Accepting all the comments about SquareSpace stepping up to build this, I will say the plugin is really good and I am sure I will be using more than once. I struggle with coding and Michael was on hand to help and get me all sorted. Thank you for a great piece of coding, now just hope my client appreciates the work.

Hi everyone,
I was glad to see there was a dedicated "project" feature on 7.1 to best display my portfolio projects, but I am finding limits in potentially being able to filter projects by category or tags.
For example, I would like to be able to have a category menu bar above my projects where you can select certain project types, such as "graphic design" or "portrait photography" to sort and display the relevant items. 
Would this be difficult to work around? or to custom code? or perhaps I'm just missing something.

Yes, it seems this feature of domain masking is not possible on squarespace.  Even if you have your DNS at Godaddy or third party.   Once you setup the forwarding with masking on godaddy it changes from cname to A Records and then the page is no longer displayed, and squarespace no longer recognizes the domains.

Creedon - to have a separate website page connecting to a subdomain.website.com, you would have to pay for a 2nd subscription plan to start a 2nd website link to the subdomain.website.com is the only way?  Thank you.

I'm trying to duplicate a section to ad it to another page. I can save that specific section thanks to the heart option. But for some reason once saved the layout looks completely different. How this is possible? Can someone help me?

I need this to work on 7.0.
Any thoughts?

v7.0 doesn't have sections like v7.1. I don't see SS addressing this issue in v7.0.
You might want to take a look at Squarespacewebsites Tools Extension Pro to see if it can help you.  I've not used it myself.

Agree, most of these plugins created when users just lost patience.   There is a balance squarespace must weigh between easy to use and many features. 

Do you want the all-new design features of 7.1? The reason I ask is that the 7.1 blog page, where a podcase resides,  does not use Fluid Engine.  The layout options for a 7.1 blog are the same as in 7.0, the classic editor, using spacer blocks, etc. 7.1 Color palettes and Fonts are grouped in site styles and are easier to work with.  However, if you are moving to update your blog page I would experiment with a 7.1 blog page before making a move to it.
I am still using Avenue myself, but have greatly modified my blog pages with CSS Code.

Just chiming in with more dissatisfaction at this (lack of) feature.  This is such a waste of time - like tell me your devs don't value this feature without telling me they don't value this feature.
I literally WASTED HOURS trying to teach my last client who is basically incapable of understanding the back end of Squarespace how to add her repeating events that occur 5 times a week, every week, for the year. I sold her on Squarespace and she LOVES the calendar. Now I am basically her VA...doing it for her. FML
It's also not enough that Squarespace says "we don't monitor these forums" and washes their hands of it. Like put someone onto these forums guys and solve these issues that loyal users and builders are experiencing without tasking them to do your job for you. We are all here trying to figure it out, and you want to make us do more work to provide a case for customer service in order to tell you about your poorly designed feature? That's a no from me dawg.
 

thank you Derrick! I have some more info from our end.. 
Unfortunately, we've had no luck getting this site recognized as secure on any browsers. We were able to identify one IP address associated with campyellowjackets.com (198.185.159.144) that shows up on a DNS blacklist (likely reported at some point to be scam/spam). It's possible this is causing the issue, but it's hard to say for sure. 

All the necessary DNS records and SSL settings are in place and seem to be consistent with other live sites hosted on Squarespace we manage. This issue seems directly related to the campyellowjackets.com domain name.   Would contacting Squarespace help to help associate that domain name with different IP addresses that have not been flagged?   The email address we registered the domain with (domains@kampgrizzly.com) is not listed on any blacklist that I can find. I don't believe it's related to the issue.  

I also use Cloudflare for a few sites, but for the sake of ease of editing records, and being able to manage domains purchased from multiple registrars on a single dashboard.

With crypto becoming more widely held by people, especially since Paypal now support it - I would hope Squarespace doesn't get left behind. As prices reach new highs people will be looking to spend it. Squarespace websites are missing out entirely on this.

Why is this not a feature?  Seems Auto responce from a form would be very common request.

Yep If you would try my https://www.squarewebsites.org/squarespace-plugins/background-videos-utils and enable  my simple iframes - it will respect the quality settings (you may set in backgrounds itself, use values accordingly, its ?quality=1080p for Vimeo, Youtube stopped support from query and uses adaptive stream now it seems, you were able to do ?vq=hd1080 before). SS realisation will ignore this, but plugin will try to use. 

I am creating a website to act as a 'Yelp' or 'Rate My Professor' for online fitness coaches. I have a form people can fill out to rate a coach they have worked with. 
Currently, this form emails me the submission and populates a google sheet. When a form is submitted, is there a way to automatically add the review to the page as content within the blog? For example, could I embed content from a google sheet? Or at least use the data to populate the ratings chart at the top of the page? 
 
Similarly, I have a page where individuals can submit a form to add a page for a coach. Is there a way to create a new blog post from a template when a form is submitted? Using the fields from the form submission?
 

I don't know of any way to create and publish a new blog based on a submission (probably a bad idea, you would undoubtedly want to vet information before publishing).
Adding a table based on the ratings and pushing that directly to your website can be achieved with this plugin:

You could even set it up to update an average score as well.
