    I just started another conversation because this I can't seem to find the Custom CSS window anymore. I used the new AI Tools to make a new template... It moved to Settings, but in this tool its not there or in the Developer Tools. I'll try your code, thank you and I'll get you a coffee. I'll try the general link style code if I can find the Custom Code section. It looks like I might have to rebuild the site on the older route to find it! Can't they stop moving things! I hope they aren't going to get rid of Custom CSS.

    I have gone down the new AI tools route in building a new site. (April 2024) The Custom CSS has moved again! It moved into Settings, but now in the AI driven version, I can't see it anywhere. Does anyone know if its still available please? It looks to me a bit like they might be removing it pretty soon. I can't see it in Settings or in the Developer Tools.

    I want to change my button style, but seemingly Squarespace won't let me change it the way I want to - ie, just have a coloured text link. I can put in the text and link it, ofcourse, but the colour is extra to my five and needs coding in. I probably won't have the icon in my image attached, thats just in my Figma file. I have the block identifier, but the text block comes up as a block yui. Can anyone help me with the code needed to make this happen? I realise I'll have to code in for every link. But I don't want to upgrade to code injection - isn't that a more expensive package? Of if you have any other ideas about how to make this coloured text link the button style. The coloured button box with rollover is rather dated now, isn't it? Also - if I try to use the underlined text option in the button styles, I can't change the font to ordinary sentence capitalisation - argh! Its either all caps, or all lower case. They seem to dictate what you can have so much. There isn't the flexibility here that you'd hope for as a designer.

    Should there be another curly bracket after 'background....important;' It seems abit wierd that there's a second class name halfway through. But squarespace code has me baffled!

When I customised the captions to show on hover with a semi-transparent black box behind covering 100% of the image, the image link no longer works... I've tried a few things I've seen on the forum, but can't get it to work. Its a shame because the caption on hover default style isn't very current. Any ideas would be welcome! Thank you!     Has anyone found a solution to this lately (now 2022) - as its something I'm struggling with now? None of these seem to fix it for me. I have four inline images (Not a gallery). Each image links to its own section. But I've customised the hover to show the caption on hover with a semi transparent black box covering 100% of the image so the caption shows up. But the link doesn't work now. There is a guide on Squarespace for this for 7.1 but its is out of date - the elements aren't there anymore! I've tried adding the 'pointer-events: none' but that doesn't work... Its a shame because the default hover bar is stylistically abit rubbish :/ Thanks for any ideas!

    Site URL: https://tuba-mustard-fwpa.squarespace.com/ I have been trying to find out how to custom css code to change the background colour of areas of my site. Its a case study page where I need to add case study brand colours that are different to the brand of my site. I have use a Chrome extension to find the section id (please see screen shot of my code) and added the code as best I can, but its not working. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please? The identifier on the extension shows a section id, but I"m confused about what that means - if its a class or a div. And whether I need more info further up the css chain to identify the section. I have attached three screen shots: 1. The objective - to show that I want to colour the section behind the text which at the moment is white. 2. A shot of the code identifier that the extension shows. Please ignore the block - I think thats about the text box inside the section. 3. My code (that isn't working) Do I need opening and closing 'style' tags? I'll need to add alot of colours eventually: all the case studies have their own brands.. Any help is much appreciated! Diane
