  1. Is it possible to insert text underneath the logo using ::before or ::after? Or any other method if it's better? I need the text to be centered relative to the logo on desktop and mobile. Thank you in advance. URL: https://steven.squarespace.com/test
  2. Is there a way to change the marquee speed to other than the available 0.5x, 1x, 2x speeds? Thanks.
  3. Thanks so much! Yeah, I've noticed Global CSS blocks the use of variables. But if you use individual page's HTML editor, variables work just fine. Nonetheless, I still replaced --siteBackgroundColor with background-color.
  4. Thank you. Almost there except for this weird issue: When I enter the code in Custom CSS, it gives me Syntax Error on line containing --siteBackgroundColor If you don't mind, one more question about smooth transition. I used the following code: section[data-section-id="64d3cfe46593f86d84a5243a"]:not(.has-background):hover .section-background { --siteBackgroundColor: red; } section[data-section-id="64d3cfe46593f86d84a5243a"]:not(.has-background) .section-background { transition: all .5s ease-in-out; } Is there a different property I could use instead of all in transition: all .5s ease-in-out? Thanks.
  5. Is it possible to change section background color on hover with smooth transition? In my case, I also have dividers enabled. I tried targeting all kinds of selectors, but none seems to work. Desired effect: Normal: On hover:
  6. I'm on Squarespace 7.1, using a video block without player controls. On desktop, it works perfectly fine. But on mobile, nothing happens when tapping the video. With player controls, it works fine on mobile. But I don't want to show any player controls. Any way to fix this? Thanks.
  7. Sometimes it can take as long as 5 seconds for search results to appear. I would understand if my store contained billions of products. But it's just 30 items, and it still takes 3-5 seconds. On big sites like Apple, Amazon, Reddit, Twitter, their search results are pretty much instantaneous.
  8. Thank you, BaNgan. I see that you scaled the canvas, but not the shapes themselves. Is there a CSS code that would make the shapes smaller as opposed to making the canvas bigger? I also would like to reduce the number of shapes for mobile. Currently there are 100 shapes. But for mobile, I would like 20 shapes. Sorry, this issue is low-priority. BaNgan, could you take a look at this page https://steven.squarespace.com. It's more important than the issue above 😁 I would like to customize the canvas for mobile: 1. Make it 200% wide 2. Center it horizontally Could you help me with that? I'd be so grateful. Thank you in advance.
  9. Yes, the issue is still there. Please make sure your screen width is less than 1750px. You will see the black padding.
  10. Site URL: https://steven.squarespace.com/home-2 The WebGL background that I'm using lets you adjust the size of floating shapes. I currently have it set to 20. Is it possible to change the size, for example, to 10 for mobile only using CSS? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  11. This will change your two buttons "Open Form" and "Get Your Cheatsheet" .form-block .lightbox-handle, .form-wrapper input[type=submit] { background-color: #215eed; font-family: "Montserrat", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; }
  12. Site URL: https://steven.squarespace.com/test I don't understand why it's there. I double-checked the section setup and made sure that the block fills up the section completely edge to edge and top to bottom, but that pesky bottom padding still persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  13. Developer Heather Tovey created a chrome extension specifically for finding various Squarespace IDs (such as blocks, sections, collections, etc.). I've been using it for several years now, and it's a huge timesaver. A must-have for anyone who builds with Squarespace. 14. My section uses the new Fluid Engine, and image block captions are nowhere to be found.
  15. This code used to work, but not anymore. The focus outline keeps persisting. Could you help, please? 🙂
  16. Squarespace says it's possible to add captions to images in Image Blocks in Squarespace 7.1 (and they even have a tutorial on how to style them), but I don't see that option.
  17. Thank you, BaNgan! This is a great start. I think the animation of menu closing and menu items still needs work. I'll play with your code and see how I can improve it. There is a great website called SquareRefresh.com (built on 7.1), and their mobile menu behaves just like Apple's. I wish Squarespace gave us more options to customize our menu designs and animations. Hopefully in the future.
  18. I have one specific example that I would like to achieve for my website. Take a look at https://apple.com on mobile, and try opening and closing their menu. Notice how it slides down and up smoothly. Is there any way to achieve something similar on 7.1? I've attached a screen recording of Apple's mobile navigation in action: Screen Recording 2022-01-04 at 16.44.06.mov
