  1. I've linked to a blog post by @dualarrowmarketing which details how to make the navigation bar fixed on scroll. https://insidethesquare.co/squarespace-tutorials/fixed-header-drop-shadow-squarespace-css
  2. Are you able to share a link to your website or could you let us know which template you are using. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005308187-What-s-my-site-s-template-and-version-
  3. If you purchased it with the same account then it should automatically be link. May I ask what domain you purchased so I can see if it has been set-up? Regarding the one 'temporary' one, this is not temporary and is the URL you will use when you log into your website and make changes. Your users won't see or be directed to this URL but you will edit your website using this url. For example my website is thompsonweb.design but my builtin Squarespace URL that I edit my website on is thompsonwebdesign.squarespace.com. I have linked to a support document that explains the builtin domains and how they work, along with how you can change it. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206541717
  4. It should only display if you have a product page on your website. If you find where the product page is and delete it the cart icon should go away. Failing that copy the below into your websites CSS. .custom-cart {display:none!important} .header-special .social-search-wrapper.cart-visible {border-right:none!important}
  5. From what I can see I don't think that's supported in 7.1.
  6. Hi @HeatherNicle86, I've had a look at your website and the pop-up doesn't display for me and I'm on a desktop. Looking at your code injector the code that you've put in for the pop-up looks different to the one that MailChimp generated for me. Below is what my code looks like. <script type="text/javascript" src="//downloads.mailchimp.com/js/signup-forms/popup/unique-methods/embed.js" data-dojo-config="usePlainJson: true, isDebug: false"></script> <script type="text/javascript">window.dojoRequire(["mojo/signup-forms/Loader"], function(L) { L.start({"baseUrl":"mc.us5.list-manage.com","uuid":"0ab7f2f7bb8b8b103161aa0c8","lid":"fb87982c54","uniqueMethods":true}) })</script>
  7. Are you referring to the additional information section? https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206541037-Adding-additional-information-to-products
  8. Absolutely, I have linked to a support document about creating anchor links below. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/207135178-Creating-anchor-links
  9. Regarding the header background colour I’ve linked to the below support document which explains how the colour is set. If you’re using a transparent header then the scroll colour is set by the first sections colour pallet. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028367571#toc-background
  10. It is unnecessary for 99.99% of people. Unless you want to do something complex then you shouldn't really touch it. In addition you will only receive system wide updates and not template specific updates, you will also be responsible for maintaining your template. If something goes wrong or you need help then Squarespace won't be able to provide support. Changing the some links and font isn't something you need developer mode for. I would take a look at the below support document on making style changes to your website. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815788-Making-style-changes Even if you find yourself needing to make changes with CSS or Javascript you can do so without entering developer mode. You can use your sites global CSS and code injector areas. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815928-Adding-custom-HTML-CSS-and-JavaScript
  11. Hi there, you won’t be able to view your websites code, that’s not really how Squarespace works. You can really only access your websites code if you use Developer mode which I wouldn’t recommend doing. I have linked to a support document which should help you identify your template. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005308187-What-s-my-site-s-template-and-version-
  12. Hi there, I think in general your website has a very good flow and is clearly presented. The only feedback that I really have is: You homepage doesn't say what you do, with the first image you showed I thought that maybe you were an electoral advisor of some sort or worked in politics. Maybe something simple like a tag line under your logo or even just some text under or over the images. Have you considered putting your demo reel on your homepage instead and have it auto play? I feel like that would say what you do more then the current images do. That leads me onto my next one, I would also consider putting Reel within the Work folder. It would just help clean up the navigation menu and create a more concise feel to your website as it seems almost out of place. Now I don't fully know your background or what is most important for your line of work so having your Reel separate may be beneficial to you, but again I would consider setting it up on your homepage. In your Photography and Fine Art pages there are no captions or descriptions to go along with the images which is present with the example on the Motion page. The images speak for themselves but it would be nice to know a little bit more about them. But great work!
  13. Which template are you using, also are you able to share a link to your website so we can take a look for you?
  14. Try entering the below into your websites CSS, just remember to adjust the font size to your desired size. .main-nav .folder li a {font-size:9px!important}
  15. Are you using a template with AJAX enabled? If so try disabling it and seeing if it works. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000253288-Ajax-loading
  16. Also consider with the current set-up you have at the moment will redirect anyone who presses the add to cart button. This means that if someone clicks the add to cart button and a product is out of stock that they will still be redirected to the cart page.
  17. Drip campaigns are definitely possible, you just need to create an automation, select the trigger and then when you would like it to send. The only real limit is that you can only send them up to 60 days after the trigger is activated. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002077567#toc-connect-and-schedule-automations
  18. The maximum file size that you may upload to Squarespace is 20MB. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205813928-Uploading-and-managing-files For more general limitations, every platform has them. Wix for example doesn't really provide responsive templates which can hurt your SEO as Google factors mobile usability of your website into its ranking. A good place to start is to look at the pricing page on the Squarespace website which broadly lists out what Squarespace can do. https://www.squarespace.com/pricing Please let me know if you have more specific requirements that you are looking for in a website platform and I can tell you if Squarespace is the right choice or not.
  19. Okay, you are referring to the summary block limit and not the gallery page limit. They gallery page itself can hold 250 images but summary blocks can only display 30 images at a time. There's no reason you couldn't just put two summary block one after another. You would just need to tag the images accordingly and pull in the relevant tags to their respective summary blocks so you don't have images repeating.
  20. Are you referring to the limit with the Summary Block as Gallery pages should be able to hold 250 photos? If it is the Summary Block limitation that you are referring to then I would recommend looking at the plugin by @michaeleparkour which will help you get over this limitation. https://www.squarewebsites.org/products/lazy-summaries
  21. It looks like they're using the Wells template not the Supply template. https://wells-demo.squarespace.com
  22. You will need to be on the Advance Commerce plan and have Abandoned Cart Recovery enabled. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/207294117-Abandoned-Cart-Recovery
  23. Looking at it from a pure commerce stand point and what I consider to be one of the most flexible template on Squarespace I would choose Brine. https://www.squarespace.com/templates/brine You're probably looking at the Brine template thinking that you pickled vegetables don't really fit in with photography but there are many different templates within the Brine family. I have linked to a support document explaining the Brine template family and a list of the different templates within the Brine family. Hopefully they can give you some inspiration and an idea of what can be achieved on the Brine template. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/212512738-Brine-template-family#toc-templates-in-the-brine-family Do you have a current website or vision of how you would like to your website to look/flow?
  24. So from the screenshot it looks like you're using version 7.1 of Squarespace and unfortunately you can't switch templates with version 7.1. If you would like to switch to a version 7.0 template then you will need to start a new trail. I have linked to a support document below which should help explain which template is in which version of Squarespace. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005308187
