My name is Laurie Pace but I have branded Elle Pace since my first art website went up in 1995ish. Back in the 'old days' we did not want to put our real name out there... we have come a long way!  I am an internationally collected artist.  No laughing...but I have painted my entire life from about age 9 forward, but became a commercial artist, then head artist at an ad agency for over 10 years, all while continuing as a print and runway model from age 14 to age 34. Raised three great kids, have an awesome husband that is the best shipper of my artwork worldwide. I am one of the older members in this group. I remember when I was invited in ...was in 2016ish and I had switched all my clients to SQS and I felt totally old compared to everyone!... but I am still at it. I sponsored and created a Texas Art group... The artists of Texas, and it was formed in 2008. I believe in mentoring artists and sharing marketing ideas to those they cannot quite get there.  AND I am not big on Social Media... feel like it drags too much time out of life.  I have had a google blog since 2007ish and while I am off blogging right now with my Mom at almost 95 having health issues... Google blogger rocks!  I have had 1,325,939 Visitors and it would have been twice this had I continued to blog as I was doing 7 days a week!  I am excited about these new group areas!
I also was the creator and Editor in Chief of Visual Language Magazine and for 5 years I put out 12 editions each year creating a fabulous place for artists to get their work seen.  My website for Website Design is https://visuallanguagedesign.com

There isn’t a built-in function to specifically do this but, depending on the requirements, you may be able to build something using a Blog Collection, with one post per contact. A search bar, linked only to this blog, could then be used to search for matching posts (contacts).

    Hey there,

I'm an old duffer currently residing in the Midlands of England who has finally got around to going through years upon years upon years of documentary photographic work, archiving the whole lot, it's seemingly endless.  My education background is all photography and arts based.

Admittedly my little portfolio site is not polished, www.lswalker.co.uk I didn't wish or want it to be.  It wouldn't reflect me that way at all, you see I came of age in the 70's, 80's and 90's, I was outside all the time, jumping off high bridges into rivers, throwing myself off cliffs, getting myself caked in dirt, I'm gritty and my work reflects that.   Always been happy with film, never switched to digital cameras although ironically my archive is all being scanned, however, when I shoot, it's still on what the kids now call 'analogue', you kids, you crack me up!  I'm tolerating IG, my handle on there is @thatdeafguysaperture, Instagram is certainly not a patch on what it used to be, a great shame.

Oh aye, there's no current work on my site yet, I work with building narratives and little collections you see and my more contemporary concotions are not ready to be taken out of the cauldrons.  All of my old work was on 35mm, today I use a mix of 35mm and medium format which keeps me out of mischief....... well sometimes...... ok, rarely!

And yeah, I know there's a few glitches with my site, especially on a mobile phone, it's new, I'm 'new' and I'll get there eventually.

    So, howdy folks, I'm Lee!

MUSE etc. long gone!

GraphicsOneDesign got a reaction from ednaw in How do you integrate social media into your website or brand?
Social Media!  As an original blogger on Google Blogs, I was accustomed to high numbers of 8-10,000 a month (2007).  When I moved to Squarespace and blogged on my personal site with it (2014), I found it worked best to still blog on my Google Blog and leave the article with an unfinished, read more here and direct them to my SQS blog. When I still use that formula today my numbers jump way high from that google blog.
For clients I encourage using FB now that you can post duplicates to instagram from there. For smaller business clients, I encourage posting FB/Instagram at least 4 times a week and scheduling posts. I have set clients up on a service that handles the posting, but I have personally never used them.
Consistency is the key for higher numbers. From 2007 through 2013 I posted 6-7 days a week.  It does pay off.  Now I am a hit and miss.  (Thanks for reminding me!!!).

GraphicsOneDesign reacted to Avairo in Customer service: how do you start off on the right foot?
I like to take on a mindset of these three concepts: Expectations, Transparency, and Overdelivering.
Setting expectations with your clients means clearly describing the normal course of doing business with you. What does your processes look like? Timeframes? What is inside and outside of scope? What is expected of your client? What will delay delivery of a successful outcome? Communicating expectations allows you to exceed expectations.
Transparency is being open and honest with processes, pricing, and the limits of your services. Communicate often. Own up to mistakes immediately and address them. Be open about potential conflicts or differences of opinion with your client. They will thank you for your honesty and will likely be happy to find a win-win solution.
Overdelivering is another key that will set you apart. Again, clearly communicate outcomes, and don’t over promise, even if you have the best intensions. Always provide something extra: Beat a deadline, provide extra copywriting or images. Add an extra set of revisions.
It might be expensive or time consuming to prevent an unexpected problem. But if you wait for a problem to happen, the costs are dramatically higher, and could even cost you a customer. Use these concepts and add them to your strategy. This will compliment what @christyprice recommends: automate processes, and remove yourself as a bottleneck.

    Hi Nicola
Depending on the size, you should be able to migrate the blog content from, 7.0 to 7.1 using a third party tool or by booking a Squarespace Expert who is familiar with the process.
