@paul2009 We did toy with that idea but then there's no affiliation or link with the member account and the collected data (extremely hard to keep track of). Also with a form there's no way to ensure all members actually complete it.

Fingers crossed the members area sign up box can be customized (like a SQSP Form block). We won't hold our breath...

There have been a number of improvements in recent months but it's highly unlikely that you'll ever be able to add additional metadata to user accounts (you mentioned vehicle registrations and emergency contacts). This doesn't fit with the Squarespace model so you may want to consider using code to post this information to a third party solution - eg capture it with a Form and send it to a separate CRM or Google Sheet.

@paul2009 We had a video call meeting with them back in October where they wanted feedback on the Members Areas. It was implied that the changes I brought up were already known about and would be implemented. It'd just be nice as paying SQSP customers to know an ETA so that we can in turn let our customers / members know 😞

I've heard the same concerns from numerous customers and I know the Squarespace are well aware of each of these and want to help. I've shared a number of Member Area limitations with them myself. However, it's unlikely they're gonna get to any of these soon. Member Areas is a very new product and is still evolving. If you can wait, I'm sure it will become a great product, but if you need these features now, you may need to look elsewhere.

We are wanting to make a knowledge base, like Wiki, for our members (will be within Members Areas). We are struggling to find the best way to make it that will be efficient for the user. At the moment we are toying with the ides of using the inbuilt Blog feature but want a couple of extra things to improve it.
-Remove the blogs 'posted' date (can be done with CSS?)
-Add a search bar at the top of the page
-Have 3 columns of posts or be able to customize Blogs main page
 
I have no knowledge of CSS so wondering if there's a rough guide.

I think the site is easy to use. Easy to find content from the menu, and looks nice with all the photos you’ve added.
One thing you can improve is the homepage. Instead of just saying Welcome, add some content here from the about page and the homepage will feel more relevant.

AFAIK Squarespace will embed anything embed.ly tell them to.  https://embed.ly/providers
I don't do usability testing. sorry. I just answer little code questions when I have insomnia 🙂, you could try posting it in the Site Feedback section of the forum

You just need to create the map in the My Maps section of your google account. add all the pins and lines and annotations you want. then make sure its set to public and use the "Embed In My Site" option. That will give you some iframe code that looks like this. you don't need the iframe bit, just copy out the link. the example here is a demo I just made for you of two points in london.

if it doesn't find the link. then click the little icon </> and paste the whole iframe code in from above, but change the width to "100%" and the height to whatever you want.
