lovestitchesall
So I sell an item that is customizable. So customizable it exceeds that amount of variables I can use per listing. So I split the item into two separate listings. One is for "handles" and another is "sizes". TO order a complete product, I need the customer to purchase a handle AND the size for the handle. In fear of my shop selling out, people will purchase a handle but forget to choose a size to go with it. It is causing so many issues for me as people will buy one piece of the order and make a new order to add the remaining part of the order. Is there a way that if they try to checkout without one or the other item, an "error" pop up can come up and remind them their cart is missing and item and they can not continue unless they add it? I hope this all makes sense! Here is my website LoveStitchesAll.com Edited May 12, 2023 by lovestitchesall Link to comment
paul2009
Can you please provide a link to the site so we can see the issue in context? I'm not sure I understand the challenge 🙂 Edited May 12, 2023 by paul2009 About me: I've been a SQSP User for 18 yrs. I was invited to join the Circle when it launched in 2016. paul2009
Thanks. I don't crochet so I don't fully understand the question, sorry 🥲. Can you explain what customers need to do? Do they need to pick a "handle" of a certain size, and then pick a silver or rose gold hook of any size? Or something else? Edited May 12, 2023 by paul2009 About me: I've been a SQSP User for 18 yrs. lovestitchesall
Every crochet hook is made with a handle and a hook. I can not make a crochet hook with only one of the two. Customers keep buying the handle but not the hook or vice versa. Im trying to figure out if there is a box that can come up saying "opps! You forgot to add a hook to your purchase!" And it makes it so they can not checkout without both the handle and hook in the cart. Link to comment

But, to help me understand, does the handle size need to match the hook size, or can they be different? I'm trying to understand the number of permutations and how you could simplify them for example by adding a separate product for each handle colour/design, and then just add a variant for the hook details. Would that work? About me: I've been a SQSP User for 18 yrs. I was invited to join the Circle when it launched in 2016. I have been a Circle Leader since 2017. I don't work for Squarespace.
