  1. Site URL: https://www.ahriaorganics.com/shop-all/baby-top-to-toe-cream I am wanting to move the additional info blocks of products on this site to display under the product description/price block (to the right of the image) and not underneath the product info as it currently is. Is this possible? https://www.ahriaorganics.com/shop-all/baby-top-to-toe-cream
  2. Hello all, I was just wondering whether it is possible to display the product description text in the shop overview page? In my case it would be most useful to display that information inside the shop without having to go to the product detail page. Since that information is already embedded in the product and accessible through 'summary'-blocks I tend to think that somehow this should be possible to do. Unless it is template-related? Thanks! Ziepe
  3. Site URL: https://extensionarts.squarespace.com/shadow-day-new Hi! I'm trying to add a description under the page title from my Store Page: https://extensionarts.squarespace.com/shadow-day-new Please help me. Thank you so much. I appreciate it 🙂
  4. Hi I am using the Indigo template for my new website and do not have a URL yet, I am looking to make the product descriptions, add to cart etc, for each item "sticky" because currently when I am scrolling down the page to look at additional items the whole section just stays at the top. Would really appreciate some help have been looking at this all day and I cant find out how to do it anywhere! I have attached two images, one of the top of the page and then another of a scroll down which shows where the product description is missing. Thank you x
  5. Site URL: https://www.at-y.com/ Can any SEO experts confirm that it's worth writing all the image descriptions for each image in a gallery block? Are these actually getting indexed by google because when I check my Google Console it seems all my image urls are excluded. Just would love confirmation either way before I waste more time describing all of these pictures. Thank you
  6. Site URL: http://www.mcgowanweddings.co.uk Hi, I'm trying to remove the title and description specifically for the banner photos of my homepage. I have code that will remove them successfully, but unfortunately when I apply the code it also removes the titles and descriptions of my testimonials banner further down the page. My website is: www.mcgowanweddings.co.uk The code I'm currently using is: //hide the title and descriptions of photographs in banner on homepage .Index-gallery-item-inner h2 { display: none; } //hide descriptions .Index-gallery-item-inner p { display: none; } So just want to make the above code specific to the first intro heading banner on the homepage. Thanks 🙂
  7. Site URL: https://www.jordan-harmon.com/ Is there a way to move the product description so it’s directly under the title of the product instead of below the add to cart button?
  8. I’m building a website and I’m wanting to add a description underneath my products in the product page and add a button underneath to say ‘click to find out more’ . At the minute it is only letting me display the price and title with no button underneath it. it won’t let me do this - does anyone know how to do this ? It’s such a simple function I’m surprised you can’t do it more easily I’ve attached a photo to show what I mean ( only the title with no description underneath) I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to sort it out ! thanks Charlotte
  9. Howdy. I'm trying to figure out how to add a short description beneath each product block, between the product name & price. So in this screenshot, for example, I want to add a one-line description beneath "Allergy" so this block reads: Allergy Soothes allergies & inflammation $29.99 The only similar built-in option I can find is to list the full description, which would add paragraphs of bloat per product in this grid. I've tried adding a text block underneath, but it doesn't read well / appears disconnected from the products due to spacing. Any suggestions?
  10. Site URL: https://www.suzanneuijterlindephotography.com When sharing the link via messenger or text, the link shows NO seo website description, just the link and the image. When sharing the link on facebook the SEO description shows "slide 1 slide1 (current slide) slide 2 slide 2 (current slide) I've double checked all of the SEO for all the pages, including the main website one. They are all filled in correctly and no where is there anything saying slide? How do I fix this?
  11. So please bear with me as I'm a novice when it comes to CSS or any of this. I've been trying to google answers for the past few hours now to no avail. Essentially I'm just looking to have 1:1 images, with a title and a description, stacked in 2 columns on mobile. A gallery grid does basically what I want on desktop and mobile - but doesn't show descriptions. A summary block does it too but stacks one image on top of another and when I have 60+ images, it becomes a huge scroll. I have not been able to find solutions to either of these issues so if you have a solution to either instead it'd be greatly appreciated. So now, I've just succumbed to doing individual image stacks. I've found out how to shrink the image blocks just in mobile, however I still can't them to form rows/columns despite the extra room now they have on the right (as seen in the screenshot). The code I'm using is below. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Hello all, how i can make Shop Product overview description in one line!? Like in the image below (green line) So if the description is to long it show three dots ... Thanks all. ;)
  13. Site URL: https://www.stephanilewis.com/ Hello, I am building a portfolio webpage and I have run into an issue. I am working in 7.1 with a personal plan and I can't seem to find the code to solve this. I have some landing pages that each have a gallery slideshow with images that link to their individual project pages. I have found code to add a color overlay of the images on hover but I cannot seem to figure out code for hover text. I believe what I want is an option for gallery blocks but those are only available on blog pages. I've attached some screenshots of what I have now and what I am aiming for. This is a site for someone else so I cannot upgrade to a Business Plan. URL: https://www.stephanilewis.com/ Password: newyork11
  14. Site URL: https://www.karenmainenti.com/recent-work In the Momentum template, I like having my initial view be in a gallery grid, so all images can be seen together. But then, when you click into an image, how to custom CSS so that the description shows immediately? Many visitors don't find it intuitive click on the "i" info icon, so I'd like it to expand right away so they don't need to click to see the image description. The only existing alternative I see is to use the initial gallery Info View and then they would have to click the "four squares" icon to see the gallery which also doesn't seem intuitive... thank you!
  15. Site URL: https://fiddle-guitar-2rwb.squarespace.com/config/pages Hello, I’m making a portfolio using the Beaumont theme. My knowledge of making websites is very basic, so please excuse my terminology. I’d like to have just one gallery section (as it is now on the homepage), with no text blocks under images. I’d like to have each image open in a separate window and only then have a short description of the content (project, year etc) written underneath. I enabled the lightbox option, and figured out where to type the image title and image description…but the description doesn’t show in the lightbox, only on the main gallery page. Any suggestions/ideas?
  16. Site URL: https://www.animalproproducts.com/home-test I'm trying to add a logo into the text block of an image collage, but cannot figure out how to do it. Instead of typing out the brand name as seen in the screenshot below (or at https://www.animalproproducts.com/home-test) I would like to display the logo. Is there a way to insert images into a text block? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  17. Is there any way to show the description when I click on a photo? The description shows in the default mode (image A) and it disappears when I click on the photo (image B) * the gallery mode is Grid: Simple
  18. Site URL: https://www.sammillington.com/ Hello, I have my captions enabled in my gallery but i'd also like to be able to add more information about the image by adding a description while the image is open in lightbox, is this possible? Thanks
  19. Site URL: https://www.forbiddenfusion.com/store/p/scented-wax-melts I'm trying to add descriptions to each variant on my inventory, but unsure what coding should be, and where to add. I sell different fragrances of each item, and I'm trying to convert them to variants rather than individual items to simplify. I want to add the scent description at the click of the variant. Any ideas how to accomplish this? I saw where @Beardsman asked before, but I never saw an answer!
  20. Site URL: https://www.cobbledstreetshop.co.uk Hello, I've asked for opinions a few months ago and was just wondering if people could review our website again as we are coming up the first 6 months milestone (only small but something!) and wondered if anything needs updating. Also, if anyone knows how to create a table for information like cookies, privacy notice etc. that would be great 🙂 Thanks!
  21. Site URL: https://eveslaughterart.com/ Hi, I hope someone can help me. My website displays my artwork. On my homepage, I use a gallery block to showcase each piece. Each image opens into a lightbox. On desktop, all you have to do is hover and you can see the description. Which is fine. However, when viewed on a mobile device, in order to see the lightbox description, the viewer has to click on a small unlabeled DOT in the lower right to view the image description. You barely see the dot, and it isn't clear that a viewer needs to click on it. Is there a way to have the image description BELOW the image without the hover/overlap? Or, instead of a "DOT", could this be replaced with "More Info"? I've already reached out to Squarespace Helpdesk, and there isn't a solution. I feel like this is an easy fix with the proper CSS. Is there anyone that may have a solution? Thank you so much!!!
  22. Site URL: http://www.southerncross.me Hi , I hope you are well. I am wondering if Squarespace has a strategy to be carbon neutral . I am thinking of adding a disclaimer to my site about environment and health and stewardship of the earth and wonder if Squarespace is involved in any initiatives ? Best, Malcolm
  23. Site URL: https://www.christopherwilhelmiphoto.com/reptiles-amphibians-insects Hello, In my website I have gallery pages showing photos. When hovering the cursor on top of each photo you will see the title of each photo (which is the name of the animal and the location it was photographed, both in one row). I am trying to have the name of the animal in the first row and the location it was photographed in the second row. I tried having the location as Description instead of Title but it doesn't work. If you take a look at my website (https://www.christopherwilhelmiphoto.com/reptiles-amphibians-insects) you will see what I mean with the first and second photos. If you hover the cursor over the first photo (the yellow frog: name in Title and location in Description) you will only see its name, but if you click on it (and see the slideshow) you will see the location next to its name. In the second photo (green frog: name and location in Title) everything appears in the same row. Can anyone please help me? Thanks! Chris
  24. Site URL: https://www.ryanbowleyphotography.com/italy/venice-the-palazzo-ducale Hi, First, image metadata importing is enabled for my site. I have exported an image from Lightroom Classic 10.2 with both a title and a caption. I then imported that image (the last in the gallery of the page referenced) into a SquareSpace 7.1 Gallery Block. While I have "captions" turned on for this gallery block, no description text for this image shows and the "descriptions" field for the image is blank. The images that do have captions were exported by a previous edition of Lightroom. Am I missing something or is there an error in SquareSpace or Lightroom?
  25. Site URL: http://www.eunhyeisgrace.com/human Site URL: http://www.eunhyeisgrace.com/human Hello, On this Human page, I currently have page description banner above the video. It is actually the default width size of the content block. But because it's too narrow i had to resize to stretch the video. And the code i used is; <style> .sqs-block { margin-left: -700px; margin-right: -700px; margin-top: -100px; margin-bottom: -100px; } </style> BUT the thing is, the width of the page description is still same, only the width of the video size is changed. I would like to reduce the margin on the page description to make the same width of the video . Would really appreciate some help with this.
