Organising/ filter projects by category/tag

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://www.copperhead.media/portfolio

Hi everyone,

I was glad to see there was a dedicated "project" feature on 7.1 to best display my portfolio projects, but I am finding limits in potentially being able to filter projects by category or tags.

For example, I would like to be able to have a category menu bar above my projects where you can select certain project types, such as "graphic design" or "portrait photography" to sort and display the relevant items.

Would this be difficult to work around? or to custom code? or perhaps I'm just missing something.

Thanks!

Try this Filter Plugin. You can create filter features, support both Gallery Page, Portfolio Page, Blog Page, Product Page, Summary Blocks.

You can also use it to add search, sorf by Price/Alphabetically,...

This is why Squarespace is such a useless platform. Im moving all of my clients off SS once they all expire. Its 2022 and basic UI / UX is always overlooked, but our hands are tied to either use their limited templates or start from scratch which most clients that I use SS for cannot afford. If they could I would put them on Wordpress or anything other than Squarespace.

No, we don't need to pay $70 for a plugin, Squarespace needs to add to their service such a essential feature like a filter in a portfolio page. Lot of people with the same needs and the only answers I found are external plugins offers.

Come on Squarespace!

I AGREE! Come on! I already paid more than £200 and I have to pay $70 do add something that is THE BASIC of a portfolio??? Seems like a scam to me. I'm speechless

Accepting all the comments about SquareSpace stepping up to build this, I will say the plugin is really good and I am sure I will be using more than once. I struggle with coding and Michael was on hand to help and get me all sorted. Thank you for a great piece of coding, now just hope my client appreciates the work.
