  1. I'm wondering if someone can help me to fix a padding issue. I have added a markdown box (with a H5 and H6). The text has a large gap between the headings and I'm wondering if there's any way to make the gap smaller? I've checked the Syntax cheat sheet but there's no help for this. https://khp-landing.squarespace.com/ The site password is 'pa33word' Thanks in advance :) Claire.
  2. Site URL: https://www.chrisclearfield.com/conference I'm editing a website that I didn't build, and am having an issue where there is an annoying space between the header navigation menu and the body content. The theme is Brine. In site styles, the only option to adjust the padding is the make the header comically large to cover the space, but I can't figure out why I can't move the body content block up to the header otherwise. It looks like whomever set up the site used some custom code and I'm wondering if that's somehow interfering with the spacing issue. It's across all pages of the site. I'm not a seasoned coder and I'm working with a limited knowledge of it, so I'm hesitant to try to make changes without a little guidance first. I've uploaded screenshots of the page with the space visible and with the header enlarged to mask it. I'm working on a specific unlinked page, but the issue persists across the entire website. Can anyone offer some potential solutions to try and reduce the space since there is no option in site styles that currently affects it at all? Thanks
  3. Site URL: https://crimson-cello-cw8x.squarespace.com/ Working on this site: https://crimson-cello-cw8x.squarespace.com/ Right now there's a site header with logo and nav and a gallery directly under it. I would like to shrink the padding between the site header and gallery and can't find a place to do that anywhere. Any tips would be appreciated.
  4. Hi there, I'm using Wells template and it works great. I'm just wondering if it's possible to add an header in the product page. I can't find a solution. Anyone can help me? Thank you!!
  5. Hi there, I'm trying to make my footer align but 7.1 is "not up to speed" to put it nicely. Can someone drop me some CSS to over ride the built in padding. See photo. I have basic understanding of CSS, if someone can provide simple code, I should be able to mess around with the numbers to get what I need. Thanks!
  6. Site URL: https://arenastrategy.squarespace.com/thinking-blog How do I add padding to top of Blog page in version 7.1? On a blog page, I added a section above the blog-page content. And now the section with all the blog post has VERY little padding/top spacing compared to how all sections looks across this side. I cant/not possible to add blocks within the blog-section, I guess I need code to manually set the padding for this section? How? site/page is here: https://arenastrategy.squarespace.com/thinking-blog Password is: Arenasite I dont know code-language myself, but have no troble adding code to a site (if I am told what code, and where it goes)
  7. Site URL: https://www.kazimghafoor.co.uk/work Hi all, I wanted to add gaps between my photos on the work page of my website. It doesn't appear that I'm able to do this without some coding. Could anyone help? My website page is: https://www.kazimghafoor.co.uk/work To give an example of what I had in mind, I've attached another website page as an example: https://www.alexstrohl.com/photos The template I'm using is Flatiron Thanks very much for your help! Kazim
  8. I'm trying to reduce the padding between an image and caption in 7.1. The default is ridiculously big. Does anyone know of a custom CSS code to fix that issue? I'd like a code that fixes it site-wide. The site is set to private right now because it's not ready yet....Here's an example though, this image is an inline image block.
  9. Hi! How can I reduce the padding between two sections in squarespace 71.? See attached image!
  10. Hello fine Squarespace experts, I'm swapping Five for Brine and I'm loving it. Mostly. Here's the issue: I am using, and liking, the inset feature, BUT I still want to have white space on the sides of the page when I am doing side-by-side text or image blocks. Problem: when I turn on "Site Padding" to accomplish the white space (currently at 50px), that site padding affects my gallery images, but I want to have FULL WIDTH galleries. I've thought about this from many angles and since I have less galleries than any other blocks, it seems to make sense to override the site padding on galleries. I've tried to insert snippets of code found here and around the web, but nothing seems to work. Ideally what I'm hoping for is a global setting in Custom CSS, since there will never be a time where I dont want gallery images to appear full width. I know I can do this with index pages, but some of these have to live as part of navigation sets, so that cant be a solution across the board. Help much appreciated :)Maria PS: The site currently is preview only since I'm revamping an existing website. Hence no reference links. If it's necessary, I can duplicate a page or two.
  11. Site URL: https://fiddle-shark-9ndz.squarespace.com/ Hi everyone, I am trying to customise my footer and reduce the padding between the social blocks and the text above. Can anyone help me with this? I would also like to reduce the padding above the newsletter block text as well as the padding between the text and the input field I have attached screenshots of the sections mentioned
  12. Site URL: https://www.earthdrivencollective.com.au/home Hi again! Need help on this. Client wants the gap to be less in between the navigation items and content (photos). I'm thinking the only way to do that is to: 1. Decrease the height between the (1) main navigation and drop down menu items and 2. Decrease the height between the drop down items 3. Make the fonts of the drop down menu items smaller Then after that I can adjust the padding between the navigation and content. Does anyone know the codes for the three adjustments above? 🙂 Or any suggestions to make it work? Ideally, client doesn't want a big space between navigation and content. Is there any way to do that once we add more items in the drop down menu?
  13. Site URL: https://www.earthdrivencollective.com.au/home Hi! Currently adjusting our site in mobile. I feel like this should be basic but does anyone know how to adjust the content padding in mobile? And also, can we make the font size of the drop down menu items smaller but not the main navigation? Thank you in advance for the help!
  14. Site URL: https://grape-fiddle-5tas.squarespace.com/ Hi – I've been working on a site for a client and would love help on how to: 1) Make the header links a little bigger 2) Make there be overall less vertical padding between the different text blocks throughout. (It's just all so spread-out feeling.) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Site URL: https://translegal-llc.squarespace.com/ Hi, Am having no luck writing CSS to target a section in 7.1 to reduce the space above and below this image in a gallery section (screenshot). Would love some help! Thanks, Barbara
  16. Site URL: https://www.tjarkprose.com Hello! How can I change the index menu padding only for mobile view? The padding distance for laptop view is already perfect Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  17. Could anyone tell me why there is such a large gap of space between the caption & image? I did use custom CSS code from a fellow Facebooker, but he doesn't think the codes are the problem? I have the Skye template. It's just in my latest post since I've added code: https://www.stefastrolls.com/home/day-trip-to-zaandam-zaanse-schans-netherlands These are all the codes I currently have in SS: .footer-nav .main-navigation::after { white-space: pre-line; content: "\00000A © 2019 all rights reserved";} img:not([alt="Stefa Strolls"]) { border: 12px solid #fff; } Thank you in advance!
  18. Site URL: https://www.healinginnovations.com/product-page I am using the Hayden template and trying to build out this design (attached - don't judge images, waiting on new assets), but am running into some roadblocks when it comes to any split images/solid colors (the hero, for providers & for patients sections). I found some articles saying to do gallery blocks, but I can't seem to get the text over the solid block. Also, I need these gallery blocks (or whatever I end up using) to go edge-to-edge with no padding (like a banner image would). Need suggestions on how I can make this design reality!! I'm also anticipating some issues with the "need more information" section as well so that it has zero padding around it as well.
  19. Site URL: https://fpg.com I'm running into an issue where I have several folders in my primary navigation bar, but when they drop down, they get cut off by the right side of the screen. I've included an image as shown, but am hoping to add some sort of padding on the far right side of the navigation screen. Id still like my links to be right aligned, because I know putting them in the center would technically solve my problem, but am hoping to just shift all of my content over a little to the left so that you're able to read whats in all the folders. Anyone know how to solve this problem?
  20. Site URL: http://www.michellemishina.com Hi! Does anyone know how to increase the padding / spacing between images in the grid gallery? The first image is of my current site's gallery spacing. The other is an example of a grid gallery (not squarespace) with wider padding between images, and is closer to what I want. Thank you! :)
  21. Site URL: https://www.foodsafetyguides.com/example There is a large amount of white space between (a) the navigation bar and window perimeter and (b) the navigation bar and main content in pages located in a folder in the Bedford template, so much that the template squeezes the content to the point I can't see everything when I embed files and have to scroll back and forth left to right (see screenshot). I know I could try to re-size the embedded file, but I like it's size. What I'd prefer to do is reduce the white space to make more room for main content. I tried reducing padding, but that just increased/reduced padding between navigation and edge of window. Thanks for your help!
  22. Site URL: https://recorder-piano-n3y7.squarespace.com I'm using the flatiron template and would like to know how to reduce the right margin next to the images on the Project / Layout page. My image width is set to 1200px, but there is still a white space next to the image on the right. Is there a custom code to remove the white block on the right?
  23. Site URL: http://www.dynamoultima.com/home-1 Hey there! This is driving me crazy. I've added this marqee code to one of my index pages as a code block and im trying to get the content to span the entire width of the page without needing to change the entire site padding. I've only been able to get it to span the width of the page if I make my site padding 0px..but that causes issues because then I need to manually add spacers to ALL of my content which is not what I want to do. Plus it doesn't look good on mobile. Is there any way that I can just change the padding for the content on of ONE of my index pages? That way I can get this marquee to not have the site padding spacing on the sides?
  24. Site URL: https://www.dariusfilip.com/portfolio-2 Hi there!
