I was wondering if there was a way to make the cart pop out from the side, a floating cart. At the moment, clicking the cart icon simply redirects to the cart page, rather than displaying a lightbox sort of thing.

The Squarespace Cart loads as a separate page. However there's a third party Custom Cart Slide Out plugin (affiliate link) available from Squarewebsites.
