  1. I've got image blocks that are set to clickthrough to another page. I wanted those images to have a hover over effect and I have found the code for that but it only works when you add a custom css block to the page. So I get the image to show up but so far can't find a way to link a URL to it. Is there anyway to link a clickthrough URL to a custom css code? Below is the code i'm using <img src="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/53407622e4b0f0bdc6e387dc/t/5dcf181f66e4061a93334439/1573853226998/WinterWandering.jpg" onmouseover="this.src='https://static1.squarespace.com/static/53407622e4b0f0bdc6e387dc/t/5dcf18cc3563fc67fd558d75/1573853393669/WinterWanderingv2.jpg'" onmouseout="this.src='https://static1.squarespace.com/static/53407622e4b0f0bdc6e387dc/t/5dcf181f66e4061a93334439/1573853226998/WinterWandering.jpg’"> The link to the page i'm trying to do it is here www.wraysinclair.com/film - the top one is how I want the clickthrough to work, and the bottom image is how I want the hover effect to work. Does anyone know any code that I could add a clickthrough URL to my custom css block? Specifically the url I want to link to is www.wraysinclair.com/winter-wandering
  2. Hi, I am using the SKYE template for my blog. Currently, I have already included (from template) category links which regroup my blog posts by category (travel, Food & drink). Super helpful, all good there. I want to create a page with images only -- which clicks through to not categories, but tags. (ie. the page will feature countries i've visited and then when you click on the country, it will regroup tags of all the blog posts written about cities, places in that country). I've sucessfully created a page with images and when I follow the directions on how to ceate a click through image URL, I am having issues. I open the image editor, I go under 'Design' then click on 'Clickthrough URL'. After, I am unable to see any tags i've created and only see the two categories (which came with the template). That said, I'd like some direction on how to make a tag link work but without having the tags visible on my site navigation bar, like the categories. Is there a way to make a link to tags, without having the tags visible in the site navigation? Thank you!
  3. Site URL: https://www.discoverthespots.com/en/tours/boat Hello, Im trying to edit the click through link of a specific product button and i cannot figure it out. I would like the button to link to the contact page rather than adding the product to the cart. Is it possible to do that on a single page? The password to view the page is rome2020. Thankyou, C
  4. Site URL: http://www.lisaromerein.com Hi! I am looking for help coding the slideshow galleries on my site (using the Wells template). I don't want to have any arrows showing in order to control toggling between previous and next images. However, I would like it to function in a manner that when you click on the left side of the gallery, the slide show will go to the previous image, and when you click on the right side of the gallery, the slideshow will progress forward. As it functions now, no matter where you click, the slideshow progresses forward to the next image. If you are able to help let me know! Thank you so much!
  5. I am trying to get the clickthrough URL of each image in my galleries to open in a new tab. I did some digging and I noticed that each gallery image has the <div class="margin-wrapper"> on it. So I am thinking if I can have anything that has that class open in a new tab I should be good? How can I change all external links contained within <div class="margin-wrapper"> to automatically open in a new blank target tab?
  6. Hey guys. So i'm currently using the Brine template and I was wondering if there was anyway to make the banners a click through link, instead of having only the text on the banner be the link. I'm guessing this would be with the help of some custom css. Any help on the matter is much appreciated. Thank you.
  7. Site URL: https://www.joshwilkinson3d.com/doom-stamps My current website is on Wix but I have some gripes with it (won't go into that here). One thing that has me cautious about making the switch to Squarespace is the implementation of interactive images. I worked on a project a while back and one of the pages on my current site displays before and afters. What I did was basically input a large "button" that displays a different image for static display, hover, and click. Can I do something like that with Squarespace?
  8. Site URL: https://www.ensignestates.com/home Hi, I'm trying to remove the ability for users to click through on the Images within a Summary Block on my home page. I have found a previous CSS insert on a previous post but this did not work. They are for display purposes only and does not have any content attached. Any advice / help would be appreciated.
  9. Hi, I have a hyperlinked image block where I'd like for the below to happen upon hover: - Text to appear over the image - White opacity over image I've managed to get this to work using the below CSS code however it seems to have messed up the image clickthrough function. I believe the problem is specifically with the white opacity over image which seems to be disabling clickthrough function. Help! Here's the code I'm using... p, h1, h2, h3 { -webkit-hyphens: manual !important; -moz-hyphens: manual !important; -ms-hyphens: manual !important; hyphens: manual !important; } .design-layout-poster .image-card-wrapper { visibility: hidden; opacity: zero; } .design-layout-poster:hover .image-card-wrapper { visibility: visible; opacity: 1; } .image-block .image-linked:before { content: "";width: 100%;height: 100%;position: absolute;z-index: 1;top: 0;left: 0; opacity: .6;background:; } .image-block .image-linked:hover:before {background: white;opacity: .3;transition: all .2s ease-in-out; }
  10. I made custom buttons in Photoshop for my webpage. When you press them I want another image to pop up, and not a new page. The enable Lightbox feature only seems to put the button image in a lightbox. I've gone into Clickthrough and selected a file I want to use, but pressing my custom button only goes to a new page where that image file is. Is there some CSS code that would help me? Thanks in advance
  11. Site URL: https://blueberry-moose-azns.squarespace.com hello— I am working with squarespace 7.1 and am looking to create a clickthrough url for the background (full bleed image) on the landing page of the site, in the same way that you would be able for an image block. Seems like the only way possible is to add text (and create a link) or to add a button. I do not want to have text or buttons on the image, but want the image itself to function as the link. Any help on this would be appreciated. thanks.
  12. Site URL: https://www.sebastianortiz.com/music Hi All, I've been trying to add clickthrough urls to some images on my gallery page but it's not working. It looks fine but when you click, it just hovers a text. Here is a screenshot of the editing page. If someone knows what this could be, please let me know. Thank you!
  13. Site URL: https://mwejps3lrkma.squarespace.com Since adding an opacity effect to my Image Gallery Block image clickthrough links, the mouse cursor is going to the default arrow cursor as opposed to the hand/pointer . I've tried the following code to no avail; gallery-grid-item.has-clickthrough:hover { cursor:pointer !important; }
  14. Hello. Im trying to find a way of having a colour overlay appear on the hover of an image within a gallery. I dont want this effect across every single image just certain ones within a gallery. 15. Application: Fine Art Photography Image Collections. I am looking to add both Lightbox and Clickthrough URL (Open Links In New Window) functionality to my Gallery Blocks, Grid Layout in my Avenue Template. Squarespace default is one or the other. How it would work is that once in Lightbox view specific images (indicated in the Image Description "Write here" text area) can open to a new window where a series of related images to the image clicked on will be displayed. Why? … so I can simplify my Gallery Grid Blocks/Lightboxes with less images by moving similar images to separate viewing pages. How to Clickthrough? 1) Make the Image Description "Write here" text a button? (I like this best), 2) Add a small Clickthrough button at the bottom corner of applicable images? … you tell me I'm a designer, photographer not a code guy. I would be looking for code to copy/paste somewhere and someone to walk me through it. My Site: www.KeithMeehanCreative.com, select "Fine Art Photography", select the "In The Mountains” collection. This Gallery Grid Block could be greatly simplified by moving "like images" to several Clickthrough pages leaving one image behind in the main gallery collection to "sell" the look and feel of the shoot. Has anyone done this already? If not is it feasible … easily? Let me know. Thanks. Keith

  18. Hey All, I want to have an image on my website that changes when you hover over it and you can click which sends you to another page on the website. I haven't been able to find this anywhere, maybe I'm just not asking the right question? Here is the code I have so far which works for the hover image change, but I can't figure out how to make it clickable and redirect. "<img src="Original-Image.pmg" onmouseover="this.src='second-image.png'" onmouseout="this.src='Original-Image.png'">" Thanks for your help! Upstart Strategies - Google Chrome 2020-01-07 11-14-38.mp4
  19. Hi everyone and Merry Christmas. I am looking for some code, perhaps for a code-block. I want to make an image change to another image on hover but still have a clickthrough link to another page. Can anyone help me with this? My website is below. https://redsquirrelcreative.uk The page where I would like to implement the code is here. https://redsquirrelcreative.uk/our-projects If you go to this page you will see I found some code to successfully change the image on hover, however I would like it to also click through to another page. Any help would be very much appreciated. Kind regards, Chris Spencer.
  20. Is there any way to prevent the first nav button (which becomes the dropdown menu) from being clickable?
  21. So, I have custom-code on my website to hide banners from every page, except pages we specify. To add a banner to a specific page, I have to use the following code in Page Header Code Injection: <style> #banner-area-wrapper {display: block; !important; } #banner-area-wrapper { background-image: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5d567adbdf02050001a41021/t/5dfb6b77f8effb79c8bae9d3/1576758135654/HP-Excelerator-Banner.svg;) } #banner-area-wrapper { background-position: center; } #banner-area-wrapper { background-repeat: no-repeat; } #banner-area-wrapper { background-size: 100%; } #banner-area-wrapper { background-color: white; } </style> This works great, but the only thing I would like to do is make the banner clickable so it leads to another page and I can't work out what I could put into the code above to make that happen? is it possible? 22. Template: Forte Hi all, Is there some way to have an Index Page that clicks through to a Gallery? Currently I have a bunch of Galleries split between several folders by category, a few which have content that is featured on an Index Page. So far, the only way I have found to navigate between the Index Page and the Galleries is to house them within the Index Page then use an internal Link within the folder to reach it from there. While this does work, the issue is that now that the Gallery is housed under the Index Page, any modifications of what to show on said Index Page requires the reshuffling and relinking of the relevant Galleries. If we wanted to take Links to the end of the earth, we could house every Gallery under the said Index Page, toggling which to show be enabling / disabling them, then populate the folders with Links to each and every Gallery but this makes finding anything in the Editor a nightmare... and if you have multiple Index Pages of which share some content, you are out of luck... 23. Hello, Anyone know if it's possible to have different parts of an image to have clickthrough to different URLS? I have a family tree image and would love to make different people have a clickthrough to a brief summary. Any other ideas to achieve this effect? Thank you!
  24. Hi all, I'm using the Tremont template. Within the gallery page (not Gallery Block), when an image that includes a Clickthrough URL is selected, it opens full-screen with a black background and no visible 'X' to close the image and return to the gallery. It really sucks. Ideally, I would love the clicked image to open with an opaque white background and an X in the top right to close the image. Does anyone know of a solution for this? I would use a gallery block, but I like the mosaic style of the gallery page, so would like to keep that if at all possible. Thanks in advance,
