code Departmental dropdown in contact form?

I found this old post from 2020, and it describes my need perfectly:

Is it possible to have a form that submits data to a variety of email addresses instead of just one? I have a client who would like to direct email to a different member of staff depending on which name the user chooses from a list or pull-down menu in a contact form. Can this be achieved through coding / customization?

I am not a whiz at SQSP so if you have an answer, please be very specific and step-by-step.  (P.S. this is not about doing email blasts)

No, this is not something that is possible with Squarespace forms. If this is a must-have for a client then you will have to use a 3rd-party form.

Without knowing your requirements or needs beyond a dropdown and multiple sources, I can't be specific. There are hundreds of good ones, all with different strengths and weaknesses, and at different price-points.
