  1. You are absolutely right. I'm annoyed that I didn't know about this major problem when I decided to move here and build my website in a very elaborate way. I'll keep an eye on it for a short while and then, in the worst case, switch to Wix (a customer site I built with it, has much better results, without having to tune it with as much effort as my SqS site) or I'll switch to Wordpress. But hope dies last. Please use the support - the more of us that do, the sooner they react. Thank you
  2. I‘ve got the same mail, months ago. Very sad
  3. Exactly the same here. Thank you for sharing your experience. Hopefully more users knocks at the support team.
  4. Thank you @paul2009 for your support and your true words. More users urgently need to contact support and make their displeasure clear. The status quo is absolutely no longer acceptable – especially not with Google's AI SGE approaching: From 2024, sites will have to be much more performant. Freedom from errors and speed will then be essential if you want to have a chance of keeping up with competitors who are with higher-performance hosters.
  5. @Mr_E I feel you. Exactly the same here with our extensive Website! After launch I was shocked. How many hours I have spent on tests and optimizations to see that there is hardly any change in the bad score. I'm pretty sure 30-40 score points are being pushed down by SqS. That's a bad realisation. For such a large company with +4.2 million accounts, this is an absurdity. Especially with regard to all common and known to come SEO rules. You have minimum 1 opportunity to change this: Participate in the critique of some community members and let the SqS support know about your finding and your displeasure. This is what (too few) others have done, as you can read here in this thread, as well as me. I was constructively, friendly but quite direct and used the technical terms and screenshots to describe the problem because I realised: it's their JavaScripts! I was clear in what I thought of it and that I couldn't use it for myself and my customers in this state and would have to move away if it wasn't improved soon. I had to complain to support twice before I was assured that this problem was known and that my feedback would definitely be passed on to the relevant departments. So: be patiened but use your voice. Here's the link to get in touch with them. Whether they will discuss and change this is questionable. But the more users like you and I refuse to accept this impossible situation and complain to support, the louder our voices will become and hopefully we will be heard at some point. My hope is that this will be fixed very soon, by Feb. 2024. Otherwise I need to invest in expensive Ads – or to leave.
  6. thank you! I have removed the media query instruction again and simply aligned the overview in the mobile editor: this way I don't notice this too big fun anymore and save myself extra code. Thanks again!
  7. Hello everyone, It irritates me, that SqS prevents zooming via gesture on mobile devices for the 'Lightbox' function. Neither the image lightbox nor the gallery lightbox can be used to zoom the images on smartphones etc. 🤔 How can this be enabled, ideally via CSS?
  8. Hi @creedon,Now I realize that this solution has a disadvantage. There is a long space under the element, which does not appear in the editor and cannot be reduced there 🤷🏻‍♂️ Do you have an idea for this?
  9. Thank you very much! That helped me a lot 🙏
  10. Wow, wow, wow!!! Thank you @Web_Solutions MD Rofik! This is an incredible help for me and I am speechless! Thank you very much!!!! Could you give me a hint on how to change the y-position for screens <750px? I would want to place the arrows at the bottom edge.
  11. Hi together, My CSS knowledge is probably too small, which is why I would like to ask for your valuable advice. My issue is: Within a blog post I find the navigation to the previous/next blog post not so good. This navigation is at the bottom of each post and is not inviting enough, I think, to press them and discover the posts. (See screenshot) I would like to change that. And preferably like on my previous page: There were arrows on the right and left of the screen that led to the neighboring blog posts these were positioned in the middle and sticky to make a blog post stand out from the rest of the page, there should be a white frame around the actual content. Just like on the old site To perhaps better understand, visit my current SqS blog page and my old one. New: https://www.sanfilippo.design/projekte/webdesign-medizintechnik-herstellerOld: https://dev.sanfilippo.de/projekte/webdesign-medaspis I would be so thankful for any help and Advise. Thank you!
  12. Hi together, I can't make it with my CSS attempts and hope to get your help: On my homepage under "Projects" you can see the masonry of my blog summary: Here the three-column display becomes two-column for screens <1450 px and even one-column for pages <980. I would like to change two things: i would like them like on my blog site summary (link): they should stay three-columned until <750px (when the page switches to mobile mode anyway). i would like to reduce the vertical spacing between the three image/text blocks. These seem too large, especially on mobile. How could I achieve this? Thank you in advance!!
  13. Thank you! I didn't seen this in bottom! 🫣😅
  14. Hi together, I tried a bit with the safe-mode by adding /safe to my editing-URL (…squarespace.com/config/safe). This activates obviously the safe-mode and the editing-URL looks now clean as before without /safe at the end of my snail). All well and good. But how do I leave this mode again? I tried /exit or /unsafe etc. but all these doesn't works.
  15. Hi @MakkPress generally this sounds good. And I could give it a try. But it makes me curious: How do you get to grips with the unused Java scripts from SqS? And why are no SqS case studies on your website? Antworte bitte, damit ich mir ein Bild von diesem Tool machen kann.
