www.whatmattmakes.com First time posting. I am using the template Henson, and have an index page as the home screen. I want the description text on the indexpage/home screen to sit on two lines instead of one, but hitting enter in the description box under "Index Settings" leaves a giant gap between the two lines. It's especially awkward on mobile. I can hit the space bar several times, but then it looks wonky on extra wide monitors. Is there any way to set a a max width for the description so it stays on two lines? Or anyway to adjust on mobile only? Picture below sh
  18. Site URL: https://www.disabilityinclusiveclimate.org/advisory-panel Hi all, I am preparing a site for an organization, and a major concern is assuring that the site is accessible to those who use screen readers. On our advisory panel page, I am using an image gallery block with circular png files. The names currently of each individual are aligned to the left, and I would like them to be aligned in the center. I've tried embedding some code from answers I found on other forum pages, but it was unsuccessful. I also want to make sure that I am injecting this code in the appropriate

Site URL: https://www.grafish.be/test Website url: https://www.grafish.be/test I would like to see the description under the title when you hover over the image (example title = cyber security, description = magazine). Didn't find it (search and tried already a lot of the forum/internet). Someone who can help me? 20. Site URL: https://www.ahriaorganics.com/shop-all/baby-top-to-toe-cream I am wanting to move the additional info blocks of products on this site to display under the product description/price block (to the right of the image) and not underneath the product info as it currently is. Is this possible? https://www.ahriaorganics.com/shop-all/baby-top-to-toe-cream

  23. Site URL: https://www.iangrieveart.com/ Site URL: https://www.iangrieveart.com/ Hello. I am using Jones Template. On the mobile site, I would like the title and description of images in the galleries to be displayed right away and they are not currently. On my main site all of that info is revealed with hover functions. I have searched and tried many of the custom CSS rules in the forums with no luck. I found one post in which a circle leader stated that "Each site will need different code," so I am making this new post in hope that you can please help. I see the
  24. Site URL: https://www.adammitchinson.co.uk Hi, I need to hide the description under images in gallery pages, using Forte template in version 7.0. I cannot find any way to edit the description field (yet can edit everything else). (Spent most of yesterday online searching!) I need to keep the title, but NOT the description. I'm just using the description for SEO so it just needs to be hidden. Guess I need CSS code (only found some that removes title & description). Any help would be great! Thanks, Adam.
  25. Hello all, I was just wondering whether it is possible to display the product description text in the shop overview page? In my case it would be most useful to display that information inside the shop without having to go to the product detail page. Since that information is already embedded in the product and accessible through 'summary'-blocks I tend to think that somehow this should be possible to do. Unless it is template-related? Thanks!
