    Do your anchor link instructions differ from SQSP?

    In this how-to, step 2 is "In the web address field, add the full URL for the page (even if it's the same page), and an additional slash mark."

    Your video doesn't mention the "additional slash mark." I've tried both ways and my text link won't drag the anchor to the top of the page.

    Any thoughts? Thanks!

      Woah - I didn't realize you could post directly on my profile here on the forum!! 😳 I'd love to help but it's hard to know what's wrong without seeing an example.

      I can't speak to Squarespaces instructions; my anchor link tutorial creates a div ta gin the HTML that's like a hidden label. When you add that label at the end of a URL, the page will load at that spot in the HTML document tree. 

      Here is an example from my most recent tutorial. Notice that there isn't a slash before the div id in the url: https://insidethesquare.co/squarespace-tutorials/summary-read-more#code

    Background: The admin for a client (church) is not tech-savvy—almost tech-phobic. So I'm looking for a way she can deal with creating recurring events more easily. Initially, I'd created separate events for the 8am service, the 9am adult ed class, and the 10:30a service. As we know, SQSP requires that a recurring event (say, every Sunday at 8am) be manually edited, and that's a lot of detail for a tech-hater. A different approach: Instead of creating 3 separate, weekly, Sunday events (with lots of text and links for each one), I listed all 3 Sunday things in one event, to see how it looks in a calendar. I'm using a trial site for this experiment. Problem: The trial 3-in-1 event is not showing up in the trial calendar. Why? I know about the limitations of SQSP regarding recurring events. This is my attempt at finding a way for the admin to have to do less weekly work. I'm not looking for recommendations for calendar plug-ins, etc. Some dummy events are already in the calendar.     I'm not a code person, but I can cut and paste. I did just learn how to find a block ID so that's cool. I'd like to have the text block that lays on top of the photo on this home page use a slightly opaque/mostly transparent background. What's wrong with my code though? It doesn't work.     I found this old post from 2020, and it describes my need perfectly: Is it possible to have a form that submits data to a variety of email addresses instead of just one? I have a client who would like to direct email to a different member of staff depending on which name the user chooses from a list or pull-down menu in a contact form. Can this be achieved through coding / customization? I am not a whiz at SQSP so if you have an answer, please be very specific and step-by-step. (P.S. this is not about doing email blasts)

    I too am building a church site with repeating weekly events (worship, study hours, etc.). What a lot of work.

    I have the same need: To be able to filter a calendar to display only one type of event (category? collection?). My church schedules worship events, one-time special events, vestry meetings, and study groups. Can a user filter the calendar so as to display only one type of event?

    I'm not an expert, but I've encounterred a similar issue before. Is this a gallery block? You might check that each image is positioned (top, left, right, center, bottom) and sized in the same way. Good luck!

    Site URL: https://llama-jellyfish-92m5.squarespace.com/ I know that the IG block (Grid view currently being used. but could be changed if need be) for Brine (7.0) only displays the first ("static") image in a multi-photo IG post. Is there a way to add code so that my client's three photos (in one post) are all displayed in the IG block. Failing that, is there a way to add code so that clicking on a multi-photo IG post expands to show the two that the IG block is hiding? PWD inwardcompass

Scrolling to the last page/section takes you to a contact block overlaid on a background image. The My Journey page/section is a block with a card that includes a Learn More button that is linked to the Contact section/page. Clicking the button (instead of scrolling down to the Contact page) makes the Contact page/section look different—the background has become a banner image instead of a background image. Why does clicking the Learn More button make the Contact page look different? Thanks! pwd is inwardcompass

    Derrick, Thank you for going to the trouble! FreeFrontEnd has just the arrow style I want here. I'm using SqS 7.1, which is making it much harder to customize than 7.0. 

    Would you want to make suggestions about HOW to modify their CSS code to make the animated arrow overlay a banner image so that it's near/at the bottom?
