iridescentmatters Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Site URL: https://luhmendarc.com i have registered my domain at squarespace and set up a custom email adress with g suite: mail@... i can send and receive emails with this address. however, when i try to verify the email address when setting up a sender profile, squarespace says that the email with the verification code has been sent, but i don't receive any mail - don't find it in the spam or elsewhere... anybody knows hot to solve this problem?
iridescentmatters Posted December 27, 2020 Author Posted December 27, 2020 oh, i found the solution - actually quite easy. i contacted the squarespace support and they found out that the email address hat been put on a block list. don't know why, but they just took it off and then it worked. so writing to the support might be a solution :) Alexander_Gee 1

I'm receiving other emails to that account but for some reason not receiving this email. I've already sent a message to Squarespace but haven't heard back yet. Anyone have any advice?

danda Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 This is happening to me as well. I have to send our email campaign out ASAP but there's zero help from square space. Have you found the answer to this? Another user said square space had blocked their email and they had to manually unblock them but I'm having trouble finding the chat button. I'm out of options and desperate for any advice. Who would think my to do list for ALL DAY was to figure out why square space can't send a verification code. sayreambrosio Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Reach out to support. At some point, somebody somewhere reported the URL as spam. Could be on social media or an email. This causes it to be blocked. I've ran into on my own domains in the past. They can remove it from the blocked list and you should be able to get the verification code. I can send emails and I can recieve emails but I cannot recieve the verification code from squarespace. Has anyone found a solution to this?? Where do I email support at?? I tried reaching out to customercare@squarespace.com and was notified that their support email is no longer active.

The reason I got was: It looks like your email address was added to a blocklist on our end, which is why you weren’t receiving the sender details verification email. Emails can be added to a blocklist if your provider blocks one of our emails or you mark one as spam. I've removed your address from the blocklist, so you'll receive future messages normally as long as your email provider accepts them.

Great, yet chat *still not available* (doubt it ever will be), and emailing does not give this problem anything close to a topic to choose. So I have no idea someone in the right department will even get it. And please don't tell me whoever gets it will work on it... I might choke from laughing. 😄

I have asked SS support to remove it from the block list. I'm posting here to display how common this problem is and how unaccountable SS is.
jaejae1 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I have the same issue as all on this thread. I emailed SQSP support three days ago and still no response. I even got up early to get on chat and after 2 hours got through to someone who couldn't help me as they believed it was a google workspace issue. So frustrating!
JWildsage Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I have had this problem and it took quite a while for squarespace to accept that the porblem was their end. As a temporay fix you can always create an alias email in your Google workspace and use that until your orignial email gets unblocked by squarespace 🙂
