Will my custom email still work if I transfer my domain from GoDaddy?

I am ready to transfer my domain from GoDaddy to my squarespace site (which is not up yet). However, I am also paying for a custom email through godaddy for my site. Will that be lost when I make the transfer?

Moving domain from GoDaddy to Squarespace is pretty straight forward. Keeping the email is a bit more complicated due to the fact that Squarespace domains do not have custom email built in. Here is some infor about what you can do:

You can get technical help on this at GoDaddy, too. Some of the custom email addresses are not as secure as newer methods. I switched to GSuite and went through the various security steps. The email addresses stay the same, but they're much more secure. I think it's worth the $6/month. And moving to GSuite directly, rather than via Squarespace, gives much more flexibility and better options. (I'm pretty sure I got that advice here!)
