    Meeeee got a reaction from RahRah in Squarespace 7.1: is there a way to duplicate portfolio collection?
    Why is it still, in 2023 when we have gone past our own solar system, not possible to duplicate portfolio pages in Squarespace.  Is it some kind of cruel joke?  Because if you could, wouldn't it be easy to add them to different member areas, instead of having to rebuild, or at best "favorite" them as some clunky work-around?

    I'm just sayin -- it's 2023.  Cloning portfolio pages to reuse is literally low hanging fruit of feature updates.

    Just throwing in my agreement that Portfolios could benefit from two features:
    1) The ability to duplicate a portfolio (to maintain styling etc. when adding a new portfolio)
    2) The ability to add pagination at say 10, 40, 100 items to exceed the 40-item limit.

    You can click a Project > Then click an Arrow on top right (or top left) of screen > Squarespace will open new tab > Look at browser address bar, you will see real project url

    I wanted to continue to update this as it seems I'm not the only one with this issue.  I came across the "auto" aspect ratio in 7.1 when doing a product summary block, which is fantastic.  I'm not sure why it can't be included in default options, because when you then click on the image itself, it has the default setting, which looks not great.

    @paul2009 would your wish list work alongside the cart?  I didn't get that sense in the samples..thanks!
    I'm actually also shocked it's not within SS's native commerce settings world (for mid-enterprise customers especially!)  Shopify does this really well, clean and gives lots of options in the backend to get data and lists.

    Did anyone find a solution to this search icon feature?  plugin maybe?  It's pretty important, and I can't believe that mid-enterprise sort of ecommerce companies wouldn't have it.  And frankly it's pretty standard across every other single website.

    Okay -- so when I changed the height to width, that actually seems to help my cause.  Not perfect, but pretty close.
    .ProductItem-gallery-slides-item-image { width: auto !important; height: 100% !important; top: 0 !important; left: 0 !important; } .ProductItem-gallery-slides-item.selected.going-next.loaded { padding-bottom: 50% !important; }

    @tuanphan that didn't work.  But got me close enough to work it out on my own in under 5 hours!  🙂And to be honest, this feels WAY WAY better on my photography site because now it's almost like auto size and when I have medium format images, it shows the 4:3 aspect ratio properly. If a single product image ONLY.
    So this is what works to take your single product image from whatever it's forced to be, to allow for portrait or vertical images as well.  This was put in CSS.
    It's a bummer because it doesn't stretch the ProductItem-Summary over towards it, so there is a big gap in the space.  I guess you could align?
    *disclaimer, the bad part of this is that the second image, if different aspect ratio by width or height, shows up right behind.  I guess it was too good to be that easy! Guess with Squarespace you can only use one camera or film size.

    But feels good if just one image! 😣

    .ProductItem-gallery-slides-item-image { width: auto !important; height: 100% !important; top: 0 !important; } I'm curious if there is a "hide" the nth from the slides-item-image until clicked css that could happen, cause clearly, unless same aspect ratio, this isn't great for multiple images.

    Just as an addition to @paul2009's  response -- the Item Product page can be expanded using Squarewebsites Admin Ui Tweak.  I'm happy he added that because this was a big problem for me.  Just click the upper right and expand the popup window (you see it in the screenshot above).

    I love answering my own questions by finding bits of CSS code and tying them together.  Especially when it works (it mostly doesn't!) Either way it's good way to spend quarantime.  This seems to be right @tuanphan, is it though?! 🙂
    @media screen and (max-width:767px) {.ProductItem-relatedProducts .list-grid {grid-template-columns: repeat(2,minmax(0,2fr)) !important; display: grid; grid-column-gap:3px; grid-row-gap: 1px; } }

    Add to Home > Design > custom CSS
    /* related product 3 items */ .ProductItem-relatedProducts .list-grid .grid-item:nth-child(n+4) { display: none; }

    To translate Squarespace commerce features you'll need a third party paid add-on called Weglot. This can translate all the on-page content and is the only product that I'm aware of that can translate the checkout page. This is because Squarespace lock the checkout page to prevent code, but Weglot changes your  DNS records to allow them to translate the site content, including the Squarespace checkout.
    I've provided links to the Weglot website where you can take a look at the features. They also have an article that explains how to integrate Weglot with Squarespace.
    Note however you translate the website content, there are fixed elements in order notification emails that cannot be translated.

    Squarespace recently fixed a bug where products on disabled Products Pages could be added to the cart – previously, if you had a product on a disabled Products Page shared elsewhere on your site (in a Product Block or Summary Block, or linked directly to the URL), the product could be purchased. If you're noticing products can no longer be purchased, double-check that the Products Page is enabled (you can move it to your Not Linked Pages to keep it from appearing in your navigation.
