  1. My font scales down in size when I reach a certain browser pixel size (roughly over 2000px wide). How do I stop this!? You can see in the attachments where the correct screenshot has the heading text set to 8.1rem and paragraph set to 1.2 rem but then all of a sudden in the incorrect screenshot it scales down? Help! Is there some custom code I can add to make sure my font never scales down?
  2. I am having trouble adding font to sections where it is not necessarily allowed. Is there a code I can find for this? I have had to add font to the section above for it to be able to be a matching "header" on the section below. I cannot create a header in the same section in the section I want as I believe the section is a menu. If I add a header(title), it is small and I can't adjust the font. See photo.
  3. I'm updating my website and VERY new to code. I have my practice areas listed in an image card on the first page of my website (or at least I think that's what this area would be called but to be honest, I'm not entirely sure). Anyway, I want to be able to change the title font on the different practice areas in the image card. I've tried a few things to no avail. Could anyone please help me with the code for this? My website is carolpeakeattorney.com and the various practice areas are listed on the 1st page of my website. Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi there, I have made my fonts custom for majority of my store, but I can't seem to find the code to fix the "Size", "Quantity" and "Price" to be the same font. The custom font is labelled at Evgoria Any Clue? (Password is HELPPLZ)
  5. Hi, I've uploaded a font from my computer and for me everything it's okei, it works. But my client, in her laptop, doesn't see the new font. What's worng? This is the code I'm using, thanks! @font-face { font-family: 'Simula'; src: url('FontURLhttps://static1.squarespace.com/static/63bee4b2762f11070ab07a68/t/63bee54f62a29d3e4b327466/1673454927235/Sharp+Type+-+Simula+Book.otf'); } h1 {font-family: 'Simula';} h2 {font-family: 'Simula';} h3 {font-family: 'Simula';} h4 {font-family: 'Simula';} h5 {font-family: 'Simula';} h6 {font-family: 'Simula';} p {font-family: 'Simula';}
  6. Site URL: https://www.brandivanderwolfphotography.ca/home I have a custom font on my website "Jonathan" . Previously it worked fine on all platforms up until a month ago, when it stopped getting viewed as a script font on Safari and iOS (as far as I can tell) and just shows as a Serif font. Nothing had changed in my CSS. It still views fine on Chrome. Current CSS: font-face { font-family: ‘Jonathan’; src: url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/612805b13766f76daeb68027/t/61a8f67ff8c4752974f59c16/1638463103868/Jonathan.otf'); src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/612805b13766f76daeb68027/t/62c36a9f6b8df8606be4ec2e/1656973986230/Jonathan.ttf) } h3 { font-family: 'jonathan'; font-weight: 540; font-style: normal; font-size: 45px; letter-spacing: 0.1em; text-transform: normal; line-height: 1.3em; } Thank you for any help!
  7. Site URL: https://robin-khaki-7l6n.squarespace.com/test-styles-page I've been trying to add a Google font (that is not available on the list of available SquareSpace fonts) using the following CSS: @import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Barlow:wght@100&display=swap'); @font-face {font-family: 'Barlow', sans-serif;} p {font-family:'Barlow'; font-weight: 100;} While I'm in the midst of editing the custom CSS, the fonts on the page display properly. However, after I save the CSS and navigate to a different page, all the fonts change to a random font (and not even a sans-serif font!). Furthermore, when I inspect the code, it says that the font displayed is Barlow (see screen shot) Then the weirdest thing: when I navigate back to the Custom CSS area, the fonts change back to the "Barlow" font specified in the CSS. Without me making any changes! Just by navigating to that screen. Can anyone help?
  8. Site URL: https://www.biofabricate.co/about Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help with a bit of custom CSS - I want to change the font style in my accordion description from paragraph to heading. At the moment the only choice is paragraph styles! Thanks 🙂
  9. I have uploaded one of my brand fonts to SquareSpace using SquareSpace's instructions. At first it looks fine but then it starts adding kk instead of specific characters, such as apostrophes. If I go back into "Custom CSS," it will look how it should at first and then a few minutes later it goes back to the kk characters. Does anyone know what the issue could be? My website is sarahstarrs.com (Screenshots attached to show what I mean)
  10. Site URL: https://www.pennyvozniak.com/ Hello everyone, I added Arial Narrow and Vendor fonts in the custom CSS panel. Looks like this: @font-face { font-family: 'vendor'; src: url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5fcc32ac190b057dd3728887/t/5fcdd4a35d2e6f3bda5e7454/1607324836889/font.woff'); } h1 {font-family: 'ArialNarrow';} h2 {font-family: 'Vendor';} h3 {font-family: 'ArialNarrow';} h4 {font-family: 'ArialNarrow';} p {font-family: 'ArialNarrow';} The design is correct on the desktop version, but on my phone and iPad the font for the body text is not Arial Narrow, it's another serif font that I didn't select. However, Vendor came across fine on the mobile site. Strange... Any ideas how I can fix this so that the body text (Arial Narrow) is the same across all screens? Also, I would like the text underneath the gallery images to be Arial Narrow, but I can't seem to change that font at all. Any advice for this too would be fab. Thank you! Penny
  11. I'm having a problem with my fonts scaling properly and I can't figure out what's going on. This is a SS 7.1 site. I have my base font size set to 14px (that was the default). I set my H1 size to 3.6rem in the Site Styles (equivalent is 50.4px when I view in the inspector) I set my p2 size to 1.35rem (equivalent is 18.9px when I view in the inspector). These sizes display correctly when my browser window is set above 1620px wide, but when I size the window smaller than that, the font sizes get much BIGGER, which seems counter-intuitive, and not at all how I want them to appear. I want them to be the same. I can see these parameters in the CSS, but I don't know how the formula works. Can anyone help me? I want the fonts to be the same scale for all laptop and desktop resolutions. @media screen and (min-width: 0px) and (max-width: calc(1619px)) and (orientation: landscape) h1 { font-size: calc((3.6 - 1) * 1.2vw + 1rem); } @media screen and (min-width: 1620px) h1 { font-size: calc(3.6 * 1rem); } The second value (for the 1620px width) is the one I want for all. I wish I didn't have to do this as custom CSS, I feel like this should work better as the default. Is there something I've missed in the Site Styles tools? Thank you!
  12. Lets chat about this. I used to think squarespace was the bomb for someone who has no idea how to code. Granted I still don't know how to code but I wanted to make some changes to my website that I had someone built professionally a couple years ago. How can a company that charges over $200+ per year not have simplistic editing tools. While trying to make functionality a top priority to keep things seamless they have completely deterred that average client that wants to tackle designing a website outside of what's recommended. I can't change a simple font size for one text block without going through customer service, a coding crash course, and 4 hours of frustration. I mean what I can get done in Canva in literally 5 seconds cant be done without the things listed above. That is very frustrating. So anyone on here if you can help me that would be incredible because squarespace doesn't seem to care lol. When I adjust the font of one text block it effects every text block on my website with that exact same font. I don't know who in squarespace thought that was an effective tool, but here we are. Please tell me I am wrong on this and I am just an idiot. What is the work around instead of coding every single text block that I want to add?
  13. I am using css to target specific text blocks on certain pages to change the h1 font to something different. It shows up fine on my desktop, but not on mobile or for any one else who views the site. Please advise! Code is shown below: #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1670528077206_1012967 h1 {font-family: 'ImaginaryFriend BB'!important} How it shows on desktop (for me): How it shows for everyone else (and for me on mobile):
  14. I added two custom fonts into my page with the code below, and they're applying just fine when I add text to pages, but they aren't changing the font of my site navigation links. If I go into Global Text Styles and try to apply the font style to the whole site, the custom fonts I added don't show up in the list. Is there something obvious I'm missing? I'm a novice coder so I've been leaning on internet suggestions - thank you in advance! // CUSTOM FONT @font-face { font-family: 'lekycalgria'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/63b5147e4d25e62b0d2f2c98/t/63d81e5c41c71762b269681d/1675107933000/LekyCalgriaPersonalUse-ywJRd.ttf); } @font-face { font-family: 'histeagin'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/63b5147e4d25e62b0d2f2c98/t/63d8235c0f1c8b11d2f7ff45/1675109212292/histeagin.ttf); } h1 { font-family: 'lekycalgria';} h2 { font-family: 'histeagin';} h3 { font-family: 'histeagin';} h4 { font-family: 'histeagin';} .sqsrte-large { font-family: 'histeagin';} p { font-family: 'histeagin';} .sqsrte-small { font-family: 'histeagin';} **note - I know some of the fonts are redundantly applied, just trying to iron this issue out before I change more!
  15. Hi all, Is it possible for me to change the font and font colours on the website template I've chosen? Thank you Karli
  16. Site URL: https://www.brightzine.co/news/2021/5/19/london-vegan-restaurants-we-cant-wait-to-return-to-or-try-for-the-first-time Hi I tried some CSS I found on here but it didn't work and I need some help. I'm trying to change the title and subtitle font on the image cards on my blog posts to Helvetica. https://www.brightzine.co/news/2021/5/19/london-vegan-restaurants-we-cant-wait-to-return-to-or-try-for-the-first-time Much appreciated!
  17. I've added the below code, however on this page, it seems to be stick on 500 weight font? h1 strong, h2 strong, h3 strong, h4 strong, .list-section-title strong { font-family: @heading !important; font-weight: 400 !important; } // LESS BOLD, BOLD FONTS ➷ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ // strong { font-weight: 400 !important; }
  18. I just wanted to know how you can change the font and/or edit the style of the entire drop down options for products.
  19. Hey Everyone, thanks for your assistance. I have been trying to modify the font color under the accordion dropdown at the bottom of my site (FAQ section). Is there a way to utilize a different Content Font rather than the preset "Body Text"? To specify the color seems like it should not be that difficult yet I cannot figure it out. Thanks again in advance.
  20. Hi Folks, I cannot find how to apply a specific font (directly from custom CSS) for two particular titles of my e commerce: Product main titles Categories navigation I've succeeded to apply the font I have on every other headers, paragraph, button ect but not these two last one. Let me know if you have the solution :)
  21. Hello 🙂 I host my website in Europe and Google fonts are now a problem. I am now hosting all fonts locally, but whenever I check my site, one google font still seems to be used. Problem: I can't find it and I don't know where I use it (and therefore can't change it) Is there a way to find it? My site: lovemoves.de and the font family that is hiding somewhere: Josefin Sans Thank you a lot for your help, Sharon
  22. I have used this code to adjust font size on mobile blog headings. However it seems to keep the old line spacing? how to get rid of it?
  23. Hiya, I've just made my new website live and shared it on FB but when you open the link from FB on some phone browsers the font doesn't resize properly, but if you view straight through a browser on a phone it's fine. Any ideas on what that could be/how I could fix that? Thank you! https://www.jadeeleanor.com (but it's fine when you click from here on a phone... I think)
  24. Hi, I am having an issue on my site where the incorrect font is showing for characters with macrons, for example in the word "pōhutukawa" on this page. I found a previous post with the same issue that was resolved by adding customs CSS, however I am unsure how to adjust this to get it working with the Orpheus Pro font used on my site. Site: thirdroom.co.nz Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
