  1. Site URL: https://runningineights.squarespace.com/ Hello! I have two issues. How do I reduce the padding globally under the header. The gap is still far too wide even when I've decreased this in section options. Also, there's a white bar that shows itself in mobile right above the footer (attached). How do I get rid of this or globally change the sites background color? Thank you so much for any help!
  2. I am using the Bryler template and have a single index page for my site that holds all of the content pages within it. I am trying to create a scenario where the first page of the index has different padding (top and bottom margins) than the rest of the pages within the same index. In other words, can I adjust the padding of a single page within an index without affecting the others? Let's say my index is named "welcome" and the first content page under that is called "home". I found this code on another thread, but cant seem to assign the page names properly... section#video .Index-page-content { padding-top: 20px; padding-bottom: 20px; } I tried using "welcome#home" and "home#welcome", but neither worked. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, as a very inexperienced coder. I'm hoping some one can help me out. Thanks so much.
  3. Hey you all! I'm pretty new to SS, so bare with me. I'm trying to reduce the spacing between the video and banner of the index page. It's the black block/banner here on my site to my site www.drpodcasts.com I've tried this code I found here on these forms, but it didn't work: <style> #page { padding-top; 30px; padding-bottom: 0px; } </style> Basically, I want to shorten the size of the banner page so the video is nearly flushed with the video. I know I could do this by going to Design>Styles>INDEX:PAGE>Padding (Overlay Pages), but this affects every index page. I want this type of padding adjustment, but to ONLY affect the index page of where my video is. I've also attached a screenshot of what I'm trying to achieve. Hopefully that makes sense and hopefully someone can help me with this! Thank you!
  4. Site URL: https://www.mattportch.com/lost-america-prints Hi, How do I get the text at the bot tom of this page to align with the margin? (I've already added this page code for the current margin to contain the other elements): <style> @media (min-width: 768px) { header#header, .content-wrapper, .section-background { padding-left: 9% !important; padding-right: 9% !important; }} </style>
  5. Site URL: https://scottmedway1.squarespace.com/general-5 Hello! I am trying in vain to use my custom CSS to increase the bottom padding between images when using a Gallery block on Squarespace 7.1 viewed on mobile. The space between each image is a bit too tight for my taste. I have looked everywhere in the knowledgebase with no results, am I missing something obvious? Thank you!
  6. Site URL: https://r2rdigital.squarespace.com/ Hi Squarespace Forum'ers, I'm currently designing a website and have am excited to be picking up CSS knowledge as I go - that said, I'm still falling short and would appreciate any help on the following points. Thank you in advance for your time! Changes specific to the mobile version of the site: Is there a way to align certain sections of text differently? We have some line breaks on the desktop version of the site, which make the text appear oddly on mobile - is there a way to remove the line break? On that same note, can we add a line break to text on a button? I'd like to make the text in the footer appear in two columns - is this possible? Is it possible to align an image in the footer differently? Lastly, our current landing page doesn't fill the mobile screen - is there a way to change this? Changes to mobile and desktop: Our current landing page doesn't fill both the desktop and mobile screen - is there a way to change this? Is it possible to add a page transition? This ideally wouldn't be on elements, but just when a new page is visited. Is it possible to time a page and for it to redirect a visitor automatically? We have a landing page where a video plays, and following this, we'd like it to send visitors to the home page. If not, are we able to time/delay a button, so that this appears after a few seconds? Lastly, are we able to add a drop shadow to a video block? I understand there's a lot of queries here, and to echo what I mentioned earlier, any help would be greatly appreciated! The password for the site is: 'forum2020' If you require any screenshots/further info, I'd be more than happy to provide them 🙂 Thank you, Thomas 😊

  14. Hi all, I am new with Squarespace and have no prior experience in web design. I recently started to create a web-page and I have encountered some difficulties. I would really appreciate your help. (1) I have been trying to remove the space between the page content and the heading of the page with no success, see image below: The only workaround I have found so far is: .sqs-block-horizontalrule hr { margin-top: -170px; margin-bottom: 0px } I am not too happy about the solution above since this is mainly moving the horizontal line 170px up. Copy-pasting other suggestions from this forum has not worked out, most have not led to any visible changes. I am new to CSS so I may have done something wrong. (2) Another topic would be the "menu bar" I have created using six buttons next to each other (also visible in the lower part of my screenshot). This bar should always be present in any page of the website. Is there an alternative way to create a similar menu bar? If not, how can I reduce the height of the buttons? This is all the CSS code I have for now: Thank you very much!

  20. Site URL: http://www.dynamoultima.com/home-1 Hey there! This is driving me crazy. I've added this marqee code to one of my index pages as a code block and im trying to get the content to span the entire width of the page without needing to change the entire site padding. I've only been able to get it to span the width of the page if I make my site padding 0px..but that causes issues because then I need to manually add spacers to ALL of my content which is not what I want to do. Plus it doesn't look good on mobile. Is there any way that I can just change the padding for the content on of ONE of my index pages? That way I can get this marquee to not have the site padding spacing on the sides?
  21. Hello! My site navigation text on iPad (horizontal) view stacks on top of each other. I was wondering if there was a way for the iPad view to resemble the desktop view. I'm not sure what code I should use to prevent the menu from changing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! I tried this code but it wasn't responsive: @media screen and (min width: 768px) and (max-width:1024px) { .header-menu-nav-item a { font-size: 20px; } }
