teamsilverlake Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Would love to be able to add links to customer's Google Maps businesses with Google's new g.page URLs in the /settings/social-links menu where it would show as a Google icon instead of just a generic link icon. This would be a great way to link to a customer's business for any Google services (directions, reviews, photos, etc) Here's an example of the new link format. I think this is new within the last few months. Would love to see Squarespace support it! https://g.page/vammen-law?share
christyprice Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 @teamsilverlake, I agree! I had to do a workaround using FontAwesome to achieve this recently. Would love if it was added to the social links. christyprice.com 🇺🇸 Austin, TX US 🐾 ✅ Get my Starter Template for Web Designers 🎬 Watch 7 Ways to Save Time as a Squarespace Designer from Circle Day 2024 🎥 Watch Circle Live: Hello Income (feat. torrey Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 I'm getting this request from my clients, too. Hope they add the icon to the social media link library!
Featured Comment Susana_SQSP Posted March 19, 2020 Featured Comment Posted March 19, 2020 Hi @teamsilverlake Thanks for the suggestion. Squarespace doesn't currently offer that feature, but I'd be happy to suggest it to our development team on your behalf. While we can't guarantee implementation of every suggestion, customer feedback is an important part of how we continue to improve our platform, so we appreciate your input. For now, I am closing this post; for any future feature requests, contacting Customer Support would be the best approach as per section VI. of the forum guidelines we don't usually track feature requests here.
