    Hi all,

    First time poster, long time user 🙂

    I am working on making my newsletter onboarding sequence awesome. I have three different lists that someone could join.

    • Reader Group 1
    • Reader Group 2
    • Everyone

    What I'd like to do is have one automation sequence that starts based on where you signed up. Example: Reader Group 1 gets an automation welcoming to Reader Group 1 with specifics around Reader Group 1.

    After the first email or two, I'd like to move the subscriber to Everyone and have the next emails trigger from the Everyone list. The Everyone list automations are for, well, everyone and include things like "getting to know me" emails. I was thinking having these emails as automations from one list instead of duplicate emails for different lists would be the best way to go but I'm open to ideas.

    Here's the flow I'm trying to achieve:

    • Reader signs up for Reader Group 1 newsletter
      • System sends the "Confirm Subscription" email
      • User confirms
      • System sends the "Welcome to Reader Group 1" email automated email associated to Mailing List = Reader Group 1
    • I see the reader views the email (yay!) and move them to the Everyone list (with appropriate tagging)
      • System sends the "Hi, I'm Tim" automated email for the Everyone list
      • 7 days later, System sends the "More about Tim" automated email for the Everyone list
      • etc...

    I hope this all makes sense. If someone else is doing something like this with the Squarespace email system, I'd appreciate it if you let me know how you're doing that.

    Thanks!

    Tim

    Unfortunately the automations in Campaigns aren't that advanced yet. I have a similar workflow with my readers and I'm using Flodesk until the Campaigns feature is up to par on Squarespace. Fingers crossed it will get some love in 2023.

    How do we add the ability for readers to comment on blogs? I have looked to see where I can enable comments being added, but do not see anything that shows where to add or enable this functionality.

    You can turn on comments by going to Settings - Blogging - Comment Settings

    Hi all,

    When someone signs up for me on my website. I do not get an email. No one can contact me. I want to see what email is being used.

    Did you set the contact email when you set up the form? It's easy to miss.

    When you're setting up the form it's under storage and then Email.

    Hi guys, i am trying to figure out how to download a third party app or is squarespace allows somehow for customers to upload a file.  I have a print shop and i want them to be able to upload the sticker file they want printed, so they can choose their quantity and size like ive seen on many other sites.  one example is www.stickerfritz.com   thanks in advance!!

    Consider donating to keep it available for all. They put a lot of work into it.

    OMG I love that image on the home page!

    I would remove the morphing from it though. As an accessability issues it may cause issues. I don't have any visual triggers but it made me kind of seasick. Same with the employment page image.

    Also you need a copyright line in the footer.

    Hello. Sorry, these happened because unusual activity and server just had no space. Will be resolving that. This project will be stopped or will be migrated to subscription service in future.

    Make sure to keep us updated if you go subscription. This is one of the few plugins that I would seriously steer clients towards even on a subscription model.

    Hi There,

    I have made a gallery block, but as I have an off number of logos in it, I can't choose an option to have them stacked easily.  By default, the gallery looks like this:

    image.thumb.jpeg.7069ac7caa509d7d6103b6bbc31cb807.jpeg

    My question is, how do I get the second row to sit like this below (centred underneath the top row):

    image.thumb.jpeg.eb7ee5d2e21bfbb465da6566e9226abe.jpeg

    I am a bit stumped.

    A lot of my client's clients will be viewing the website in the workplace on desktop.  So I am wanting to achieve this for desktop, the default would be fine for tablet and mobile.

    Best regards,

    Bookie

    Add this to the CSS section of the site.

    // Center Last Images - Grid Gallery Block //

    .sqs-gallery-block-grid .sqs-gallery-design-grid {
      flex-wrap: wrap !important;
      display: flex !important;
      justify-content: center !important;
    }

    Hello to all.  I'm new to the forum and hope that I might find a solution to my question.  In the section following the header can an image in the section be made to "bleed" into the header as background for the header as well?   or am I mistaken that the header is unique in that no elements of a section can also be part of the header?  Thank you.

    In the header settings you can change it to Dynamic which will allow what you are looking for. Just keep an eye on the colors chosen for the section as that will determine the font colors in the navigation.

    I've uploaded audio via the audio block. Trying to figure out how to set it to autoplay upon page load.

    Here is my website https://bellhop-final.squarespace.com/

    pass:demo

    At the moment, the audio block controls are positioned at the bottom left on hero section.

    thank you

    The music is beautiful BUT it's an accessibility nightmare. People who use screen reader and have to listen to the site to navigate will have difficulty and most will just leave the site. I personally have an auditory processing disorder and never know what sounds will send me into a fight or flight mode. I rarely stay on a website that either auto plays audio or video. (I have other medical issues that relate to video including triggering seizures).

    Just something to think about.

    I want to move my 7.0 version site to the 7.1 version. I started a new Website and once I click "edit" the Tutorial poops up and tells me about the new features. Once I click continue to get to the tutorial (with 1 -5 steps) I get stuck. The problem is that I can't click anything - nothing is responsive anymore. Even when I click back on the browser the tutorial stays as a layer in front of the website editor...

    Anyone a clue how to fix this? 😕

    Trying clearing your browser cache and trying again. It doesn't solve everything but it helps most times.

    I'm looking for a way to allow users to save their form progress and come back to the form. Is this possible?

    In addition, I'd love to be able to email users who don't complete their form.

    I'm not sure if there is a plugin out there somewhere, but as far as I know it's not doable with a standard SQSP form. In the past what I've done if I need this functionality is embed or use a button to link to a Google form.
