I would love to hear if you use Scheduling in an unconventional way. I use it for business and personal, but the personal is what is a bit different. My husband has CTE which mimics Alzheimer's at times (especially when he's sick or stressed), and he is starting to have short-term memory issues. We are all in with Apple devices, and I have all the calendars shared with him. He gets frustrated when trying to check the calendars since I have so many and often will just not look and leaves me double-booked. I fixed it with Scheduling this past week, and I don't know why I didn't think about it before.
I created a private booking link for him, and instead of checking all the calendars, he just looks to see if whatever day and time he's needing works. He knows that if it lets him book it, then he's good to go. Instead of putting his name in (since he's the only one with the link), he puts in the name of the appointment and his email, so he gets a reminder. That's all he has to do, and I handle the rest. He's used it twice today and was super happy it was so easy. (The reason I didn't do a custom form was to cut down on the steps needed to book).
For example, we have the lawn guy coming on the 13th, so when he was booking that, he said okay, Monday the 13th has spots. Then he checked the time of 8 am and saw it was available. Once he picks that, he puts Lawn Guy as the first and last name and confirms it.
I just thought that I would share my unconventional use and see if anyone else did things differently.

Looks like you figured it out with a drop-down.
@chloewoodnis You can use a custom form to accomplish what you're looking for more than likely.

This is probably not helpful, but it's not just Squarespace. I've run into it on a few other sites on Wix as well as a customer and a designer.

You can adjust it by playing around with the code height and width. I think the width is around 1400px from what I remember.

This is all a little concerning - Google Workspace Support refers me back to Wix, and Wix is an automated chat function.
I've already paid for my Squarespace package but this is definitely a concern, I have 7-8 active emails and tonnes of data on them.
I have been on Wix, but haven't had their email service but if it's similar to other reseller agreements, you should be okay. I know that in the past when I have moved from Squarespace hosted to Google hosted it was a matter of cancelling and then setting up billing with Google directly. I didn't lose anything in the process and there were no interruptions.
HOWEVER, that is just my experience in general. Wix does offer a call back. When you are in your help chat in your dashboard type in CALL BACK until you get a popup that asks what you need to chat about and then pick Mailboxes and follow the prompts. You should be able to either request a callback or schedule a callback.
They are understaffed and if the call center doesn't have people in your language available the request callback feature won't appear. If that happens just try again later and it should pop up.
Data is retained on Google Workspace servers for 180 days according to Google's policy. You would need to set up billing directly with Google or another retailer before that 180 days expired.

Do you have any other possible solutions? There seems to be lots of plugins for WordPress but I can't find much for SquarespaceI don't have a PDF library type example, but this might give you an idea. It's for Airtable and a book tracker database, which could easily be converted for PDF storage. You can do the exact same thing in Notion.

If you are familiar with Google (which most are) you could build out a library with Google Drive, Sheets, et cetera and maybe link to a button that takes them to a searchable database.

Contacts that are imported do not go through the automations. I just chatted with support about this last night.

The link was actually pointing to my secondary site on a different platform. I was in the middle of a revamp. You can achieve the same type of look by creating a Google form and embedding it onto a Squarespace page. You can also use something like Airtable and embed the form to get a whole form look.

@Cloovercam Ignore that last comment about the section. I just checked it on my laptop and it's working as expected I think.
There's one spot where it hung up when clicking a button but that was my connection I think.
