    Hi!

My organization has been using Squarespace's Commerce basic plan for our website and we want to extend our current plan. Is it possible to provide quotation by Squarespace for the extension because our organization's accounting procedure requires it? Thanks!

This is something you need to reach out directly to support for.

You can contact Squarespace Customer Care directly by clicking HERE.

Nope, same exact ones 😞 Also, they are both version 7.1 sites, but the way to access "Custom CSS" is different? On my client's site, it's accessed through Design, but on my new site I created today, it's accessed through "Website", which takes me to the "Pages" tab, or what used to be called "pages", then I have to scroll all the way down and click "Website tools", and THEN "Custom CSS." So, I'm wondering if they changed something.

You're not going crazy on the location. Some have it and some don't.

That is so strange. You might have to reach out to support on the not loading thing.

Exactly my first thought! I logged into the website where I was allowed to upload custom fonts, and it allowed me to select font files. So I logged back into my new site, and still, can't select those same font files. So I tried a different browser, and same issue! It's driving me insaneeee. Think I'm gonna try clearing my cache next, but with a different browser having the same issue, I'm thinking it's more a squarespace issue than something on my end, unfortunately.

Are the font file types different by any chance than the ones you were able to upload previously?

So, I created a different squarespace 7.1 site about 2 weeks ago for a client and uploaded several custom fonts. Today, I started a new site and it's not allowing me to upload fonts into my custom files. It still says "Upload images or fonts", it just won't allow me to select any font files. What do I dooooo?

I know this sounds odd, but try clearing your cache and/or using a different browser and trying again. That is always the first try when having issues. Also, make sure the new fonts are compatible and file types that allowed to be uploaded.

    Hi there,

I have recently set up and published my website but am struggling to find it!  I was wondering if anyone has experience of this?

I also see a dark grey 3D box in the search engine when in the site - see screen shot

    Thanks in advance 🙂 ]

Looks like you're talking about the favicon/browser icon. Like @paul2009 mentioned it looks fine on my end as well.

    Thanks,

Maybe thumbnail image was the wrong word. I just want an actual logo to appear in Google next to my site, as opposed to the squarespace box, see attched

Oh! You don’t need business for that. You just need to add a favicon to your site. It may take a bit to index on google but it will eventually.

  7. As far as I know, you can’t transfer the acuity account to the 7.1 account. If somebody sees this and knows how to do it, please add the info.

What I did when I moved over to 7.1 was when the site was done I went ahead and clicked on the Scheduling tab on the new site which will start a new trial. I copied everything over and then I went in and changed the scheduling, link custom URLs on the old account to something random , and changed the random ones on the new account to what I needed them to be with the custom URLs.

It's important that you have the right URLs on the active Scheduling account before you delete the old site if you're going to. I did not do that, and it was a headache to fix.

    Hi Orla

Under GDPR you have to be able to completely delete a user's / customer's personal information if requested to do so. It's captured under the "right to erasure" or commonly called "the right to be forgotten".

Currently, Squarespace allows you to remove a user from a mailing list (so you would no longer send them campaigns), but you cannot delete that user from your profile.

This can't possibly be GDPR compliant so I have had to find an alternative solution to Squarespace email lists and campaign.

I am dealing with this right now and it's a nightmare.

People visiting my site can sign-up to receive email updates etc.  I have had several people tell me that they have signed up but I cannot find where the information goes.  I have not received any emails from Squarespace giving me the information.  I don't know what to do.  it seems impossible to get help.  I mean what am I paying $192 a year for.   I am very frustrated.  My website is modernancientmysticism.com

When you first click into your site and have the menus on the left-hand side you should see Contacts. Subscriber and purchaser information goes there. If you connected Google Sheets to the form when you created it you will be able to see everything in your Google Drive account. Here's a help article about managing all that.

I want to +1 the need for recurring events -- Not only for ease of workload, but also for SEO purposes. When you keep duplicating past events, google sees those duplicate pages over and over again and flags them as duplicate content - even though it's a monthly event.

That said, if anyone has a way around this duplicate content issue - please let me know! My client is having a tough time with this.

Thank you for sharing the SEO part. I didn't know that they would be flagged as duplicate content and dinged.

hi everyone, I hope someone can help with this...

I would like to have two "shop" pages on my website, one would be the main shop and the second one an outlet. I don't want the two to overlap - so item on the outlet are not in the shop and VV. They would ideally be identical.. just different products

I have tried to add a store page by using the "+" button but it just loads endlessly.

    Any advice?

    thanks

If you're having trouble try clearing your cache and then adding again. You can have either two separate stores and show them on separate pages or you can do one store and use categories and summaries to show them. It may be more work two do two store pages but it guarantees there is no accidental overlap.
