Jack_Stuart
Hi, I'm looking to send QR codes as a sort of receipt with orders on my site, so it can be used to later verify the purchase by scanning it. Is anyone aware of any integrations or plugins that would give me this functionality? Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks Jack Link to comment
Solution paul2009 Posted November 11, 2019 Solution Share Posted November 11, 2019 (edited) Squarespace doesn't have a way of generating QR codes. Selling tickets that contain QR codes is a specialised area and there are a number of third-party ticketing solutions that do this really well. Have you looked at any of these: Eventbrite TicketTailor ThunderTix Did this help? Jack_Stuart
Hi Paul, Thanks for your response. The use case is that I want to sell tickets for an event, emailing a unique barcode or qr code to the customer at the time of purchase. On the day of the event i would then verify the purchase by scanning the code on the ticket, ensuring that a legitimate purchase was made. I hope this makes sense. Cheers Jack Link to comment
Robyn
Yes we would like to know if a barcode or unique QR code can be generated after purchase. We are wanting to sell tickets as well. Link to comment
joanncook
I would like to find out how to do this as well - I would like the ability to have a unique QR code generated when a ticket is purchased to then later verify the purchase by scanning the QR code at the time of the event. Link to comment
asa
Site URL: https://thedrive-incinema.squarespace.com/ Hey all, Maybe a question for a future release or something that's being worked towards but I wanted to enquire about Email receipts. I see in the Commerce > Customer Notification > General orders there is a list: > Order Confirmed > Order Fulfilled > Order Refunded > Digital Downloads I wonder if there's any intention to build a email template tailored towards events (like there is for digital downloads)? I have a client who wants to use QR codes sent with the email order confirmation as a way to verify the purchase at the event entry. Does anyone know a way to make this happen outside the existing framework of Squarespace? Or, alternatively is there any plan to include this kind of functionality within Squarespace? Look forward to hearing if anyone can help out here! All the best, Asa EsquireCreative and Beyondspace 2 Link to comment
asa
Hey all, just bumping this to see if anyone's got any tips or direction. Or if Squarespace have any future plans? Link to comment
sruss76
Your best bet is to log a ticket or chat with Squarespace customer service and ask them directly about this. People here in the forums can't give you a definitive answer. Edited April 21, 2021 by sruss76 Link to comment

gdmartino
May 22 now. IS this a thing Squarespace can do yet? Anyone found a work around? I'm running a cinema and would love to use a qr scanning option for ticket holders Link to comment
roxner
Commenting on this post in the hopes that there will be an answer in the future. Have a prospective client who wants to sell event tickets through Squarespace but the confirmation code (qr scan) is something that they are asking about. On shoestring budgets and resources, it would be great if Squarespace could add this to their product commerce platform. Link to comment
gdmartino
I run a boutique cinema and would love the qr code functionality so that when customers arrive with their email confirmation i could scan the email and have their details come up somehow. I can't imagine the logistics of the details coming up but would love the functionality for my customers Link to comment
Monticello
My org is looking for this solution as well. There has got to be a workaround somehow. Anyone tried any 3rd party solutions? Link to comment
JDLouis
Scanning a QR code with the order details means that I can verify an order is real and not a forgery, and also show me the most pertinent details for the purpose of an onsite event. In our case that would be celebrity photo ops (as well as additional purchase upgrades such as digital copies or extra prints). It makes sense for everyone on this thread. That's why we're asking for it. It doesn't have to make sense to you to be a valid request. Link to comment
Willdoes
Has this been answered yet? It is exactly what we need to do. Link to comment
