  1. I just built my first site using Printique to sell photo prints (print-on-demand). It would make sense to shop by Categories of "print type" (ie. metal, acrylic, canvas, etc...). The problem I'm having is the way Printique imports, its structure is: Product > Print Variant > Size Variant; so assigning categories or tags to the product will assign it to all print types. What I'm wanting to do is just filter products by Product + print type variant. Is there a way to do this?
  2. Site URL: http://goldfish-hen-3m8r.squarespace.com I am using the universal filter plug in and would like my filter button on mobile to stay above the results and stick upon scrolling down so customers know it is always an option. I have tried: .cf-filter-wrapper .mobile-filter-trigger { position: -webkit-sticky; position: sticky; top: 10px } But that means the filter button disappears behind products and cannot be selected. Would be so grateful if someone could assist. I included a screenshot of the behavior with the appended code below. Please access the site with the code: WINE9
  3. Site URL: https://pte.squarespace.com/ourwork Hey! I am having trouble figuring out a way to change the color of the filter buttons depending on what the user selects. For Example, when they select the "Work" page, the user can see "All" of the work. I'd like to have the "All" button highlighted as white (as the default) until they click on "Client Projects" or "In-House Projects." Then when the filtered work is loaded on the page the selected button will stay white to tell the user what type of work they are viewing. Thanks in advance!
  4. Site URL: https://squid-poodle-dnew.squarespace.com/events I have been using some custom code to add filters to a site I am working on (the code is for the plugin 'universal filters'). The filter on the store page was working fine for the last 3-4 weeks whilst I was building the site until yesterday, but suddenly it stopped working. I have another filter on the home page of the site using effectively the same code, just with different options selected, and that is still working fine. I presume this is related, but I have also started to see errors in the store page. The store has changed to be a blog according to the menus, although it sometimes appears as a store still and sometimes as a blog. I also can't save the menu that appears when you click on the cog for the store page. Obviously my first thought was to remove the code to see if it made any difference, but I cannot remove the code as I cannot save anything in that window. I click the save link but nothing happens. I spoke to squareSpace support and they said to take all the custom code out and see if that fixed it. They seemed to be able to remove the code, as it was removed when I was on the live chat, but as part of testing I added it back in and now I can't remove it again. I am not sure if this is actually related to the code though to be honest, as even when customer support removed the code the issues persisted. I have noticed that there seems to be an updated version of the product pages in my account and I am wondering if it is some kind of bug related to this. Is anyone else seeing anything similar or does anyone know how I can resolve it? The site is here https://squid-poodle-dnew.squarespace.com/ and the store page is here https://squid-poodle-dnew.squarespace.com/events
  5. Site URL: https://tympanus.net/codrops/2019/03/12/image-distortion-effects-with-svg-filters/ How do I add this svg hover filter into Squarespace Portfolio Hover? https://tympanus.net/codrops/2019/03/12/image-distortion-effects-with-svg-filters/
  6. Hi, I'm new to Squarespace, and trying to understand where to limit my expectations. I have a requirement to display a series of events, by date, event name, and cost. I would like to be able to implement filters/sorts to enable control of the records displayed due to the volume of events over a calendar month (up to 100). I'd also like to be able to toggle the detail of events on and off depending on what the user clicks on. If I were doing this in WP I would use a calendar plug in to show what dates there are events, and highlight dates where I've booked an event. The attached may help you visualise the end result. Is any of this possible in Squarespace with CSS? Many thanks in advance for your help!
  7. Site URL: https://hyperboloid-sepia-jx6h.squarespace.com/config/pages Hey So I am making a comprehensive list of Medical Schools in the US as a tool for members of a honor society I am president of. Essentially I want to give them the opportunity to either enter in/select from a drop box a series of inormation and have the list of med schools filter itself to only show options fitting said criteria. (Information student will/can enter examples: State, Tuition, GPA, MCAT, etc.) Thanks so much for any help!
  8. Site URL: https://corn-apricot-zn88.squarespace.com/bassettiportfolio I have made my universal filter stick, but it shifts up slightly when you scroll down. Thoughts? I used this code. I had issues initially because the gallery wanted to scroll under the filter so you could see a sliver above it, so I played with the "top" position. Is there a way to make it not shift when it scrolls? I tried removing padding on the summery block and filter container. ALSO - I cannot seem to get rid of the small grey line above the text. I have all borders set to 0. Code I used is: /*universal filter*/ /*position sticky*/ body .custom-filter-container, .custom-filter-parent-node { overflow: visible; position: absolute; } .customFiltersWrapper { position: sticky!important; top: 170px; margin-bottom: 0vh; } #yui_3_17_2_1_1630531262614_676, #yui_3_17_2_1_1630530276084_720, #yui_3_17_2_1_1630531152613_1010 { margin-top: 0vh; padding: 0!important;} #block-6708d6bafe3faea67f02, #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1590076520498_4551, #block-206175b0d9ba3902e4c7 {padding-top: 0!important;} Thanks!
  9. Hello I love the Gramercy image filter, it's the best. But it just takes a lot of time to apply it one by one to every image on the website. Is there a way to know its settings? Like saturation 50%, exposure +1 etc so that we can recreate it in a software like Photoshop or Lightroom and apply this effect to multiple images with a single click? Thanks.
  10. Site URL: https://jordanforge.art/ Hello! I am converting my old site above to a 7.1 version and am hoping to add a multi-field filter to my overall library of paintings. I understand the Categories and Tags features built into Blogs, Shops, and Events, and how those are not applicable to Portfolio type pages. These seem like clunky workarounds to what I'm after, which should be a slightly more advanced version of the Archive page feature combined your run-of-the-mill gallery page. I am hoping to simply have a page of all my paintings where I can assign a few metadata fields to each, then a ribbon at the top of the page allowing viewers to drill down by fields such as size, year complete, subject matter, and color. Heather Day has achieved something like this on her page, screenshotted below. I am reluctant to pay $70 for Universal Filter without knowing if it can achieve what I'm after; but if that is the only solution, short of SquareSpace improving their functionality, then so be it. Extra points if it's possible to link directly to a pre-filtered directory!
  11. Site URL: https://bell-rust-j6b5.squarespace.com Trying to cobble together a simple portfolio site for architects where you can filter each project by a category; ie. Residential, Commercial, Public etc. I was going to purchase a filter plug in, but it appears portfolio pages don't have the option to assign a category to a page. Is my only option to create these pages as a Blog? Visual attached of what I'm trying to achieve. Thanks!
  12. Site URL: https://www.davebella.com.au/shopall Hi people, Site URL: https://www.davebella.com.au/shopall I recently purchased Universal Filter from SQUAREWEBSITES and injected the code on my site but it doesn't seem to be working or appearing at all. I want the sort by and filtering function on the shop page to work but i'm struggling to see what the problem is. it could be the container targeting that was inaccurate but please, if anyone could help me inject this on to my site, that would be of great help. Thanks <script> window.customFilterSettings = { 'targets': [{ container: 'content', //css selector to target container where you want to place filter items: 'list-grid', //css selector for items you want to filter settings: { position: 'top',//set the position for filter to appear. 13. Site URL: https://daffodil-clementine-36hx.squarespace.com/config/pages I am building a site for a boat brokerage. Needless to say they have many products (listings) with multiple category options. I am wanting a simple way to navigate the within the product gallery. I have hunted high and low to find a way to filter/sort these listings in a way that is generic across the site in the sense that the same categories can be applied no matter what product. I have 5 product galleries. 1.Yacht 2.Power 3.Multihull 4.Trailer Boats - within each product type i'd like to display the sort options as a dropdown where the user then selects how they would like to view the products within the gallery. I was reading a thread earlier which suggested using an Archive block as a way to display a "shop sort". I had a play around with this and i think this is actually a viable option. The question is this.... How do I get the categories to action as per my category titles suggest they will. - sort by lowest price - sort by highest price - sort by type Here is an example of a dropdown shop sort on a similar type of site to the one I am currently building https://www.busfieldmarine.co.nz/shop/New+Boats.html Can anyone shed any light on this please? I am also open to other suggestions - I have looked into a universal filter and a mega menu - i not written these off instead i am still exploring options - the archive block made a lot of sense and relatively simple if I can get it to function accordingly. Help would be very much appreciated please!
  14. Site URL: https://corn-apricot-zn88.squarespace.com/portfolio-test I have posted on the Uni filter slack site a few times, but no response. I have it set on a portfolio page where I can pull tags from the SEO. I labeled the tags in the SEO description as Tags: high school, middle school, but all that shows is the word All in the dropdown. The developer said it works, but I must be typing something incorrectly! no password on site
  15. I have managed to create a responsive filter for the images in my gallery. On filtering the images and then opening them in lightbox, the full array of images are displayed when cycling through. Is it possible once the filter is applied and then lightbox opened to display only the filtered images as it defeats the purpose of the filter in the first place if all the images are displayed and not just the filtered ones
  16. Site URL: https://www.kabana925.com Hi, I'm wondering how I reduce the padding above the sort/filter on the mobile view. Attached are some screenshots displaying the issue. Thanks! -Toviah Password: silveristhenewgold21
  17. Site URL: https://mandolin-green-86sj.squarespace.com/config/pages Hi, Can someone help me adjust the mobile padding-- there's a massive gap between the top of the screen and the first product. Thanks!
  18. Site URL: https://www.collective131.com/paintings Hi! Is there code to separate categories and headings in the list on shop pages? Like by Size, Maker, Object, etc.? I want it to look something like this (pic attached) Thank you!!
  19. Site URL: https://momentfactory.com/work/destinations/cultural-educational Hi Guys, is it possible to create a similar page behaviour? Where you click on the filter ex. cultural education in order to see only that kind of project? https://momentfactory.com/work/destinations/cultural-educational Another Example is this: https://www.callbruno.com/en/projects Thank you all, Dario
  20. name: "Design", allowedOptions: "Slender, Weighty, Classic, Premium", hideValueLabel: true, capitalcase: true, multiple: true, sort: 'asAllowed', getAttr: 'tags' Hello everyone, I am using the awesome Universal Filter provided by Squarewebsites and it works fantastically. However, I just need to make a slight tweak. Is there a way to have one of the options already active on a page load? Just as an example, is it possible to have the 'Slender tag' already selected with the summary block already displaying the results.
  21. Hi there, This may be a really stupid question, but I have a site on the indigo template and want on the products page to have a "Sort by price" filter on the page - is this possible? I can't work out where to have this I've just checked in with the support team and there isn't an option for this - has anyone used custom code to do this? Many thanks
  22. Site URL: https://xn--ernringsrdgiver-plbk.no/oppskrifter/category/middag Hi, I've creating a blog category filter, but when using the filter a white/empty field shows up above the footer. I suppose this issue might be solved when more blog posts are added, but a fix for now would be great. Any help is highly appreciated! Password is baretesterlitt
  23. Site URL: https://www.rando.report/all-the-stuff Hello, I'm using Universal Filter Plugin to create filters for the various blog subjects. It's working well. It's set to multiples, so you can click more than one. The ones selected are in a different color. Click again, they go back to the regular color. On mobile, they show up as a menu overlay that slides out from the left. But I'm having two issues. 1) for some reason, the last button always ends up slightly out of alignment on the pop out mobile menu. Attaching screenshot. 2) The multiple selection seems kind of wonky on mobile. It actually works right when I'm in the squarespace editor in mobile view. But when I use it on my phone, the buttons don't seem to work quite right when more than one is selected. Sometimes it works. Sometimes I click an additional filter button and it doesn't activate the button. Then I click another and the previous one activates. It's kind of just always a little off and wonky, but not in a really consistent way. And it's weird that it works in the squarespace editor on the mobile view, but not on my actual phone. If anyone might be able to help with these two things I'd be really grateful. The misalignment in the attached screenshot it just making me crazy for some reason. Thanks to anyone that might be able to help. @tuanphan -daria
  24. Site URL: https://www.phlaff.org/festival/2021/film-guide Hi everyone, Is there a way to give users the option of 'resetting' the 'filter' when searching blog posts through tags in an archive block drop down? Right now, the page reloads with the selected posts with the following language: "Posts tagged xyz" Is there a way to 1) change this text, 2) add a 'reset' link so viewers can get back to unfiltered blog posts without using browser navigation, and 3) reduce the amount of space between the archive block and the "Posts tagged" line and the blog posts themselves? See screenshot for example. Thank you for your expertise!
  25. Hello I am working on a project page for a design firm in 7.1 The PLAN was to make a project gallery and then use the Universal Filter (https://www.squarewebsites.org/products/universal-filter) to filter projects by type/service/etc... and do so via TAGS and CATEGORIES The user would filter, then clock on the image and then it would link to a project page. An example is here (https://corn-apricot-zn88.squarespace.com/gallery). If you click on the first image (fire station) you see what we want visually. But we NEED them to filter! Now I see that the only place to add tags is in BLOG posts, not in portfolio/gallery pages or gallery block (I have re-added the gallery block to our 7.1) We do not want all the info with the blogs showing in either the summary or project page, we just want photos with a rollover. The Filters says "Universal Filter plugin works with any Squarespace List Collections: Blog, Products, Gallery, Events, Album or Custom Post Types. Also, it works with Blocks which capable to show List Collections: Summary Block, Gallery Block. Some templates has Index of Galleries structure - this also may be used with Filter." But I cannot see where to add categories/tags in anything except blog posts to make this work. Is there a way to add TAGS to the portfolio or gallery blocks? Or is there a workaround with make the summary blog block work without all the text? Thanks
