Actually, it suddenly worked. Cleared the cache to access another site, and it appears to have fixed itself! Hmmm, unless I did something wrong, not sure that naming convention worked - H2 doesn't italicize. The font is Domaine (obviously!). I added a custom font ("FooDisplay-Medium") and applied it to "H1", and it worked. When I then added an additional custom font (FooDisplay-MediumItalic) and applied to "H2", it broke the previous style, and now the H1 is italic. Same font family ("foo"). Two files. Is there a workaround? Has anyone tried this? And I know I could simply add italic to the H2 custom style, but it's not really the same, as the italic font file would display correctly (not that anyone would notice). Say it ain't so. My site is image/gallery-heavy... so that's frustrating to hear. I'm going back to Google Search console to see how much of the page was indexed.

Oh jeez! All this time I figured it was solely connected to whether you had captions turned on or off -- so I never did anything. Plus it doesn't help that it's not also labeled alt text, which threw me. never occurred to me to actually try it. Well, thank you for setting me straight!

Section. Non Linked Page None of the choices (to install a Gallery) allow for alt text... only a description (attached). I realize now that anytime you have Edit Gallery, there's no option for alt text. Only good for single images. And just as it is for regular blog pages... galleries only allow for title and description. I think it's a crazy oversight. As I'm trying to improve SEO, it's a bit frustrating.

Sorry... meant to add 7.1 Also, I meant to word things a lot better(!); should have written galleries. Much of my content are section/galleries on non-blog pages, but as it's now apparent, Squarespace has no (clear) option for alt text here (except for block/image). I don't know how crucial it is to SEO, but I feel like I'm missing out without the ability to add that alt text. Thx!

Does anyone know the code for the simple "Click to copy url" function? Some are fancy and include the follow-up "link copied'. Some sites do it very nicely. I know sharethis/addthis probably have it as an option, but not really a fan of their style. Just curious. Thank you!

@Beyondspace Just seeing this for the first time and very intrigued. My site is image-heavy, and I used to use the classic Fancyapps/Fancybox lightbox, which I loved. The one main benefit that Squarespace doesn't offer was full-size images (esp. on non-blog pages... so much padding) -- and certainly not the ability to zoom in. Anyway, this looks good (though the installation makes me nervous). I'm assuming this is good for any gallery; masonry, strip, grid etc? Thx!
