Hide Project Sub-Pages from Google Search Results without Hiding Project Page Itself

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://www.modcity.ca/

I am attempting to Hide the Project Page's "Sub-Pages" from Google Search Results, without Hiding the Project Page Itself.

I found a Squarespace Article that touches on the subject of hiding individual site pages without using settings (settings of sub-pages do not have a 'Hide from SEO' option)

Link to Article for reference:
https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/21829426828045-Hiding-your-site-from-search-results#toc-add-the-tag-with-code-injection

This articles states that a code injection is a good solution to hiding individual pages.

Can anyone confirm that this actually works?

Hi @Modcity,

I'm glad to help you. Thank you for sharing the reference URL. Yes, you can hide the page using the following code:

<meta name="robots" content="noindex">

This code tells search engines not to index or follow the page. Simply add it to the header of the page you want to hide.

Feel free to reach me if you've any further questions.

Best wishes,
Sadul Sifat
