MikeVC Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 I would like my portfolio collection page thumbnails that click through to the specific project page to be video vs an image. Is this possible?? Can’t seem to find ANYTHING about this! Any advice?? KarenTriana and Steverrt 2
hey_gill Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 I'm DESPERATE to have this functionality too, and feel like people have been asking for it ever since 7.1 came out. I managed to get it to work on my 7.0 site, so I have no idea why such a useful function has been removed. PLEASE can this be looked at @Squarespace!
LoneSpruce Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Agreed — This needs to be a feature! Any advice on alternatives @tuanphan? Steverrt 1

Taco2x Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 (edited) I think they mean a video thumbail for a project page, NOT an image: I've attached screengrabs from the site I'm porting over from 7.0 to 7.1 and the different project settings GUIs Am also looking for any kind of workaround. Video thumbnails are pretty standard fair for web design these days so amazed (maybe not) that this feature has been dropped. Edited January 12, 2023 by Taco2x Steverrt 1
joshuahext Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Has anyone had any progress on making this work? I am desperate to get this up and running.
bryanb11 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Same, am also looking to figure out a solve for this with the new Squarespace 7.1
Muffduff Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 You should be able to mimic this to so degree with a gif, no?
tuanphan Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 You can consider using Gif Image. Use CSS code to turn static image to Gif image. With video, still possible but more complex code Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). Answer within 24 hours.
