  1. Site URL: https://ros-management.com/ Hi, I have observed a huge discrepancy between the Squarespace Analytics and the Google Analytics results. Please see the screenshots below. Since the end of August, I am now using GA to compare with Squarespace. However, this is a massive difference with Squarespace reporting 10x more traffic than GA and I can't figure out why. Can anyone explain this? Which results are likely to be more reliable?
  2. Site URL: https://treeoflifemysteryschool.com I need to verify my website with Google. The website is https://treeoflifemysteryschool.com. This use to take about 5 minutes -- simple adding an HTML file to the site's header. Note that the domain name is registered at GoDaddy. Does Squarespace allow the upload of the Google HTML file -- site-wide? I don't want to go into each page and upload the file. This seems like it ought to be easy. At this point, I'm partly just curious. Thank you. Judy
  3. Site URL: http://www.shaadigifting.co.uk Hi I hope I have tagged all the correct tags I have created a squarespace website for my business and have a few questions I hope can be answered The site in squarespace has been published to the correct domain, but when searching the business name in google the website is showing on like page 15 with the default squarespace url e.g https://pumpkin-shallot-hng3.squarespace.com/shop/hampers The second question is, for a new business how can I get the squarespace website to show when googling the business name? When searching the business name, the Instagram isn’t coming up at all nor is the published squarespace website Google search console has been connected and the site has been indexed. But when searching the company name, the Company House details are coming up only and nothing else. Any help is appreciated
  4. Site URL: https://www.macpierce.com Hello, I’ve had a squarespace website for a long while, and throughout I’ve consistently had the top ranking when searching my name, which is my URL and is across the website. For some reason, in March my website started no longer shows up on google, and only began to appear in results when i used: site:macpierce.com . It appears at top of Bing and DuckDuckGo results, and google search console lists it as appearing just fine. I’ve indexed the site map multiple times, and made sure that my robot.txt doesn’t have anything on it that would remove it from results. I’ve gone through it with squarespace support a total of 4 times now, but they’ve consistently said that it’s an issue on google’s side. I accepted this answer until I started getting submissions through my website’s submissions form, which state that “There are errors in the way your website is coded that are causing your website to not be indexed by google. Please engage our services to help.” I don’t know what to do any longer. My website is the main way that people discover my work, and it’s endlessly frustrating that the main way they usually do so is not working.
  5. Site URL: https://s72businessportraits.com I added my G4 tracking ID into "External API Keys". I have it configured for both UA and G4 so they both collect at the same time. G4 is collecting data and it's logging purchases but it's not registering the value of those purchases. It recognizes the product being purchased, etc it's just not registering the revenue. UA is seeing the same purchases but correctly registering the revenue (as it always has). Why is G4 not properly recognizing revenue? I attached a couple reports showing this. I've contacted SS support who then say its a Google issue and Google says it's a SS issue since they have no insight into their implementation. I agree with Google on this since they can't control if SS has implemented things properly.
  6. Hi, My website is using a scheduling block. How do I get the scheduler to send events to GA4 when someone books an appointment? I have set up the integration with GA4 for both my website and scheduling, following the instructions on Squarespace's support site. I am getting events from scheduling when someone goes directly to the scheduling url (the custom url provided by squarespace scheduling). But if someone visits my website, the embedded scheduler doesn't send any events at all. Has anyone managed to get these events to work when using an embedded scheduler (i.e. scheduling block)? Thanks, Aug
  7. Site URL: https://www.auditionplaybook.com/get-the-playbook/ Hi! I am looking for a way to track the number of clicks on certain outbound links on this page: .auditionplaybook.com/get-the-playbook ... Basically, I am curious to see how many people go to Amazon versus Aerio, etc. I've read that there is a way to inject code to track this via my Google Analytics account but I haven't quite figured it out. Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks in advance!

  9. Looking to find a workaround on how to upload a text file to the root of a Squarespace domain, to regain access to a Google Ads account, which won't be granted until this issue is resolved. Things I've tried already: Adding the txt file onto it's ownpage via the Squarespace pageuploader - but the url looks likethis:(www.example.com/s/google-ads.txt) which they did not accept. An external developer tried a similar workaround by remapping thelink(www.example.com/s/google-ads.txt)to redirect to the url they wouldaccept(www.example.com/google-ads.txt),but they also didn't accept this. Here's the Google Ads support email so you can understand what they're asking for and what they don't want. "We have received your Email with a link of the Text file. On checkingthe same Link we found that, the textfile has been created however, pleasebe advised that it has not beenuploaded correctly in the root of theDomain. On clicking the Link sent byyou, we get an option to download thetext file however it should redirectus to the Text file uploaded in theroot of the Website. We are sharingthe steps, please refer below for thesame: Create a .txt file and save itas: Google-Ads.txt Include thefollowing string of text in this textfile: “GooGXXXXXXXXX". Please addinfo@exampleurl.com to Google Adsaccount XXXXXXXX with Admin access -Date 27--2-2019.” Upload this textfile to the root of each of thedomains from which you're requestingaccess. You’ll append"Google-Ads.txt" to the end of yourURL. For example, if your site URL ishttp://www.example.com, the uploadedfile will look like this:http://www.example.com/Google-Ads.txtOnce you have an email domain thatmatches your company domain or haveappended the “Google-Ads.txt” file toyour website (if you do not have anemail domain that matches yourcompany domain), please reply back tothis email with the informationrequested above."After getting in touch with Squarespace directly to see what we could do, they let me know that it is not possible to upload directly to the root domain using the Squarespace built-in platform. Does anyone have a workaround for this? Really need to regain access to Google Ads.
  10. I am trying to connect a site to AdSense so to get Ads on the homepage on a site. I've been watching a couple Squarespace videos on how to do small customizations on my website via the Custom CSS section and I type in the code exactly and it constantly gives me the Syntax Error on Line 1. Not sure what I'm doing wrong? Here's the code I was trying out... <script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-1715047857096502" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
  11. Site URL: https://kinase.co.uk/ Hey everyone, I am interested in adding a data layer to the site so that I can better track the events I have set up in google tag manager. Has anyone done this or know how I can do it? Thank you
  12. Site URL: https://www.relativelygenealogy.com/ I have a new site and was trying to figure out why it's not being indexed properly. I submitted a sitemap on April 23. My pages weren't getting indexed so I had some of the pages manually indexed. Google search console has a message for most of my pages saying that they are indexed but not in the sitemap. If I do a search site:relativelygenealogy.com only 2 pages appear to be indexed. Any suggestions?
  13. Site URL: https://www.eventplanningtemplates.co Hi All I am wondering if anyone knows a work-around to enable Google Ads Enhanced Conversion to work with the Squarespace order confirmation page? Currently, the standard page shows the product purchased and customer email. That is not enough information for google ads 'enhanced conversions'... the full information required is show in the code: <script> var enhanced_conversion_data = { "email": 'customer_email', "phone_number": 'customer_phone', "first_name": 'customer_first_name', "last_name": 'customer_last_name', "home_address": { "street": 'street_address', "city":'city', "region": 'country_code', "postal_code": 'customer_zip', "country": 'customer_country' } }; </script> I've been chatting with Google Ads techs and they don't know, and Squarespace Help Desk says it's not possible. Does anyone know how to make Squarespace transactions work with this? Or is it just not possible? Thanks Rachella
  14. I recently integrated my Squarespace site with Google Analytics, but it looks like it's pulling data from my Squarespace preview URL in the backend of Squarespace, not my live site URL. I know this because every time I visit my site in my Squarespace account and return to the google console, it shows a new user in the last 30 minutes from the exact city I'm in. Did I set it up incorrectly?
  15. Site URL: https://generatevalley.com/ Hi, I hope you are all doing great. I have developed a website. It was running smoothly and slowly as it is a newbie. It was showing 400, 500 plus impressions and some clicks as well. But in last 12 to 15 days, I feel Google Analytics and Google Search Console is not working properly. Google Analytics shows that there are some user on website but on next day when I check on Google Search Console, it shows no traffic only 7,8 impressions. Before this I was uploading content regularly. I assume my content is fine as I am writing it myself brainstorm the related keywords and using the properly. I don't know why I am facing this issue. Can someone please guide me what is this main issue? Thank you.

The instructions Google gives is to add these codes to directly to the HTML. Obviously we don't have access to some of these things. Any tips on adding them to the website? Thanks!
  17. Hi there, Does anyone know of a way to capture clicks/listens to an audio block? Is there a capability within Squarespace for this? I know there isn't for podcast tracking but I'm wondering if a capture for just a regular audio block is possible. Thank you!
  18. Site URL: https://www.speedysearch.ca/ Hi, getting the below error on 86 product pages and I can't figure out why it would be happening. Ive read over the robots.txt file and nothing about product pages are in there. The site has had its sitemap regenerated and has been reindexed and recrawled. Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  20. Site URL: https://www.sanddunesunsets.com/ Hi guys, I'm trying to set up goals into Google Analytics to track various funnels of my store's checkout flow. However I can' seem to find Squarespace's general funnel URLs to track the general checkout flow. Shopify provides the following URL's to input into Google Analytics: Step Name Screen/Page 1. Viewed product /products/shoes 2. Added product to cart /cart 3. Added address /checkout/contact_information 4. Added shipping info /checkout/shipping 5. Added payment info /checkout/payment Does anyone know what Squarespace's general checkout funnel URL's are? Thank you! Fiona
  21. Site URL: https://www.bondprosper.com/ Hi Everyone, Any news on when Squarespace will work with Googles new Analytics 4? Cheers
  22. I recently created a Google Tag Manager variable for my client's website that is successfully firing. (It helps identify which client account is logged in and navigating the site without revealing any personal information.) I would like to surface that variable as a parameter for GA4's standard "page_view" event, but I can't figure out how. Has anyone had luck with this? I can create a whole new event via GTM solely to surface the variable, but I would rather pass it as a parameter inside "page_view". I have been trying to figure out a way to identify the variable in the "New value" field, but it doesn't seem to work. Suggestions that don't involve creating an event solely for the variable?
  23. Site URL: http://www.shortnoticecreative.com Hello! I have recently ran a GoogleAds campaign for my site. Do I need to have a premium membership to squarespace to add the tracking tag in the site code? or is there a different way?
  24. Site URL: https://www.thewholealchemist.com Hi all, First post here. I've been having trouble understanding how Google searches for my site name when typing in just the site words separated by spaces as opposed the the actual URL. Typing in site:Https://www.thewholealchemist.com returns pages as indexed by Google so I know something is working but I don't know what I'm missing. Is it purely SEO management that is lacking to rank my site or something else? Still learning about SEO best practices and a long way off getting better ranking but would really appreciate your guys insights. Cheers.
  25. I have 2 domain names on my site - https://ligocreative.com is the new one, https://lilanigoonesena.com is the old one. Both URLs will remain as I slowly transition my business to the new one. But when I go to create a new property for https://ligocreative.com on Google Analytics, it asks me to put the Google Tag Manager code into the External API Keys but the old one is there. Do I replace it? Leave it? Use both? I want GA to track both URLs, is that possible? Thanks
