    Thank you for the tip, I'd love to use it, but I don't know how to get it to share the specific url of each blog post. So far, it proposes to share the website's url on every blog page, but not the specific page it's displayed on. Could you walk me through how you set it up?

    The code on the left needs to go into the Post Blog Item Code Injection section of your blog settings. Click on the blog page, then the gear icon, then advanced, then the post blog item code section.

    The code on the right needs to go under Design, Custom CSS.

  2. I use it for everything since it integrates so well with Apple Calendar. I'm married to a SWAT officer whose schedule changes all the time so I have his calendar synced since I normally don't take appointments when he's got something going on, just in case (we're working on one car at the moment due to his truck being a massive gas expense). I also have a son still at home so his calendar is synced and then all mine are as well. I love the face that I can use it for the business and for personal. If I have someone that wants to meet for coffee I send them the secret personal scheduling link and we no longer have to play the 'when works for you' game.

    Templates

    It used to be that there would be base templates that you could switch in and out, no more - it seems they are all one in the same. If there was a simple template you liked from the old days - good luck. I wanted to create a blog where the preview images don't show on the blog, but of course still want on social networks - couldn't find how to do it.

    The 7.0 platform still works this way. 7.1 is the one where you don't have a template per se since they all support the same features. If you want to see if a template  you liked before is still available you can look at the templates and scroll down to the bottom and there will a line that says something along the lines of looking for an older version of Squarespace. If you click there you will find the 7.0 version templates that you can change if needed. Just know that there is no way to transfer a build from 7.0 to 7.1 when and if you do so. It's a completely new build to change at this point.  Might be an option in the future, but not at the moment.

    Thank you!

    That makes it better!

    However, is there any way of adding borders to the cells of the drop down menu?

    I don't have borders but this is what I  have in CSS to do a gradient with rounded edges.

    /*gradient folders*/
    .header-nav-folder-content{background:linear-gradient(to bottom, #000000,#696969) }

    /*rounded dropdowns*/
    .header-nav-folder-content{border-radius:15px}

    My site is https://queenoftaboo.squarespace.com if you want to have a look at it.

    Thank you for this tuanphan but I don't think it's possible to get an iframe from Notion. You can just get shareable / public page URL, which I've tried to embed in my Squarespace website and it didn't work. I got the error you see below.

    Have you actually embedded a Notion page on a Squarespace site before and, if you have, could you provide any more specific guidance please? Thank you!

    I know this is an old thread but thought I would share what I found anyway. THere's a site called Embed Notion that can be found  HERE that allows you to embed Notion pages. There's a free version and a paid version. Static pages will work well with the free version, but if  you want to do something more dynamic you'll have to go with the paid version. I was looking at using Notion as a forum of sorts and it's a pain in the butt to update the code all the time so would have to do paid if I went that route.

    I think the website looks great. My only suggestion would be to consider adding an arrow or a scroll-down prompt on the homepage if there is important info you want people to see. On desktop, I wouldn't have known intuitively to scroll down- I would have assumed there wasn't content under the "premium sound libraries" button and instead gone straight to the nav.

    @HHR This would be my suggestion too. Other than that it looks great!

    So I tried that just now and it still persists but if its of any help it appears to only happen on chrome for me, not firefox. I'm now thoroughly confused.

    Me too. I checked in and out of full screen just now on Safari and Chrome on two iPads (11 inch and 12.9 inch) an iPhone 13 and 12 and my MBP and not seeing any buffering anywhere. I wonder if it's an Apple vs Windows issue and iPhone vs Android issue.

    @tuanphanits apparent on every page on mobile. if you zoom on a page it will reveal the actual dimensions of the website, leaving extra space on the right side of every block

    The website is fine on the latest version of safari on iPhone. I looked at it on mobile view and then requested desktop view from my phone and neither one are showing what you are concerned with. Can I ask what phone you are looking at it on? It may be an issue of the platform/browser you are using.

  9. I'm not currently using Campaigns for my newsletter (I'm using Flodesk) but this will work for campaigns as well. You'll want to create a new page on your site and build out a landing page that way and then share that link. I have my page in the not listed section so it's not showing up as a duplicate on my website since I have signup in the footer. If you want to see what it look like you can go here: https://www.queenoftaboo.com/newsletter-signup

    This also allows traffic to go straight to your website instead of redirect from somewhere else which helps in your visibility and analytics I believe.

    If you are trying to engage your audience, I encourage you to look at alternative design options in preference to anything that blinks or flashes. If not used properly, you could alienate the very people you want to attract. It can also be a problem for users with disabilities and is frowned upon by several accessibility standards.

    I have epilepsy and while not all flashing lights will trigger a seizure they will trigger a migraine most of the time and I always share sites that cause a reaction to my disability groups so people have a heads up.

    I have been doing some experimenting with email campaigns as well as creating lists. I created my list of subscribers by manually importing them via csv

    However, I noticed that, even after I removed my mailing list, I still have a list of subscribers and I am unable to remove them.

    image.png.53715d84ff6f3f3d747a76414187aad2.png

    Is there anything I can do to completely remove them. The contacts I have gathered are ones I won't be using going forward.

    I asked the same thing quite a ways back and at that time there was no way to remove them completely. GDPR and Privacy issues were brought up in that older thread, but so far haven't heard anything else on it.

    It won't interfere with anything as long as they are unsubscribed. It annoying as all get out, but not a huge issue in the overall scheme of things for most.

    Hi all - I have been building a nice email mailing list for my site, and have a growing and successful newsletter.  I am using the Squarespace mailing list feature, and I have a couple of questions:

    1. Is there a way to (automatically) create a newsletter archive?  I want people to be able to read back issues before they subscribe.
    2. or Is there a way to automatically cross post the content from my newsletters into my blog.

    I suspect I am starting to reach the limitations of the Squarespace email engine - and I may need to move across to a third party (mailchimp?   mailerlite?) - if thats the case, are there any recommendations or guides to integrating an external tool to my Squarespace site.

    Thanks in advance....

    I don't personally use Campaigns (I'm using Flodesk for now), but I have seen where on other email providers that don't have the archive feature,  people have created a page in their website and added the links (manually) for each newsletter sent and then put something like Newsletter Archive in the footer for people to access.

  13. I think that it looks good. Not sure if you have changed anything in the few days since your post, but at least now it looks amazing. The only thing I would change is where you have the blog titled Forum in the navigation bar. When I think forum I think something like this one.

    Malcolm,

    Since you asked...the messages are somewhat mixed:

    • Southern Cross Investments
    • A long list of personal coaching topics (many of your competitors focus on just one or two of these)
    • A mastermind group that seems to be more about leadership growth and sales
    • Free retreat at a Christian community, serving organic food
    • A financial status statement on the retreat page
    • Lots of high-quality information about John Maxwell

    Bottom line: what do you do? Why choose you, over many others? If you can answer those questions clearly on your home page, that would be a good start. Testimonials will also help a lot.

    I agree with @davemillman on this one. With the investment being so prominent I though immediately of an investment firm and not anything else that is going on with the site. It lacks a cohesive focus.

  15. I started out on 7.1 and this weekend I rebuilt my entire site in 7.0 so I have it ready to go before next billing cycle so I can go through the steps of switching everything over. I don't mind doing it and my site looks better for it, BUT the reason why I rebuilt is because 7.1 is missing share buttons on the blog. It really is odd that they left this off at launch. I thought they would work because I saw the settings before I built out the blog page. 😞
