Many thanks all....for some reason last week it was happening, and Squarespace tech support saw and recognized the issue as well. Perhaps they somehow resolved it? They said it was a global bug impacting all users. Thanks all for taking the time to look!!! (I swear I'm not crazy :))

Help! Squarespace says this is a known problem, and won't commit to fixing it! I'm a little mad, as this should be common functionality. On my home page I have a slideshow and an animated gif as a section background. If I navigate to another page, and then use the back button on my browser, the slideshow will not work, and the animated gif does not load. I even created a fresh new page thinking it might be something in the code or SS version. The problem persists with the slideshow. Does anyone have a solution? Squarespace does not.
