erickab Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 I read this thread about adding a FIRST and LAST NAME field to the pop that started in 2020 ... I don't see where the solution is? Can someone tell me if this option was added. Thank you so much

karlwebster Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Turns out Squarespace has lots of shortcomings. This is just the latest I've come across and the fact that it hasn't been addressed (as in remedied) is pretty bad. fl1 1
queenoluwatobiloba1 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Unfortunately as of January 2024 Squarespace still does not have this feature enabled. Am a little surprise to add first name to pop up has taken over 3 years looking at the thread and no update yet.
bjune Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Really hoping this is an option soon! Or to manually add names to subscribers. All the people who sign up through my pop up get called 'friend' in my emails and it irks me! And most of the time their name is in their email so I know what their name is but I can't manually input it.
jimzdano Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Can we please get this feature??? Still can't add "First Name" to Promo Popup....
emiehughes Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Does anyone have any CSS code that they would be willing to share to solve this issue? Thanks!

CSS cannot be used to solve this limitation. You'll need to request this feature from Squarespace. Did this help? emiehughes Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Thanks @paul2009 - just requested and also put in a request through customer service.
Liesje Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I'm not sure that after nearly 4 years of people asking for this feature, my comment will make any difference, but here's hoping. I contacted Squarespace about this recently, and they gave me the same runaround they probably gave everybody else; "We'll pass your request on to our team, bla, bla, bla." I like using Squarespace, but anyone who knows anything about running an online business knows that your email list is the main point of contact with your customers. Not having the ability to add a first name field on pop-ups is just missing the basics of online marketing. It makes no sense that NO ONE at Squarespace is handling this issue!!?? I would normally recommend Squarespace to everyone as an all-in-one great way to create your site/business. But this needs to be fixed first. Hopefully, someone at Squarespace is reading this and is motivated to take action. Common, you, be a hero!
