  1. sayreambrosio's post in Can i provide a Newsletter subscribe URL? was marked as the answer
I'm not currently using Campaigns for my newsletter (I'm using Flodesk) but this will work for campaigns as well. You'll want to create a new page on your site and build out a landing page that way and then share that link. I have my page in the not listed section so it's not showing up as a duplicate on my website since I have signup in the footer. If you want to see what it look like you can go here: https://www.queenoftaboo.com/newsletter-signup
This also allows traffic to go straight to your website instead of redirect from somewhere else which helps in your visibility and analytics I believe.
  2. sayreambrosio's post in Created a "new" site for a redesign, but unsure how to transfer the existing Acuity from the old design to the new design was marked as the answer
This is my response for moving from 7.0 to 7.1 but can be done when moving to a new site as well. There isn't a way to automatically transfer Acuity from one site to another.

  3. sayreambrosio's post in Questions on Email Campaigns... was marked as the answer
I don't personally use Campaigns (I'm using Flodesk for now), but I have seen where on other email providers that don't have the archive feature,  people have created a page in their website and added the links (manually) for each newsletter sent and then put something like Newsletter Archive in the footer for people to access.
  4. sayreambrosio's post in Can I create a password for a non-linked page was marked as the answer
For the page you want hover over it in the pages list on the left and you'll see a gear icon. Click on that and go to General. Scroll down on the right until you see Password, it's right under Enable Page. Set a password and save.
It looks like you're doing a course. Have you checked out Members areas? Might be a better solution for ya. Here's info on that. https://www.squarespace.com/ecommerce/membership-sites
  5. sayreambrosio's post in Creating A Landing Page - With No Links To Navigate Away was marked as the answer
Add a code block anywhere on the page just NOT in the footer. Add the code below to the code block and save.
    <style> .header, #footer-sections{ display:none !important; } </style>
  6. sayreambrosio's post in How Can I Remove The 'Blog Post Title X' That Appears After Every Blog Post? was marked as the answer
Becca with @inside_the_square has a great post on how to do this which you can find here: https://insidethesquare.co/squarespace-tutorials/blog-pagination
  7. sayreambrosio's post in What is the standard process to charge clients for Squarespace subscription and hosting etc? was marked as the answer
Everyone does it differently. I don't pay for the client hosting up front. That's on them to take care of. I use Honeybook for all my contract stuff and never have to deal directly with customer credit card info. What I have found most people are okay with is I create the site, add them as a contributor/co-owner after they pay my invoice in full (not before with full permission). Once they are added I walk them through how to purchase their plan and any other add-ons they are purchasing. Once they are settled I transfer the site and leave my self on as a contributor if I am maintaining and remove myself if I'm not.
  8. sayreambrosio's post in canceled subscription, can I undo? was marked as the answer
You can duplicate the cancelled site so you can have access to the old pages. Just keep an eye on it and duplicate as necessary if you still need access. I would suggest looking into a way to export that content though just in case. Never a bad idea to have a content backup.
    Here's a guide on duplication: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039396131-Duplicating-a-site?platform=v6&websiteId=63cbb50a382a9f16d0617b89
  9. sayreambrosio's post in adding attachment box to contact page was marked as the answer
You can use this service. It's what I use and it's great. https://www.squarewebsites.org/blog/squarespace-websites-uploader

  12. sayreambrosio's post in Can you export a .pdf file of the website in draft mode - the client wants to make notes about the website in printed form/doc was marked as the answer
There's a Chrome extension called GoFullPage where you can take snapshots of the entire site. I know you can save individual snapshots as PDF but not sure if there's a combine feature. At the very least you could do that and then combine them all into a PDF and send to the client.

  13. sayreambrosio's post in How can I display two different background images for my home page for desktop and mobile versions? was marked as the answer
This will tell you how to hide that extra banner on mobile https://www.thestyledsquare.com/blog-content/hide-elements-in-mobile-view-in-squarespace
  14. sayreambrosio's post in Using URL's for a blog post was marked as the answer
It looks like the owner of that sight may have embedding blocked on their site which will in turn not let you embed it on yours. As far as I can see the only way to share it is to link to it with a button or a text link within a blog post as a reference item instead of the post itself.
  15. sayreambrosio's post in How to create a 3-for-2 discount code was marked as the answer
Unfortunately, you can't at this time with the discount setup with Squarespace.
  16. sayreambrosio's post in Scheduling was marked as the answer
The scheduler is a separate subscription
  17. sayreambrosio's post in Manually Importing Email Contacts was marked as the answer
Contacts that are imported do not go through the automations. I just chatted with support about this last night.
Here is the help article about automations. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002077567-Sending-automated-campaigns?platform=v6&websiteId=63cbb50a382a9f16d0617b89#toc-why-aren-t-my-automations-sending-
  18. sayreambrosio's post in Connecting a Square Device Account was marked as the answer
Square can be used as a point of sale but not online. They do have a scheduling system if you click into your site and you look in the left-hand column, you should see scheduling in that list when you click on that it automatically starts at 14 day trial.
  19. sayreambrosio's post in Formatting NEWSLETTER / EMAIL BLAST formatting... was marked as the answer
Try Shift + Enter to start a new line if the spacing gets wonky.
  20. sayreambrosio's post in wont let people checkout unless i change to an annual plan was marked as the answer
You need to be on at least a business plan to receive payments through Squarespace. You can embed PayPal buttons and similar from places that provide them but to have it all integrated on Squarespace you will have to move up a tier.
Here is the link to all the current pricing: https://www.squarespace.com/pricing
  21. sayreambrosio's post in Best way to handle publishing full novels on a website? was marked as the answer
Well that makes it easier for sure. You can do the blog post thing and allow reading that way or you can pay for members spaces and make it free. If you do the member thing people will have to sign up and you'll have a record of who has access. Not sure if you want to spend on something if you aren't selling them though.
  22. sayreambrosio's post in Automation sequence from list transfer was marked as the answer
Unfortunately the automations in Campaigns aren't that advanced yet. I have a similar workflow with my readers and I'm using Flodesk until the Campaigns feature is up to par on Squarespace. Fingers crossed it will get some love in 2023.
  23. sayreambrosio's post in Auto-Save Forms was marked as the answer
I'm not sure if there is a plugin out there somewhere, but as far as I know it's not doable with a standard SQSP form. In the past what I've done if I need this functionality is embed or use a button to link to a Google form.
  24. sayreambrosio's post in allowing customers to upload a file for there order? was marked as the answer
The link will take you through everything step by step. I had to read it a few times when I first started using it, but it is all there 🙂
  25. sayreambrosio's post in Wanting to centre second row of gallery - only on desktop was marked as the answer
Add this to the CSS section of the site.
    // Center Last Images - Grid Gallery Block // .sqs-gallery-block-grid .sqs-gallery-design-grid { flex-wrap: wrap !important; display: flex !important; justify-content: center !important; }
