  1. Site: https://star-disc-zbx6.squarespace.com/ I initially designed this site a few years back and since then my client has been making edits. Now the home page appears to be missing some background colours (including missing "Register a business" button colour, the "news" background colour and the footer section colour). Regardless of what I do to reconfigure the colours within styles, nothing changes. I think there's some code affecting everything, but I can't find what the problem might be. Any ideas?
  2. Okay tuanphan, I'm keen to look at resolving the issue I'm having with the header image of the website I'm designing. As stated in my first post, I'd like to either set up the banner so that the image constrains to the width of the site but I'm not sure how to go about that from a coding perspective. See my original post. At this point, I'm just really wanting to know what the best approach would be to allow the graphics in the image to be legible regardless of screen size. If I should repost this somewhere else, feel free just to let me know.
  3. Hi, no I haven't. But for now, I'm happy to park it until I resolve a few other issues. If you can, I wonder if you can help with a problem I'm having with my footer text. For some reason, I believe I've inserted some code somewhere that appears to be affecting the text (some of it is black, when I want all white). I can't seem to find which bit of code is affecting my footer. I've tried inserting some code to convert the yui blocks, but that doesn't seem to have resolved it. Sorry, coding isn't my strength. Not sure if you can help with this, but let me know either way. The site is http://www.visitnewport.com.au/
  4. Site URL: http://www.visitnewport.com.au I've created a main banner image for the site I've designed. However, when the window/screen is resized I would like the text elements (within coloured triangles) to not disappear as they do currently. To achieve this, I figure I can place 3 images on top of each other; one for the image/collage; one for the bottom left triangle and one for the top right triangle. In this way, the triangles could snap to the boundary/margin. However, I'm lost in terms of coding all this so that it will work when the screen is resized. Alternatively, is it better just to create a number of different banner images to snap to various break points? I have an entirely separate screen for mobile, which is working perfectly fine, so I don't need to rethink that element of the site. Any thoughts on code for achieving this would be appreciated. Screengrabs attached. Thanks.
  5. Thanks for the feedback Paul. The product/store page is fairly rigid so the approach to use this as a solution may come down to my client's preference. But thanks for providing this info. I'll do some experimenting!
  6. I'm no guru at CSS but I'd try this (from an earlier forum post): .header-nav-folder-content { background: transparent !important; } Complete post here if you'd like to read:
  7. Site URL: http://www.not-yet-established.com I'm looking into building a collection/directory containing upwards of 30+ classified pages for a variety of businesses, ranged by category, and having them stored on one page (screengrabs of the lead page and classified pages I would like to build are attached). Users could collapse/expand the listings based on categories selected. I'm curious to know: (1) If I build these using the blog feature I can set each up by category, but then I'm confused about setting up a lead/landing page to house everything and whether a blog is really the right mechanism for this type of directory; (2) The commerce/store feature of Squarespace works perfectly for what I want to achieve. I could setup classifieds using this feature and then hide/delete pricing and "add to cart" buttons. While this works, am I silly to work this way? I'm concerned that the commerce pages weren't built for this purpose and might somehow be limiting, plus this would also push my site into a commerce payment bracket that might be unnecessary. (3) I'm aware of third party plugins like Community Box but my client is unlikely to want an ongoing fee for services such as this, so I'd prefer an upfront setup cost, if any at all. However, I'm also disappointed that Squarespace doesn't offer a solution for directory style pages. Any advice about best ways of working are appreciated.
  8. Hi there, On my store page I'm keen to have my product price updated to a total based on the quantity selected. For example, when a customer selects a quantity of 2, I'd like the $10 price to change to a total of $20. To be clear, I'm not looking for this total to be a total of all combined products that have been selected (this is what the shopping cart is for), I would simply like the product price to be reflective of the total selected for each individual product.
