thismiyan
Hiya, I'm trying to find a code that gets rid of the large spacing between header and content on my 'work' page (shows for both desktop and mobile) as well as for each portfolio page (problem shows up on mobile). I have used the plugin that fixes fluid engines spacing issue but it doesn't get rid of these two massive spacing issues. I saw a code about using css like grid-template but couldn't figure out how to change to fit my own websites issue. Any solutions? website: https://crocodile-poodle-ncer.squarespace.com/ pw: poodle Edited March 24, 2023 by thismiyan Link to comment
tuanphan
Hi, See this answer If it doesn't work, let me know, we can give code to solve this. With this case, I usually use code to reduce value of CSS: grid-template-rows Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). Answer within 24 hours. thismiyan
Thanks for sharing! @tuanphan I tested it out, it didn't seem to fix the problem and then broke my website. I managed to fix the mobile spacing issue for each portfolio page however the work page still shows a big gap. (see attached screenshots) Any solutions for this? tuanphan
First, add this to Design > Custom CSS html.squarespace-damask .sqs-blockStatus { display: none !important; } Next, edit page > You can drag Code Block to reduce height Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). thismiyan
Thanks for your response @tuanphan I have tried this. What happens is that when i'm in edit mode everything is correct but once i'm out edit mode and test the website the space block is still there. Therefore I can't actually drag the block code to reduce the height because it says there is no leftover block space in edit mode to begin with. (see attached for reference) This is happening with and without the css code recommended also. Any solution for this or why it might be happening? Thank you! 🙂 Link to comment

coristyle
Super lame that we have to use code for this. I find Fluid very frustrating. This will help for those large spaces: GretchenElizabeth 1 Link to comment
