  1. Site URL: http://www.apadc.com Hi All, I'm in the process of migrating our emails from myemma to Squarespace. We've been having a problem with myemma opting people out of getting emails. (I've verified with the members that they didn't opt out themselves.) I've been trying to get as clean a list as possible so I've been asking people to subscribe from the website. Those email addresses are going into a 'default' list. We need to maintain several lists, some of which has names that are already in the 'default' folder. If I add them via a CSV dump, and delete them from the default list, will Squarespace remember that they opted-in? What is best practices for moving people from the default list (which is kind of a dumping ground for everyone) into more specific lists? Thank you and I appreciate any help.   3. I'd like to add a pop up on my website that invites visitors to download a how-to PDF, then, using the email address they enter I'll begin an email drip campaign. I see Squarespace has all the tools I need but I'm not sure the best practices I should use to do this effectively... or maybe I should separate this and use Mailchimp instead? Here's a bullet list of what I want to do: - create a pop up that says, "hey there! sign up and download this helpful resource that'll solve your problems!" - once they add their email address a PDF is sent to them (it's the resource I mentioned in the popup) - In the following weeks/months I'll send a weekly email with more details, offers, testimonials, etc.. also: - Ideally this same email signup form can be used on my website too. That way I can have the offer in a pop up and in the body of some pages. - Can I export email lists that are created within Squarespace? Assuming this is possible and reasonable within Squarespace, how do I best accomplish it? Do I use Mailing List or Newsletter? Should the free PDF be part of a Store and I just create links to it within my popup? Or is it best to do all of this through a third party like Mailchimp? I guess I'm looking for best practices for creating a popup which trades a visitor's email address for a helpful PDF and a number of emails over the next few months.   4. Site URL: https://paulshambroom.com I'm a new user on Squarespace and about start a periodic email newsletter for my fine-art photography and books. I had to choose between Mailchimp and Squarespace and went with the latter because I thought it would be simpler to integrate because my site is on Squarespace. My designer did a little coding on the site but it was basically done with basic template. Now I'm trying to compose may first email blast and I'm kind of shocked at the lack of options for basic things like sizing text and images. Even things like designating test blocks as subheadings. Short of learning how to modify these with code (don;t want to go there), does anyone have advice or thoughts on this? Do we think Squarespace is working on improving these capabilities? I'm also quite surprised by the lack of sophistication available in email list management- no sorting by date joined or name, no reassigning to other lists, etc. Thanks for listening.
  5. Are there any plans to expand the available font packs in email campaigns? I would like to be able to choose fonts individually, the current combinations are very clunky and unattractive and detract from any serious branding in my opinion. Will there be any expanded options in the future?
  6. The automated mail after subscription does not work when I use recaptcha instead of mail verification on news letter form. How can I solve this problem? ※I can send automated campaign after a subscriber joins a mailing list when I use both confirmation email and google reCAPTHA. However, I can't do so only with google reCAPCHA even though a subscriber is on a mailing list.

  8. Hello, I'm looking to simplify my business and plan to move my site over to Squarespace. I would also like to move across my weekly text based email newsletter. The problem is that I have a list of 400,000 subscribers (all double opt in). That's 1.6 million emails a month! (I'm currently with Infusionsoft, but it's overkill -- -- we don't need tagging, and we aren't an ecommerce store -- it's a simple weekly text email broadcast). I've reached out to Squarespace Select, but they've been slow to respond. Questions: Would Squarespace email be able to handle this volume? Does anyone else have any experience with large lists? Anything else I need to know about the Squarespace email platform? Thanks Farmer
  9. Hi, I've spent the better half of the past two weeks building a new site on 7.1 to replace the site that had been running on 7.0. As I published it today and rerouted the domain I realized that I didn't see any way to transfer the existing email campaigns. Is there a way to move the list/automated/existing campaigns across to the new 7.1 site or do I need to explore the mailing list and start over???? Would love advice quickly so I know how to action a solution or get cracking on fixes this obvious gap in moving to 7.1 Cheers
  10. Site URL: https://clarescott.co.uk/ I regularly get notifications via the Squarespace app saying that someone has subscribed to my newsletter but the email is not added to my list. I have storage set up for both Squarespace and Mail Chimp, but the addresses of these subscribers never appear. I am still receiving some subscribers, but quite a few have never materialised. Does anyone have any insight that they could share on this please?
  11. Site URL: https://www.yogaanimalrights.org/ Hello, Crossing my fingers someone has a solution for this. I am sending an automated drip email campaign. Once someone purchases a product they will receive several emails as educational content. However, I am running into the issue of timing. I can select if they should receive the emails immediately, one day later, two days later, etc. but I can't select the time of day. Squarespace said that automated emails will be sent in 24 hour increments. But I'd like to send the following emails in the morning. Most importantly, if some makes a purchase at night, I don't want the following drip emails to always be sent in the middle of the night. Squarespace recommended that I reach out to the forum community for some custom code. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!
  12. When looking at plans and competitors, has Squarespace considered doing away with campaign limit for the $10 plan? MailerLite and Mailchimp do not and 5 campaigns is very limiting.

Hello you smart people out there,I use Mailerlite as my newsletter app. Unfortunatelly, squarespace and mailerlite both send out a confirmation mails.I would like to have a warm, friendly confirmation mail. How I can change the settings of the confirmation space in squarespace? To either be not send out at all or change the wording at least. Very thankful for every idea. And I am using the Brine Template.

After researching SS articles and videos on drip campaigns, I understand there are 2 ways to trigger them: 1. Newsletter sign up 2. Purchase a product on my SS site. That said, I am choosing the product option because I want to save Newsletters for prospective students and customers. I run an online school where students can enroll anytime self-paced. I have 23 email templates with curriculum guidelines that get sent out every Monday automatically from Mailchimp. I would like to leave mailchimp and sign up for SS, but want to make sure I can replicate the auto campaign feature Mailchimp offers. One student would have to purchase a product 5 times to stay enrolled and keep getting the weekly auto emails. In other words, since the SS campaign only spans 5 weeks, students would have to renew on my website every 5 weeks to stay in the email automation loop. Since I have 23 emails - 5 X 5 = 25. That’s close enough to 23. I don’t want to charge my students for this. Is there a way to set up a mock product free and make it appear as if it’s a real product so it activates the 5 auto campaigns?   16. Site URL: https://atlschoolofphoto.com/ Hello, I apologize for the long question, but requires some explanation about how our business is run and the problems we've been facing. We've recently run into some issues and are trying to find creative ways to correct them. I run a photography school, and a part of our website that our students have found helpful is waitlists. Originally, for each class(Product) I had inserted a Form Block at in the "Additional Info" that would connect to a Google Sheet. This has caused us many issues over the years, and I receive at least one "Unsaved block submission" email a day, sometimes as many as 10. My staff and I would have to manually enter the name and email address to the Google Sheet. Then, I was excited to find that Squarespace added Waitlists. We however ran into a few issues there. The waitlists could not be turned on if there was still inventory, so students who may want alerts to the upcoming classes would still have to submit their waitlist notification request through our previous method with the form block. At this point, we have waitlists through Squarespace and through Google Drive. The main issue I ran into recently was that the waitlists were for specific SKUs, not the product as a whole. So, our students were signing up for waitlists for specific days and times of a class. When I would go into the product to delete the SKU (because the class had started or been completed), this would delete all the waitlists sign ups as well. We came to the conclusion that the Squarespace waitlists may not be the best solution for us. So, to consolidate everything, I started to build Mailing Lists as waitlists. Our students could easily sign up for the mailing list for each class and we could notify them once the class returned. However, today, upon building those waitlists, I ran into the limit of 20 mailing lists. I'm looking for creative solutions and any advice anyone might have, thank you in advance!
  17. I'm trying to customize my confirmation email but my Email Campaigns panel doesn't have the Confirmation Page link. When I first refresh the page I can see Confirmation Page under Sender Profiles for a split second before the Free Trial box pops up but then I can't scroll down. I don't think I should have to start a free trail to set up this confirmation page especially since I just want to demo the thing. Has this happened to anyone else?

  19. I am trying to add a feature where a new user enters their email address and they receive an email with an information guide. Also, I would like this email to be added to the list for my email campaigns. Other than creating an email campaign I have not yet been able to figure out how to send the initial response with the material that the customer requested. Below is a screenshot from another website that shows what I am trying to do. After the customer enters their email address they will receive a free guide and then be enrolled in the newsletter.   20. I want to segment my email lists by audience. I have set up a simple 'voting' feature with links. In my email, when they click on a link, I can see what they clicked in Google Analytics because of URL parameters. For example, `http://example.com?audience=beginner`. The Problem It seems that I have no way to trace the email back. In Squarespace I can see the link they clicked, but the parameters are stripped from the link. I thought about maybe including their email in a parameter, but that feature doesn't seem to be included. Advice to solve this problem is greatly appreciated.
  21. Hi, I would like to create different mailing lists to different customers. How can I change and move around (to different lists0 the contacts I've got from website subscribers? If I delete and add them again to a different Mailing list am I going to trigger another automatic email to my subscribers telling them they are now subscribed to my website? Tks
  22. I currently use ConvertKit where I can maintain a single list, but organize it by segments based on interest, interactions I've had with them, etc. Can I do that with SqSpace email marketing or would I need to create a whack of lists with repetitions?

I am trying to import a CSV file into my mailing list - however even though I have very carefully checked the original file and it is clearly in three columns - email, first name, last name, many of the last names are showing as doubled. that is marysmith@gmail.com Mary Smith Smith It seems that the error is created when there is an email which has either numbers in it or an underscore .. eg mary_smith@gmail.com or marysmith14@gmail.com.I have imported the same list into MailChimp with no problem and no errors seen.I have been in touch with Squarespace help but without any luck so far. If anyone has any solution to this or has experienced similar please let me know.

Opt-in for automated welcome email works perfectly if sign up comes from desktop, but Confirm your subscription from no-reply@squarespace.com upon signing up to clients opt-in leads to 404 page when you click 'confirm subscription'.
