  3. Hello, I'm in the process of setting up my website to sell digital products and I notice you can't have different pricing options like you can for 'physical products'. My digital products need different pricing depending on the license option you choose, but the exact same file would be downloaded when purchased. Is there a way I can create different price options for a digital product? I do not want to list the different license options as separate products as I think this would be confusing for the customer.

I need a simple solution for pricing the same items with tax included and not included (or at a different price point), depending on if I am at a farmers market or someone is purchasing an item online. As far as I can tell, I only get one choice in setting up taxes to be either included in the price or added on to the price. Is there a way to do this? Maybe with a hidden / password accessible farmers market store front page where I can include tax in the price but my online customers don't see this page? We have been using commerce app for farmers markets but I need this flexibility for setting different pricing/taxing for the same items. I am pretty far down the road with switching to square POS app to do this, but maybe missing something??? Thank you.

I'm planning on offering walking tours - as of right now, I have been able to figure out how to do multiple bookings for one tour I've capped at 20, but what I can't figure out is if there's a way to offer said tour at different pricing levels (i.e. adult, child, family). For now I've used the add-ons to add a child ticket, but is there an easier way to integrate this into the actual pricing options?

  7. Without saying too much, I'm a new website developer who is building a website for my American Legion post. I chose Squarespace because the blocks system seems like the easiest way to make a professional looking layout without knowing much about HTML or other web technologies. I started with Wix, but the amount of customization was too much for someone like me just creating their first website. And mostly I've been impressed with what I've been able to build in a short time. That being said, Squarespace the company has NOT impressed me. The problem? Upsells. "Hey, check out this cool email marketing you can do! Want to continue, pay us money." "Hey, look at these sweet custom blocks? Want to use them? Pay us money" "Hey, look at all this neat membership portal stuff? Want to use past a trial? Upgrade your plan" None of these upsells are specified when you first pick your plan. And even when they WERE stated, all premium features for all plans show up in your dashboard, whether they are part of your plan or not. Basically nagging you to use them by upgrading your plan. No I don't want to start using a feature, build a strategy around it, and then find out later I have to pay to continue using it. What I want is a company that is upfront and transparent with their pricing. If it's not part of my plan, I don't want to see it. Squarespace, I understand that these tactics might get a few people to upgrade to higher tiers. Want to email me a promotion to upgrade every so often? That's ok. You guy have to make money too. But don't tempt me in the dashboard showing me features I can't have because I'm not on the higher tiers. That's just shady BS.

I'm a college professor and have had several students asking me about student / education pricing options for Squarespace -- I found an option in conjunction with Student Beans, but wasn't sure if that was still active / legitimate. Any confirmation, clarification, etc. would be awesome. I would love to get my students started with Squarespace 🙂

  10. So I am trying to figure out how to set up an initial down payment option for customers. I am building a small batch of boxes, I need the customers to put a deposit down and pay the remainder plus shipping once the boxes are complete. Example A - Customer wants a box made out of maple, the deposit to get them on the list is $100. The total cost of the box minus shipping is $375 so once I am done building this batch of boxes I need them to be able to pay the remainder $275 plus whatever the shipping is going to cost to their location. Example B - Customer wants a box made out of walnut, the deposit to get them on the list is the same $100. The total cost of the box minus shipping is $425 so once I am done building this batch of boxes I need them to be able to pay the remainder $325 plus whatever the shipping cost is to their location. So the way I have it working in my head is, I put up the item, limit the quantity to the amount I want to make, once they put down the deposit fee and all of items are reserved I have a list of all the people who put down the deposit and their email, I build the boxes and send out a mass email letting them all know it is completed and they need to finish the transaction by paying the fee + Shipping and I get them shipped out with a return email with the tracking numbers...??? Any help or keywords that I can search or research would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Erik
  11. I have recently started moving over to Squarespace from Indiemade and bringing listings from commerce sites. I'm in love with all the functionality but I seem to have really hit a snag with bulk editing listings? Am I missing something? My listings have several variations and I have nearly 200 hundred listings. I want to be able to quickly say, select a shop category and decrease pricing by a set amount but I can't seem to be able to do something like this? It wants me do every single variation and on every single listing manually. Is the ONLY way of doing this via downloading a CSV of your inventory and bulk editing through Excel? Why is there no user friendly way of doing this? I was also setting up a custom listing with lots of options. Now normally I would expect say option A means +£2 is added, option b means £10 is added, and it would automatically price this up. Instead, all I found was 192 variations needing me to manually work out and input a prices. This is madness! Please say I'm missing something obvious?? I would really appreciate some help / insight!

Squarespace does not allow us to adjust pricing and affect existing customers' pricing. Example: I have 100 customers paying $10 for their subscription. I want to raise the price to $11. The only way to do that is to cancel the subscription and create a new one. That WILL result in lost customers. Imagine if Netflix required customers to cancel their subscription and rejoin every time they had a price increase. 1. Anyone… is there any way around this? 2. SS employees who may monitor this thread… this needs to be changed! We need the ability to change subscription pricing (or change variants, etc…) WITHOUT requiring cancellation of services and creating a new one. 3. Unrelated to this, but a subscription related issue. Every order is a NEW order. NO! The first order is a new order. The second, third, fourth, etc… orders are not NEW orders. They are ongoing orders. This causes confusion when fulfilling orders and simply doesn't make sense. We would love to sit on an advisory panel to discuss how to improve subscriptions in SS.

However, getting it to work has proven more complicated than expected. I'm a novice to coding and web design, but I've done a lot of reading and am not totally ignorant. I understand the basic concepts of CSS, Javascript, HTML, code injections at various levels, etc. I know that Code Blocks are weird in that they're HTML-only and you have to wrap JS and CSS in <script> and <style> tags, respectively. 1) What confuses me, as a beginner, is knowing which level to inject which elements. For example, does the CSS that creates the boxes themselves go in a Code Block in the site itself, or do I put it in the site-wide "Designs-->Custom CSS"? Same with the JS: Do I put it in a Code Block, or "Setting--> Advanced-->Code Injection" and put it in the HTML? There's just so many different files spread across so many different locations. Some require me to copy and paste the whole code; others ask me to only pull out a snippet. It's not always clear which is which. Describing this problem is a little awkward because I'm not sure if I'm legally allowed to show the code itself, but I think it's okay to show the basic file structures themselves to give you an idea of how this is structured: 2) Another thing I find confusing is what I'm supposed to do with the HTML file. Its contents are identical to what you can find on its Preview Page here: (http://preview.codecanyon.net/item/web-elements-services-snippets/full_screen_preview/19227593?_ga=2.13092223.998479729.1644952873-112767015.1644952873) Am I supposed to Inspect its source code, pull out what's relevant, and paste it somewhere? If so, where? (i.e. at the Site Level or the Block Level?) Or am I supposed to basically use the index.html file as my framework, put all the relevant CSS and JS inside it, and then just delete everything I don't want? 3) Then there's the fonts. I honestly have no idea where they go, or if I need all of them or only some. The ReadMe is in mostly broken English, but he provided a block of legible HTML that he said was important (which I won't share because it's probably proprietary) and three links he said I needed to paste: 4) Again, what's "the HTML page"? Isn't every page HTML? Does he mean the index.html page? Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read and respond to this. I'm doing my best to educate myself and avoid annoying more experienced people with dumb questions, but sometimes you just need a straight answer, you know?

  18. Hello, I'm setting a store where the product are classes. Each class with only be able to take 12 participants, but there are two pricing... 1 for full fee paying students 1 for students with concession I can create the variant, but I cannot associate them to the same product quantity... Is there a way I can get around this and only set a quantity amount that is SHARED across two variants...?

I want to integrate code that will source the spot price of metal from an API and do some calculations to derive the final price of the product. If possible, the price should update once every 5 minutes. Please let me know how I can do this

I noticed that Squarespace don't accept one-time payment for my discounted yearly plan. Instead, it offers to automatically renew every end of the month. This doesn't work with me. I am afraid that after giving the discount they unsubscribe before one-year commitment. Anyone here who has the same issue as mine? How did you manage? Or what is the work-around you did? Patrons could in turn choose to pay $1 to $1,000 for a downloadable item. I see variable pricing options, but not something in which people can enter how much they'd like to pay.   25. Happy New Year to you all! I am setting up a wholesale products page. As our customers will be buying in multiples of 50/100 I was wondering how I can go about adding this feature on the product page? For example: 50-100 items cost £3 each 100-200 of the same item cost £2.50 Is there any way I can set this up so it automatically generates a cost for the differing price and amount? Therefore our customers can add the products they want and checkout without me having to invoice etc. Many thanks in advance, Helena.
