  1. Hey! I would like to add the words 'from' before the price on my MAIN products page. I've seen code to add the word before price on the price displayed once you actually click on the product but I'd like the word to show up before EVERY price on my website. Please check the image for a better idea of what I'm asking for 🙂
  2. So I am trying to figure out how to set up an initial down payment option for customers. I am building a small batch of boxes, I need the customers to put a deposit down and pay the remainder plus shipping once the boxes are complete. Example A - Customer wants a box made out of maple, the deposit to get them on the list is $100. The total cost of the box minus shipping is $375 so once I am done building this batch of boxes I need them to be able to pay the remainder $275 plus whatever the shipping is going to cost to their location. Example B - Customer wants a box made out of walnut, the deposit to get them on the list is the same $100. The total cost of the box minus shipping is $425 so once I am done building this batch of boxes I need them to be able to pay the remainder $325 plus whatever the shipping cost is to their location. So the way I have it working in my head is, I put up the item, limit the quantity to the amount I want to make, once they put down the deposit fee and all of items are reserved I have a list of all the people who put down the deposit and their email, I build the boxes and send out a mass email letting them all know it is completed and they need to finish the transaction by paying the fee + Shipping and I get them shipped out with a return email with the tracking numbers...??? Any help or keywords that I can search or research would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Erik
  3. Site URL: http://www.koryrussellart.com Is there a way to duplicate and/or save my variants? I have a lot of paintings that are the same size, and it would help to be able to have those sizes available in variants.... like when you type in a tag and it finishes it. Am I missing something? Thanks, Kory
  4. Hello, I'm setting a store where the product are classes. Each class with only be able to take 12 participants, but there are two pricing... 1 for full fee paying students 1 for students with concession I can create the variant, but I cannot associate them to the same product quantity... Is there a way I can get around this and only set a quantity amount that is SHARED across two variants...?
  5. Site URL: https://example.com Is it possible to offer dynamic pricing? Example: We offer landscaping services and we want to charge people different prices based on the size of their property. Right now it seems that the only option squarespace offers would be to provide packages such as: 1000-2000 sqft = $500 2000-3000 sqft = $1000 But this is not ideal for us. We want to do dynamic pricing, where the user can enter a number of square feet, say 3,426 and we can calculate the price such as 3,426 * $1.15 per square foot = $3,939.90. It doesn't seem like this is a possibility even through their API. We tried using the quantity field, doing something like: Product price = $1.15 per square foot and the quantity = 3,426 and then we can use JavaScript injection to change the field labels from saying quantity to saying square feet, but this doesn't work because Squarespace only allows people to add up to a maximum quantity of 500. It seems like our only real solution may be to embed our own custom checkout form in an iFrame using something like Stripe. I wanted to double check if with the forums in case I am missing something before I go ahead and implement our own checkout process.
  6. I offer an editing service, and clients pay based on the word count in their document, so if their document is 1400 words, they can drag the slider to 1400, and they are given an amount that I have set that reflects the number of words they have selected. An additional option would be a drop and drag for their document that automatically calculates the word count, and calculates the price. I am fairly certain that the below website was made on Squarespace (I could be wrong), and they have exactly what I am looking for. https://getproofed.com/prices/ Also, it would need to be integrated in the payment page so that the price they are given on the slider transfers to the payment page as well, so that they can pay the quoted price when submitting payment. Is this at all possible on Squarespace, or am I dreaming? Many thanks!
  7. Ive looked and came up empty handed. Is there a way to add thresholds pricing to quantities on items? For example, if you buy 1-10 of product A, its $15.99, but if you buy 10-20 of product A, they are 12.99. etc etc. I need a way to set the thresholds, and then hope that it also calculates it. TIA
  8. Hello everyone, in Germany (probably Europe as well) there are a lot of laws and guidelines on what an ecommerce website requires. I want to post a list of problems that we were not able to solve and hope that someone knows some tricks or that Squarespace expands its editing functionalities to fulfill those guidelines. I propose some possible solutions to the given problems as well as some quality of life feature requests later on. Problem #1: Not able to show shipping policies in the checkout. Right now it is possible to show the privacy policy, return policy and terms of service in the checkout. However, in Germany it is required to also link the shipping policy. Possible Solutions #1: Add the option to add shipping policy to the other policies linked to in checkout Add the option to show the website footer in the checkout as well as the footer could contain all required policies Problem #2: Not able to show taxes and shipping costs in the cart before selecting country in checkout. Right now it is not possible to show taxes and shipping costs for a default country in the shopping-cart. Taxes and shipping costs are shown only when a country to ship to is selected in the checkout process. In Germany it is required to show the total costs including taxes and shipping costs in the shopping-cart before the customer begins the checkout process. Possible Solutions #2: Add option to add some default tax in shopping-cart screen. So that the price is calculated before the checkout process. Maybe use a default tax there since the country to ship to is selected later on. Problem #3: Squarespace uses Cookies that shouldn't be required. Even after deactivating the precise analytics and removing social sharing buttons etc. Squarespace websites seem to establish a connection to adobe typekit. This happens also when no adobe fonts are used on the website. In Germany it is required that such a connection is established only when the customer allows it. There seems to be no way to deactivate such connections though. Possible Solution #3: Add option to use or load adobe fonts. Don't load adobe fonts if they are not used on the website Here are also some feature requests that would make building a webshop in Germany (or Europe) more easy: let each physical product have a range of days until delivery is done (eg. "This item is delivered in 2 - 5 work days.") right now one would have to add such information in the product description let each products price have the property taxes included or taxes excluded this needs to be shown under each products price, right now one has to add this to each products description let each products price have the property shipping costs included or shipping costs excluded this needs to be shown under each products price, right now one has to add this to each products description
  9. I would like to get rid of the decimals after my whole dollar amount on my product pricing. There is currently no option for that.Http://whitebarkworkwear.com thank you
  10. Site URL: http://coloradomountainlavender.com Hi. First time posting a question and novice. I sell at local farmers markets as well as online. I need a simple solution for pricing the same items with tax included and not included (or at a different price point), depending on if I am at a farmers market or someone is purchasing an item online. As far as I can tell, I only get one choice in setting up taxes to be either included in the price or added on to the price. Is there a way to do this? Maybe with a hidden / password accessible farmers market store front page where I can include tax in the price but my online customers don't see this page? We have been using commerce app for farmers markets but I need this flexibility for setting different pricing/taxing for the same items. I am pretty far down the road with switching to square POS app to do this, but maybe missing something??? Thank you.
  11. hi, i cant find where to input the cost of an item i'm selling. i can input the retail price and sale price. i find it unbelievable that there isn't a field to track COGS. how in the world was this left out? shopify has a field to track COGS. i guess nobody cares about margin...
  12. Site URL: https://www.sugarshackforge.com/available-work I am currently trying to set pricing of a product that has a very high number of variants to it (180+). I was wondering if there is a way to set a base product price and then set an added charge to the base product, based on the options that are chosen. I feel like this should be possible, but I cant seem to figure out how to do it. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.
  13. Hi, I am new to this forum. Is there a way to submit suggestions?? I run a photo studio ( https://www.lucentla.com/book ). My biggest gripe is that there isn't a dropdown menu or a way to enter the number of hours for a appointment that a client may want. Please check the link for a reference. Listing each hour block in the "Booking and Pricing" section is too much for my taste. Also, what if someone doesn't want to rent 5 and a half hours?? I feel like this should be included in each template. There should also be a few options for price scaling. Like if a client has 10 people in their crew, the should be hourly pricing should be higher.
  14. Some of my products need to have a minimum order quantity - is there a way to set this without listing every possible quantity/price combination in variants? For example, my product has a set unit price but has a minimum order quantity of 20. Any help appreciated!
  15. Site URL: https://www.normalizetheperiod.com Hi there! I have a shop integrated with Printful and about 30 products on there. I went through the Squarespace commerce to change the pricing for each product, however whenever I have a Product or Gallery on the homepage or another page, the price is not reflecting the changes I made. Is there a way to fix this so the prices reflect the most updated ones in the shop without me having to delete and re-sync them all? Thank you!
  16. Site URL: https://www.essabaird.com/ Hi I would love for honest feedback on my Art + Art Commerce site EssaBaird.com. I have designed it entirely myself and still learning the best way to go about things. I'm especially interested in ways to improve my viewers average time on the website. Thanks in advance!
  17. Site URL: http://www.nboxdelivers.com Hi All, I'd love to get some feedback on overall website design & pricing for my services. This is a new type of service that doesn't quite have a market yet, and figuring out what people are comfortable paying has been a task. All thoughts welcome!
  18. Site URL: https://www.grandcitiespickleball.com Is there a way to make a product form affect the pricing? I manage this site for a local sports club, their tournament registration allows the customer to sign up for more combinations than the product variants allow. Ideally I would like to have a checkbox for each event that the customer wants and whether or not they're paying for their partner. All events are the same cost per person, so each checkbox would increase the cost by the same amount. I've messed around with coding this functionality but I'm not sure how to make custom code affect a price on squarespace or output the data to a form that the admins can reference. If anyone is interested I can send the custom code for them to review. Thanks, Killian.
  19. Hello, I'm in the process of setting up my website to sell digital products and I notice you can't have different pricing options like you can for 'physical products'. My digital products need different pricing depending on the license option you choose, but the exact same file would be downloaded when purchased. Is there a way I can create different price options for a digital product? I do not want to list the different license options as separate products as I think this would be confusing for the customer.
  20. Site URL: https://www.annyanderyn.com/baby-mobiles Novice coder looking for help - we are selling some bespoke/custom products which vary in price depending on what the customer wants. Can I add the work "from" to the price on our product pages? Only way I've found so far is to use variants but don't want the dropdown selector either... https://www.annyanderyn.com/baby-mobiles (scroll down - last product listed) https://www.annyanderyn.com/baby-mobiles/p/earth-sky-planter-tcf57 (on this link I've coded to remove the price but would love it to say "from £85) PW: distinct62 TIA
  21. Happy New Year to you all! I am setting up a wholesale products page. As our customers will be buying in multiples of 50/100 I was wondering how I can go about adding this feature on the product page? For example: 50-100 items cost £3 each 100-200 of the same item cost £2.50 Is there any way I can set this up so it automatically generates a cost for the differing price and amount? Therefore our customers can add the products they want and checkout without me having to invoice etc. Many thanks in advance, Helena.
  22. I'm building on online store for a cannabis company, and certain laws and regulations are presenting me with unique challenges. For example, we aren't allowed to directly sell cannabis products on our site, so I've made our "add to cart" buttons link to the BC Cannabis website instead of adding the item to the cart. My next challenge is to hopefully set up the squarespace store pages to automatically update the product prices when they change on the government website, in order to save time and prevent miscommunications that might frustrate customers. Does anybody have any insight into how to accomplish this, and/or whether it can be done at all?
  23. Site URL: https://www.tristarbincleaning.com/ We offer primarily subscription service on our site. We will need to adjust pricing at some point. Squarespace does not allow us to adjust pricing and affect existing customers' pricing. Example: I have 100 customers paying $10 for their subscription. I want to raise the price to $11. The only way to do that is to cancel the subscription and create a new one. That WILL result in lost customers. Imagine if Netflix required customers to cancel their subscription and rejoin every time they had a price increase. 1. Anyone… is there any way around this? 2. SS employees who may monitor this thread… this needs to be changed! We need the ability to change subscription pricing (or change variants, etc…) WITHOUT requiring cancellation of services and creating a new one. 3. Unrelated to this, but a subscription related issue. Every order is a NEW order. NO! The first order is a new order. The second, third, fourth, etc… orders are not NEW orders. They are ongoing orders. This causes confusion when fulfilling orders and simply doesn't make sense. We would love to sit on an advisory panel to discuss how to improve subscriptions in SS.
  24. I have a client (a local farm) looking to set-up e-commerce on Squarespace. They sell/price products based on weight. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve for this with Squarespace/Stripe? Perhaps setting up a fixed cost that acts as a 'hold' price, that can be adjusted later when the produce/meat is picked up in person on a POS? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  25. Site URL: https://plane-clover-ffr7.squarespace.com I'm currently building a website that will sell digital goods, one being album cover art. I wanted to let customers add a visualizer to the cover art within the same product. I'm trying to avoid adding it as a variant because I don't want people to see the price of the cover art as "From $25" (And I've googled my heart out trying to figure out how to get rid of the word from and no one knows how) https://forum.squarespace.com/topic/144534-remove-from-in-product-price-with-multiple-variants/ Is there a code I can inject or block I can alter that would allow me to add a checkbox that would say "Add visualizer for $20" and when it's checked people see that the total is $45? I've attached an image of a website using something similar.
