  1. Site URL: https://vintanthromodern.com Hello! I recently installed the Universal Filter onto my site to sort items by price/size/material/color/era. The code is installed on all of my shop pages. I first noticed an issue with the site loading last week, but it is still happening. When I load a shop page, the original product categories show and I have to manually refresh the page for the Filter to appear -- it does a weird thing where my products all overlap then look normal... Any idea what's happening?
  2. Site URL: https://www.crysp.co.uk/blog Hi there, I'm currently working on a website with a lot of blog posts. Rather than have users scroll through them all chronologically, I'd like the main /blog URL to divide them up based on the categories I have assigned to each post. That way, users could click on the category they'd like to see blog posts about, which would then take them through to those blog posts. This could either be done via linking to a separate /blog?=category URL, or even a drop-down filter that users can click on to filter blog posts by category. Currently, I can't see how to do either (I have tried the first option, but it's glitching and doesn't provide a great UX). Alternatively, I've seen other websites with blog structures such as this https://lifenest.co.uk/thinktank - where each category is listed as a single row, with all the relevant tagged posts in each category all visible on one page. Would anyone be able to give me some help on how I could achieve this? Thanks in advance!
  3. Site URL: https://paddlefish-cube-wsst.squarespace.com/ Draft website - https://paddlefish-cube-wsst.squarespace.com/ Password - 1234 Page - Our Projects & News --- Hi there, really need help on the below! 😭 I have been working on the "Our Project" page to set up a filter per keyword category. I have been following the steps as per this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_fvE8mO1ic I have inserted the JQuery code on the footer of the website. <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.6.0.min.js" integrity="sha256-/xUj+3OJU5yExlq6GSYGSHk7tPXikynS7ogEvDej/m4=" crossorigin="anonymous"></script> ---- Below are the issues I am facing. 1. I am unable to see an underline when a category/button is activated. CSS code used: .tabs-container{ transform:translateY(100%); width:100% !important; text-align:center; border-bottom: none !important; overflow: auto; overflow-x:auto; white-space: nowrap; z-index:99; } .tab-btn{ max-width:200px; display: inline-block; border-radius:3px 3px 0 0; border:1px solid #999; padding: 12px 18px; font-size:1.2em; background:white; margin-bottom:none !important; border:none !important; &:not(:first-of-type){ margin-left:10px; } } .tab-btn.active{ border-bottom: 1px solid #999; } section.tab-section-hide{ display:none; } section.tab-section-show{ display:flex; } 2. I have made 4 separate sections, one for each category mentioned, and have used the "inspect" function to place the specific "data-section-id" to each button but they do not work when clicked... Code used: <div class="tabs-container"> <button class="tab-btn" id="tab-1" onclick="tabOneClick()"> All </button> <button class="tab-btn" id="tab-2" onclick="tabTwoClick()"> Property Strategy </button> <button class="tab-btn" id="tab-3" onclick="tabThreeClick()"> Commercial Design </button> <button class="tab-btn" id="tab-4" onclick="tabFourClick()"> Project Management </button> </div> <!--Be sure jQuery is loaded on your site.--> <script> function tabOneClick() { $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(1)').addClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(2)').addClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(3)').addClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(4)').addClass("active"); $('[data-section-id="6281bcaef7f8387797bd28b0""]').addClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-2"]').addClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-3"]').addClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-4"]').addClass("tab-section-show"); } function tabTwoClick() { $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(1)').removeClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(2)').addClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(3)').removeClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(4)').removeClass("active"); $('[data-section-id="Section-1"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="6282cc1441bfaf47fae38755"]').addClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-3"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-4"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); } function tabThreeClick() { $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(1)').removeClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(2)').removeClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(3)').addClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(4)').removeClass("active"); $('[data-section-id="Section-1"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-2"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="6282cd9f41bfaf47fae3ce2f"]').addClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-4"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); } function tabFourClick() { $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(1)').removeClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(2)').removeClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(3)').removeClass("active"); $('button.tab-btn:nth-of-type(4)').addClass("active"); $('[data-section-id="Section-1"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-2"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="Section-3"]').removeClass("tab-section-show"); $('[data-section-id="6282ce4a50903a13c91d449c"]').addClass("tab-section-show"); } $(function() { $('[data-section-id="Section-1"]').addClass("tab-section-hide"); $('[data-section-id="Section-2"]').addClass("tab-section-hide"); $('[data-section-id="Section-3"]').addClass("tab-section-hide"); $('[data-section-id="Section-4"]').addClass("tab-section-hide"); tabOneClick(); }); Your help will be greatly appreciated... 4. Site URL: http://www.veekee.ca Hi everyone, I'm rejigging my portfolio website into the Jasper theme and I've separated all my work into individual Projects. What I want is for the these projects to be able to be filtered by a user by tag or category, and when that tag or category is clicked on, you would see all the projects (not just the images that are tagged/categorized) that have that tag/category. Example: ATB GLENORA and TIN PALACE MURAL both have a category of "XL WORKS". How can I get a link at the top of the page that says "XL WORKS", and when it's clicked on the site filters to show only these two projects (not just the images that are tagged/categorized)? After that the user can choose which one of these projects they'd like to look at more in depth? And related Q #2: There are a few basic Pages from my old site setup (ie. CERAMICS & 3D) that would be really time consuming to rebuild into Project pages. I've put them in with the Project pages I have now but I do not see an option to tag/categorize these pages to work within this filter system as well. Is any of this possible? It's so simple seeming but I can't seem to figure it out. Thank you!
  5. Site URL: https://www.filmmining101.com/hall-of-fame/beautiful-shots Hello all, I am have been creative problems in my website! I have added a page called "hall of fame" where if you click any of pictures, it will open up into a page. One of these 'pictures' is called beautiful shots. Once in there you can see that I have added a gallery with lots of images. I was wondering is there a way to filter these pictures for display? Like adding at the top a filter that will display only shots from films of the 90's, 00s, or based on the director. I think this is perhaps not possible as we just upload the images in the gallery and besides the title, description and alt title, there is not much that can be used for indexing! Hence my query. If this is not possible any potential ideas for having a nice gallery for display? Obviously, I will keep adding a lot of pictures which considering how the layout is when you upload, it will be unmanageable! Any help would be extremely appreciated!
  6. Site URL: https://www.thedaring.co/blog/category/Art Hi everyone, In Squarespace 7.1, when a reader clicks a category link (screenshot attached), I'd like them to see that category text at the top of the filtered list of content they're served. Right now, they are seeing the general blog header (screenshot attached), which can be disorienting. Has anyone figured out a way to do this? Many thanks, Ioana
  7. Site URL: https://www.copperhead.media/portfolio Hi everyone, I was glad to see there was a dedicated "project" feature on 7.1 to best display my portfolio projects, but I am finding limits in potentially being able to filter projects by category or tags. For example, I would like to be able to have a category menu bar above my projects where you can select certain project types, such as "graphic design" or "portrait photography" to sort and display the relevant items. Would this be difficult to work around? or to custom code? or perhaps I'm just missing something. Thanks!
  8. Site URL: https://imnworld.squarespace.com/ On the following page: https://imnworld.squarespace.com/. Password is: password We are using Squarewebsite's Universal Filter. If you click on the "Region" dropdown, it has three choices. These are by default alphabetized, but we would like to reorder them differently. Would anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance if you do.
  9. Site URL: https://www.wanderlustnursery.com/shop/products Hey folks! I'm hoping this is an easy one for the hive mind here. I'd like to include a link on my main product page to a filtered list that only shows products that are not sold out. I'm not trying to hide the label, but actually filter the product blocks entirely. I can't seem to find a way to do this out of the box... Here's the site: https://www.wanderlustnursery.com/shop/products
  10. Site URL: https://ederradesign.ca/portfolio I'm wondering if anyone knows if the following is possible and/or has an example of this feature working. Is it possible to list several therapists on a website, ie: 6-12 individuals and allow them to be sorted by tag (province they will be working in) If so, with which features would it be set up?
  11. Site URL: https://www.thescentedsolider.com I am trying to get my commerce site to allow customers to sort and filter my products by scent and scent collection.

  13. name: "Design", allowedOptions: "Slender, Weighty, Classic, Premium", hideValueLabel: true, capitalcase: true, multiple: true, sort: 'asAllowed', getAttr: 'tags' Hello everyone, I am using the awesome Universal Filter provided by Squarewebsites and it works fantastically. However, I just need to make a slight tweak. Is there a way to have one of the options already active on a page load? Just as an example, is it possible to have the 'Slender tag' already selected with the summary block already displaying the results.
  14. Site URL: https://dory-antelope-3w8g.squarespace.com Hi There, I have a carousel of logos and I would like to add a greyscale filter to them. I created a list section and then chose a carousel option. Is there any way to do this with custom CSS?
  15. I have an overlay filter on a video on our site. On mobile, there is a delay when this appears, so for a Brightness filter, the mobile fallback image loads, and then gets darker a couple of seconds later. Is there anyway to fix this? Or is there a way to disable the filter on mobile?
  16. Site URL: https://blenny-daffodil-5dzg.squarespace.com password :: ProdigySite2021 I am looking to add filters to the “technology” tab of my site, where users first see all products we offer, and can further filter it down by selecting industry and other further filters. I have not been able to find a way to do this. I don’t want separate buttons like how it is currently set up for the oil and gas section, but instead be able to apply all desired filters at once with little checkboxes and applying those filters.
  17. Site URL: https://activestatedesigns.squarespace.com/shop Hello there, I am very close to going live for my Squarespace site. However, I cannot get the filter I purchased to look good. Can someone help with the CSS please? I've tried, but can't seem to dissect it to get it to look right. The search on right should be wider and show it's a text input field. Then the dropdowns the width isn't right and there's some line breaks because width needs to be fixed. Otherwise I think it's close! My site is here: https://activestatedesigns.squarespace.com/shop Password: SiteTest Filter plugin: Universal Filter Thanks in advance! Lorne
  18. Site URL: https://activestatedesigns.squarespace.com/shop Hello there, I think this is a long shot, however, I was successfully able to get the the getAttr function for finding a varient and filtering by varients in my shop. GREAT FEATURE! However, all my variants have a photo tied to them. This way if you are on my product page and select a Blue shirt, the blue shirt is shown in the image. Is there a way to get the Universal Filter to filter the attributes for Blue (was able to do that with the code below), however also show the images fo that variant? { //name: "Color", //dropdown name //multiple: false, //getAttr: 'variant|Color' } I know it's a long shot, but thought I'd ask. Thanks! Lorne My site is here: https://activestatedesigns.squarespace.com/shopPassword: SiteTest
  19. Site URL: https://www.no-frames.com/photo-test Hi, I am using the tagcoud filter block and would like to be able to indicate what tag has been clicked on/currently viewing. Is this possible?
  20. Site URL: https://corn-apricot-zn88.squarespace.com/portfolio This is from a FB page, but I still need help: I am not sure how to do what the respondent suggests - I have tried a ton of options to use the selector and override to show all the summaries under that filter. I have a tough one: Someone HERE helped me with a code to limit the number of posts showing in a blog summary: #block-206175b0d9ba3902e4c7 {.summary-item-list .summary-item:nth-child(n+28) {display: none!important;}} BUT, I am using the Universal Filter and now it limits the number with anything filtered. I have the filter set so you can only choose one item at a time, so I am hoping there is a way to tell it to increase the number of summaries visible (n+36) during the Pre-K-12 filter. I tried something like .project-types-pre-k-12 {.summary-item-list .summary-item:nth-child(n+30) {display: none!important;}} BUT no luck. HELP!!! Here is the page: https://corn-apricot-zn88.squarespace.com/portfolio Jay Van Dyke This is most likely the selector [data-filter-selectors=".project-types-pre-k-12"] instead of writing as a class like you have. You also might have to write a rule to override and show the two that are being hidden by the other rule. It is a class but only on the individual items not the list as a while like you have this written. Have you written to Michael on slack? Maybe there's something in the code to achieve what you want without using CSS. Jay Van Dyke I contacted him a couple months ago about limiting the posts for the splash page. His solution was to filter them out using an “init state” filter, but that ended up breaking something else (I don’t recall what). I was really hoping the block number would change with each filter, but that doesn’t happen. It is definitely the “data filter selectors.” I will see what I can do to override the N +28. Any thoughts if it is best to try it in CSS? Or to add a code block in the page? Jay Van Dyke Dena M T Eaton-Colles css is probably best, does it work without the original code having an !important flag? Jay Van Dyke It still works on all pages (splash and filtered)
  21. Site URL: https://www.discprojects.com/blog Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to show (highlight the tag or category) that it is filtered by the tag? Right now the only way is to look at URL? For example if I filter by Cybersecurity, cybersecurity gets highlighted in tags Also is there a way to show the word "All" as the first tag that links to all tags (or categories)? Thanks
  22. Hi all, 7.1 website: https://sawfish-dragonfly-bfsj.squarespace.com/ password: PM 7.0 website: https://www.palomamcclain.com I'm on a personal plan and use my website as an art portfolio. I'm aiming to switch to a 7.1 layout because of the portfolio feature and the other lovely new features. Wells doesn't allow for project/index pages and I want to be able to use both a gallery and portfolio. I love the Wells layout because the navigation is fixed on the left and users can scroll through my art on the right. This allows for easy access to the nav without having to repetitively scroll back up to the top to click a different category. It was disappointing to learn that the header and nav in 7.1 stays horizontal. It was also frustrating to learn that 7.1 doesn't support summary blocks for galleries which means I can no longer separate my art by category. I wish to use the Universal Filter plug-in but I am a complete novice at CSS and don't understand the instructions or what I'm looking at. I contacted the developer on this matter but I welcome other help on this problem too. Is it possible to create the navigation/header in 7.1 as a sidebar like Wells, where my gallery section displays on the right? Thanks for your help!
  23. Site URL: https://mozerisfineantiques.com Hello, I would like to get my navigation the same as below, mouse over jewellery - and you get a drop down to select jewellery by brand, price, category etc. Please see example Below. https://ibb.co/9GDgrsJ This is my jewellery page, https://www.mozerisfineantiques.com/jewellery - I have already purchased universal filter for squarespace and have the option on my page to filter the products by brand, price, etc, I just need the same option when using the navigation. -------------------- I would also like to add this into my header https://ibb.co/yNkF5bz language change, and a small magnifying glass. I know you can add the search bar, but I would just like a small magnifying glass next to my social links on the home page: www.mozerisfineantiques.com Thank you, much appreciated.
