  1. I'm trying to exclude one segment of our audience from an email campaign. We sent campaign one to a subgroup that includes some folks from our main list. Now we want to send a different email to the main list but exclude that subgroup. Is this possible with sqsp? Thank you!
  2. Hi I'm planning to build a sequenced email campaign for customers who log on to a members area. Is this possible with Squarespace Email Campaigns? What I mean by a sequenced email campaign is the this. When a customer signs into a members area they will individually recieve a standard email with attachments in the following sequence when from the point of signing on: 1. email immidiatly, 2. email after 4 weeks, 3. email after 8 week, 4. email after 12 weeks and so on.   3. I'm baffled. I'm trying to create a new mailing list to my subscribers, so I can send them mail. I can't see a way to add my verified subscribers to a mailing list. Nor can I figure out a way to delete subscribers who don't want to be on the mailing list. This is frustrating. I'm working with a website to support a grieving family and I don't need this frustration right now.... Does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.
  4. Hey, we noticed 2 unpleasant things, first the newsletter preview text is simply slapped above the mail content when replying or forwarding in Outlook. Secondly, if you don't enter a newsletter preview text (which is not specified as a must anywhere), Squarespace just pastes the first few lines from the mail content in there (this is not the automatically displayed preview text that you have with every mail) and slaps that back above the mail content as well, which looks super unprofessional. When someone forwards our newsletter to colleagues/bosses, it doesn't make a nice impression. Outlook seems to be the only tool so far that displays the text like this (the most used mail tool in the world..), but it can also be found in the HTML code in e.g. gmail, it's just not displayed there. If we send the template without squarespace, this doesn't happen and everything is as it should be and you won't find it in the HTML code either. This can' t be intended this way, can it? Maybe someone can clarify this behavior, or maybe it can even be turned off? Removed? Prevented? Thanks, Eyden
  5. It's really disappointing that we can't add events to our email campaigns. Anyone found a work around that doesn't require retyping or copying and pasting everything by hand before I give up?
  6. Site URL: https://wildbear.org Is there a way to remove the download icon that appears on hover in sent email campaigns? One of the websites I've built is for a nonprofit that runs a lot of children's programs, and the button seems to almost encourage downloads of the images we use and it's off-putting to parents. I realize that people can still screenshot any images they want, but the download icon needs to go. I've spoken with support and while they will submit a request to make removing this an option, it currently isn't one without the use of code. I can't seem to figure out the coding on my own, so any help would be great! I've attached an image to reference the icon appearing on hover:
  7. We manage our site/commerce purchases through Squarespace and manage email communication through ActiveCampaign. Specifically, we sell Lesson Plans BUT we also charge a monthly subscription fee to our customers. I am looking for a way to integrate transaction data made through Stripe/Squarespace to ActiveCampaign. I see there is a way to use Zapier to zap Stripe data to ActiveCampaign, but the issue that we're running into is not being able to differentiate between Lesson Plan purchases and Monthly Subscription fees. We do not want membership fee data integrated to ActiveCampaign, we only need to see the Lesson Plan purchases data in ActiveCampaign. Can you advise on how or if this is possible to do? I've gone through setting up a Zap for this action, but am not seeing a way to pull in this specific data piece from Stripe. Thank you!
  8. Hi all ! So I am creating blast email templates to send to my contact lists, where I choose a specific color for my section background (let's say, green). It looks great and all, but when someone receives it on their phone or tablet, and their dark mode is turned on, then the background color inverts and it looks really bad. Is there a way to force the background color on any devices? Thank you so much for the help!

Wondering about experiences with compatibility between scheduling/email campaigns/other integrations with particular email hosting providers (Apple iCloud+; ProtonMail; RackSpace; other???)   11. Site URL: http://activateagency.co.nz Hi there, I'm wondering if there is currently any way to automate email campaigns to free members area subscribers? Eg. members receive an automatic email thanking them for registering and giving next steps; queue emails to arrive a certain period after they've registered for memberships etc? I know that I can automate to regular mailing list subscribers, but I can't see any way to set up the same automation for those who register as members, which seems like a pretty essential tool that I had honestly assumed would be available based on the combination of regular email automations & members areas. I've just migrated my email marketing from Mailchimp to Squarespace and created a Members Area for an online workshop programme we are delivering. We already have the list of approved members, so I have been able to import them successfully into a mailing list and send them an initial welcome email using a regular email campaign. However, I note that I can not manually add these participants into a membership and give them access to the members area - I have to email them again using the regular email campaign function, and ask them to register for the members area, at which point I'm unable to automate emails to them as free members rather than "customers". Even if they register as members to gain access to the members area and then I manually add them into an additional mailing list, then it's still not possible to automate an email sequence for them because they have to "subscribe" to the mailing list themselves... So it seems like the only way to be able to have the combination of 1. participants in a free membership + 2. automated emails enabled is to make people register for a membership AND then subscribe for an additional mailing list... which somewhat defeats the purpose of automating emails to get people engaged anyway. It would be wonderful to know if anyone has a good way around this, or if not whether this functionality is likely to be forthcoming in future? Thanks in advance!

Hi I am trying to set up an email automation campaign, I currently already have one live for subscribers however when I try to set up a second one for customers, it just schedules as a regular campaign. Per my subscription I should be allowed to set up unlimited automation emails. Can someone help? Thanks!
  13. Hi all, I have set up a discount code to go live tomorrow, however I am wanting this to only go to customers who spend X amount at the store. Is there any way I can do this? I have tried to set up an automated email campaign that will send to a segment of customers who spent X amount from tomorrow, however as there is nobody who is in that list yet (due to it starting tomorrow) it won't allow me to schedule (for some reason Squarespace sees this as a regular email campaign and not an automated). There must be a simpler way? Thanks!

  15. Is it just me or is the email / profiles implementation EXTREMELY limited? The filters for segmentation are based on order dates or amounts but there is no way to segment all customers who bought a specific product, or didn't buy it. I can add tags but only to one profile at a time!!? I cannot filter all my customers who signed up organically, or the ones I imported. Even with the date filters you can only find users 'before' OR 'after' a date - there's no way to filter profiles from BETWEEN two dates. How is anyone actually using this system? It is SO far behind the other dedicated email marketing platforms. I wish I had looked deeper into how ridiculously limited it is before I paid for it.

However, when I enter the sender profile information, it says Unverified domain may be marked as spam. After trying a test (before importing all our member emails), the email does get delivered but indeed goes into the junk mail folder. We use squarespace, our domain is hosted thru godaddy, however, we create our email accounts thru Microsoft 365 Business. What can I do to verify this? Thanks in advance! Donna
  18. Hi - I'm trying to figure out how to take an email submitted through a form (not a newsletter), and have it automatically added to one of my Squarespace mailing lists. So when someone submits a form through my site, it automatically adds them to my mailing list. I can't seem to find an specific option for this within Squarespace settings - has anyone successfully accomplished this? Thanks!

Site URL: http://www.1924.us In transferring a new website from 7.0 to 7.1 we are running into an email marketing issue: We have 20,000 customers who are not subscribed, and 10,000 customers who are, when I try to export it exports all of them and in no way sorts them, so how do we use Squarespace's newsletter management effectively if we cannot accurately import customers to the new site?
  20. Site URL: https://www.moonswordbooks.com/ I post lengthy (1000+ words) articles on my SquareSpace site weekly. I have it linked up to MailChimp so that when something new appears on the SquareSpace site, it gets emailed by MailChimp to the relevant audience, using the RSS feed system. This all works fine. In MailChimp, when you put the merge tage RSSITEM:CONTENT into the email structure, it's supposed to pick up an excerpt of the post, defaulting to 500 words. In fact, it just sends the whole thing, no matter how long. I have searched online and I am not the only person to have this problem, nor have I seen much indication that anyone's found much of a solution. While I work on that end of things, however, it seems to me that maybe I can resolve it on the SquareSpace end. In the Options pane for each post, I can create an excerpt manually. If I could send this through MailChimp, with their "read on..." link going back to the post itself, that'd solve my problems and be much more readable anyway. But MailChimp does not have--or doesn't indicate, anyway, an RSS merge tag that will pick up the Excerpt text from SquareSpace. Can anyone suggest some code which I can substitute for RSSITEM:CONTENT in MailChimp to pick up the Excerpt instead of the total body text? Thank you!

When I publish a blog post, is it possible that an email is automatically sent to my list with a preview of the blog post? Or do I need to send the email campaign manually each time I post a blog article? 2. When someone 'subscribes' to my newsletter, is it possible that the automated email saying 'thanks for subscribing' also has a link and preview of the latest blog article (ie I don't want to send the same blog post each time, I want the latest one)?

  24. Site URL: https://www.koryrussellart.com/ So, I was adding email contacts manually from an art show I just had. I got to 35 emails and it stopped allowing me to add any more. I thought maybe it was a wrong email, so I kept trying with the rest of the list. It will let me add the email, and their name, but then will not let me check the marketing button. Then it won't let me click done, just cancel. What am I doing wrong?
