Announcement Bar is HUGE

I am hoping to figure out how the reduce the overall height/size of my announcement bar. I have tried adjusting the font type, size and weight, but nothing seems to be working. It looked great when I enabled and until I added my own text - and then the bar size got huge.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you gone into design /site styes and adjusted the Font Size and weighting? Those are the only two tweaks you have that affect the size of the bar. 

Makes sense as how that is happening. I have never pasted text in the bar, always typed it. I have pasted links to a line of text but that works fine. 

I am having similar issues with my announcement bar. Have tried to type and copy and paste something that isn't formatted and the text is still huge. Any advice?

Can you share link to your site? We can check easier

I'm having this same issue. My announcement bar is huge. No matter how much I change the font and weight, nothing changes. I tried to delete formatting and then Command + A, still nothing changed. Could anyone offer some additional help?
