I’m not receiving any error messages but when I submit using other email addresses I have, they aren’t added to my mailing list and those email addresses don’t receive my subscription automation. I’ve been fiddling with this for a couple of days but I can’t seem to figure out what the problem is. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  2. Hi all ! So I am creating blast email templates to send to my contact lists, where I choose a specific color for my section background (let's say, green). It looks great and all, but when someone receives it on their phone or tablet, and their dark mode is turned on, then the background color inverts and it looks really bad. Is there a way to force the background color on any devices? Thank you so much for the help!
  3. Site URL: https://www.moonswordbooks.com/ I post lengthy (1000+ words) articles on my SquareSpace site weekly. I have it linked up to MailChimp so that when something new appears on the SquareSpace site, it gets emailed by MailChimp to the relevant audience, using the RSS feed system. This all works fine. In MailChimp, when you put the merge tage RSSITEM:CONTENT into the email structure, it's supposed to pick up an excerpt of the post, defaulting to 500 words. In fact, it just sends the whole thing, no matter how long. I have searched online and I am not the only person to have this problem, nor have I seen much indication that anyone's found much of a solution. While I work on that end of things, however, it seems to me that maybe I can resolve it on the SquareSpace end. In the Options pane for each post, I can create an excerpt manually. If I could send this through MailChimp, with their "read on..." link going back to the post itself, that'd solve my problems and be much more readable anyway. But MailChimp does not have--or doesn't indicate, anyway, an RSS merge tag that will pick up the Excerpt text from SquareSpace. Can anyone suggest some code which I can substitute for RSSITEM:CONTENT in MailChimp to pick up the Excerpt instead of the total body text? Thank you!
  4. I would like to remove the inactive subscribers from my Email Campaign mailing list, preferably based upon the length of time since they last opened an email. Is this possible? I can't find a way to view subscriber open rate analytics. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
  5. If i use Facebook Lead Ads to generate sign ups for my newsletter is it possible, maybe with Zapier, to connect to my Squarespace email campaign automation list? I know with Mailchimp this is possible but can´t figure out if its possible with Squarespace Email Campaigns tool. Best regards Jacob

  7. Site URL: http://activateagency.co.nz Hi there, I'm wondering if there is currently any way to automate email campaigns to free members area subscribers? Eg. members receive an automatic email thanking them for registering and giving next steps; queue emails to arrive a certain period after they've registered for memberships etc? I know that I can automate to regular mailing list subscribers, but I can't see any way to set up the same automation for those who register as members, which seems like a pretty essential tool that I had honestly assumed would be available based on the combination of regular email automations & members areas. I've just migrated my email marketing from Mailchimp to Squarespace and created a Members Area for an online workshop programme we are delivering. We already have the list of approved members, so I have been able to import them successfully into a mailing list and send them an initial welcome email using a regular email campaign. However, I note that I can not manually add these participants into a membership and give them access to the members area - I have to email them again using the regular email campaign function, and ask them to register for the members area, at which point I'm unable to automate emails to them as free members rather than "customers". Even if they register as members to gain access to the members area and then I manually add them into an additional mailing list, then it's still not possible to automate an email sequence for them because they have to "subscribe" to the mailing list themselves... So it seems like the only way to be able to have the combination of 1. participants in a free membership + 2. automated emails enabled is to make people register for a membership AND then subscribe for an additional mailing list... which somewhat defeats the purpose of automating emails to get people engaged anyway. It would be wonderful to know if anyone has a good way around this, or if not whether this functionality is likely to be forthcoming in future? Thanks in advance!

  9. I am creating several of the same newsletter box throughout my blog post pages. How can I ensure that all the contact information from those newsletter boxes go the same Google spreadsheet? I gave them the same Google spreadsheet title. Will they overwrite each other or make a list of emails collected from the group of newsletter boxes?
  10. It's really disappointing that we can't add events to our email campaigns. Anyone found a work around that doesn't require retyping or copying and pasting everything by hand before I give up?
  11. Hi All, I am trying to create an email campaign using the Foodie template. When I click the edit icon on the images, I am shown a "no" symbol (circle with line through). I can't seem to figure out why this is, or how to replace the stock images with my own images. I have been unable to get a response from Squarespace support. I thought it might be the Foodie template, so I tried out the Recap template for email campaigns. The first, large image has the option to replace the image, but the other smaller photos do not. I am using Safari on a Mac, and all upgrades have been done. I also tried using Firefox and same issue. Same on my iPhone too. I have cleared cache, checked cookie settings, etc. Any ideas? Feels frustrating to not be able to get Squarespace support on this one! Many thanks.

There's always at least one person that tries to abuse it and uses several different email addresses to get more than one free item. If I see them I cancel the order(s) and that typically stops them from continuing as I guess they feel "found out". I would like to not ever email these people again but can't seem to figure out a way to do it.
  13. When I look at "view all subscribers" for my email list there are subscribers, customers, and leads. I get what the first two are, but what are the "leads"? It has a "new" sticker next to it, but I can't find any info.
  14. Any tips/tricks to get email notifications when a new subscriber signs up for an email list?! I set up a Google Sheet for my client that compiles all of her signups for her newsletter into one Sheet and had her sign up for the notifications in Sheet to notify her when there is an edit (addition). But she hates it. I know it’s not the best way, but all I could come up with. I wish Squarespace would add this feature! Please let me know if there’s a better way. 😩
  15. Working for an nonprofit that sells a variety of products. Some are physical (merchandise -- dance gear, CDs, books), but our primary sales are event tickets, live workshops, and dance class series. We often have to send out updates about classes and events and have been doing so (until recently) by exporting our sales on Squarespace and copy/pasting email addresses into our company email, then sending from there--not through squarespace. It's been a total slog and it's time to start using squarespace as our main database for emails, marketing, and customer profiles. While we've successfully set up automated emails via Marketing to go out immediately after specific purchases, we'd like to have a way to easily send out follow up emails to those same customers. Is there is a way for Squarespace to automatically populate mailing lists based on costumers' specific purchases? We only recently upgraded to user profiles so part of my confusion comes from managing profiles... Feels like there should be a way to search our customer profiles for specific item purchases but I'm not finding them. I see that we can manually add tags to individual customers, but that seems a little backwards to me (ex. If I want to add a tag to customers who purchase purchased tickets to a specific show (ie - Tag: "Holiday Show 2021") how can I find out who purchased them without squarespace auto-generating that information in the profiles hub? Trying to figure out what makes the most sense when it comes to user profile management for the org at this time. I'm not opposed to using Eventbrite or Scheduling, I just feel like there is a way to manage mailing lists and send e-blasts through squarespace based on specific purchases. Is there? Hoping that this is possible/easy, and that I just am missing something obvious here.

Site URL: https://www.jotterbookflowers.com I subscribed to Squarespace email campaigns, then proceeded to: - Set up 3x automations - Complete sender details - Ensured I had my legal address included Then I added 40 or so email subscribers manually, to the email list that my automations are set to send to. However none of my automations are sending, and I haven't received any test emails in spite of trying to send one to myself multiple times! I've read all the help articles but can't see where I've made an error. Does anyone have words of wisdom here? I've emailed Squarespace help too but no response in a week. Thanks so much!
  17. Is there any particular reason abandoned cart emails aren’t triggered for subscription products?! As they’re available for other commerce products in your store I’m not too sure why this wouldn’t be available for subscription products as well. Anyone able to shed some light on this and maybe an indication as to whether this will be available in the future. Also if you’ll ever be able to have multiple abandoned cart emails or move this to Squarespace email campaigns as a specific automation 🙂
  18. Is there any way I can customize the CSS in my email campaigns? Basic things like font selections and padding would be great to match my site's style, but if those things are possible, I imagine other customization are possible. Where would I make these changes?

I've never been able to integrate the RSS so each time I make an email in mail chimp I have to recreate it to be on my "news" page on my site. That seems dumb. Should I just send my blog post thought SS? I have a biz account I think. Is there additional cost? Easy to transfer my list over? Thanks!

However, when I enter the sender profile information, it says Unverified domain may be marked as spam. After trying a test (before importing all our member emails), the email does get delivered but indeed goes into the junk mail folder. We use squarespace, our domain is hosted thru godaddy, however, we create our email accounts thru Microsoft 365 Business. What can I do to verify this? Thanks in advance! Donna
  21. Hi there, This issue is related to Squarespace Email Campaigns. Everything was working fine for me until a couple of days ago when I verified my third party domain by adding this DNS record -> "CNAME squarespace._domainkey squarespace-domainkey.squarespace-mail.com" By doing this I intended to hide "a1e0.squarespace-mail.com" on the top of my Email Campaigns to only show the name of my business. It worked fine. Now when I send my emails the Squarespace mark has been gone. The issue is that after doing this open rates suddenly got inflated. They are not accurate as they used to be. Any email delivered to gmail accounts is shown as Open in Squarespace Email Campaign Statistics regardless if it was opened or not. Can anyone help me with this? Just in case I have attached a screenshot with a list of my domain DNS records. Thanks so much!

Site URL: https://www.minimizemymess.com/ I just signed up to Squarespace email campaigns & can see how to save emails from newsletter blocks The issue is that my 75+ opt ins have been built using form blocks and I don't see an option to save emails to squarespace - just email, mailchimp, zapier & google drive I stayed with Squarespace email campaigns for easy integration and to avoid a costly zapier membership so I'm really hoping there's an easy workaround and that I don't have to rebuild every form
  23. Hello! Does anyone know how the unsubscribe process from email campaigns works? I'm trying to create my own custom newsletters through Adobe InDesign and need to have an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. I can't find what the general unsubscribe link for my page would be to attach it to my design? I'd greatly appreciate any help.
