  1. Site URL: https://www.weareimagocollective.com/ Hi! I have this code in to change the size of the email and sign up buttons, but the space between "sign up with your..." email field/button and disclaimer is like double what I want it to be. Here is the code I currently have in: .newsletter-block {padding-top: 0; padding-bottom: 0} .sqs-block-newsletter .newsletter-form-field-element { padding-top: 8px !important; padding-bottom: 8px !important; } button.newsletter-form-button.sqs-system-button { padding-top: 10px !important; padding-bottom: 10px !important; } Website: https://www.weareimagocollective.com/ Thanks!
  2. Site URL: https://www.rossandlaura2023.com/ Hiya Folks, I'm finalizing my website for my Partner and I's wedding. I was excited to see the new layout engine and found it very helpful to really hone in on a layout that I liked. Everything looked good on the Desktop preview, and I loved being able to go in to the mobile preview and independently adjust the content layout to optimize it for mobile. However, after saving the website and asking my partner to review it on her phone, we noticed that there were some really annoying spacing issues. It seems as though this is mostly when I have used a header. Everything looks fine on the mobile preview on squarespace but when looking at the website on mobile, there is a lot more space after every instance of text that uses my heading. Is there any way I can correct this? I will attach some side by side images highlighting the difference between the mobile preview on squarespace and how it looks on a mobile device. If you fancy looking at the website or want to inspect the coding, the website password is: Tulum2023 Cheers
  3. Site URL: https://www.mikepintea.com On the mobile version of my front page there is a strange white space below my only section on that page. This white space is only visible on mobile, not on desktop version. Using Version 7.1. Played with every setting I could find, and tried some previous Custom CSS that people have suggested, but they did not work for me!
  4. Site URL: https://chrysalis-apricots-jrc4.squarespace.com/config/pages/604a7454f4e3a742e685b79e -URGENT- On desktop, I am using Image + Text Blocks to highlight a product photo and product title. I multiple rows in a 4-column grid. On desktop, it reads Left to Right. On mobile, I want the same order each row of 4-columns, Left to Right, but stack on top of one another. This was working but all of a sudden the fluid engine is overlapping everything in the mobile view. https://chrysalis-apricots-jrc4.squarespace.com/config/pages/604a7454f4e3a742e685b79e Can someone share how I fix this?
  5. Site URL: https://www.craigkleila.com/ Password to site is "password" In hero section of my homepage, I want the google search image and the image behind it to have a consistent design across devices. I want it to look like the attached image on all device sizes. Currently, the image behind the google search image moves depending on the screens size. How can I do this?
  6. Site URL: https://www.michellecurrandesign.com/prime-video-kids-streaming Hi, I'm trying to get the subtitle of this stacked image to be just under the title. And I also want to tighten up the spacing above "This title" so that it's closer to the image. I've tried and tried with the custom CSS and can't seem to get it. Can anyone help?
  7. Site URL: https://lizard-antelope-tm9b.squarespace.com/ I put a blog post via a summary block on my home page, and I just want the image, but it's responsive in a completely different way - it keeps its aspect ratio/proportion no matter what. - I've turned off all the metadata. So nothing should be hiding below it. Tried all the aspect ratio options, that doesn't help. Automatic is the worst. The image is currently 4:3. Love to know if there's another way to put a blog post on the home page and have it act the same way as other blocks, with no padding (if that's the issue)
  8. Site URL: https://www.at17c.com/shop/p/coming-soon-pycrn-sts2h Hi. Under my additional images on my product page I have this weird white bar. How do I remove this? TIA
  9. Site URL: http://leard.co.uk/ I have a 7.0 squarespace site but I'm currently putting together a new 7.1 site using the Gates template. The default is to have 3 columns, but I want 4, but when I change it to 4, there's a thin line running down the centre (image attached), even though the spacing is set to 0. Anyone know why it's doing that?
  10. Site URL: https://www.michaelheffernan.com There is too much space between individual blog posts and the menu on my website. Can any one help with code to fix this? The blog section on my website is called ‘News’ Attached is a screen shot of this blog page on my website https://www.michaelheffernan.com/news/leger-lifestyle-shoot-in-italy as an example of the problem.

  12. Site URL: https://ayamun.squarespace.com Passcode: 9166 Hi there, I’m having trouble getting the mobile version of my client’s website to look the way I’d like. I’m working on two monitors – a 32" 4k monitor scaled down to a resolution of 2560 by 1440, and my 2018 15" MacBook Pro with its default resolution of 1680 by 1050. I work primarily on the 32" monitor, but I use my 15" macbook pro for reference, as well as a few different sized mobile devices (large and small), and a 12.9 iPad Pro. When working on my 32" monitor, everything looks great – the desktop and mobile websites looks preem. On my 15" MacBook Pro, the desktop version of the site looks great, but on the mobile version, there appears to be a lot of additional space that is injected between page sections. I previewed my website on all my mobile devices previously mentioned, and they all appear to have the same issue. After a quick google search, this appears to be a pretty consistent bug with Squarespace’s Fluid Engine, specifically on tablets. I could do with not having a great looking tablet version of my client’s website until Squarespace comes up with a fix, but it NEEDS to look good and read well on mobile. How do I go about fixing this issue? My primarily goal is took make my client’s website look good and read well on 13"-15" laptop devices and on average sized smartphones – bonus points if they look good on bigger phones as well. I have attached a couple of screen captures below showcasing the problem. Please read the file names, as they tell you what is considered correct or incorrect spacing on desktop and mobile, as well as the device’s resolution. Thanks again! correct-spacing-desktop-and-mobile-2560-by-1440-resolution.mov
  13. Site URL: http://www.jenniferskogboudoir.com/journal/2022/8/31/comfortable-with-the-camera I'm trying to figure out how to have my blog posts display like 95% wide. The text is going all the way to the edges of my phone and it doesn't look good. Does anyone know what CSS I can input to fix this? Thank you! Edit: this worked if anyone else needs: /*add padding to text for mobile devices*/ @media only screen and (max-width: 640px){ .sqs-block-html .sqs-block-content { padding-right: 25px; padding-left: 25px; }
  14. Site URL: https://www.at17c.com/shop/p/coming-soon-pycrn-sts2h Hi. I have a spacing/layout problem when on mobile view. I have, instead of additional information for my products utilised a section in the footer, but this makes it so there is too much space between the product excerpt and the footer section. How do I either; a. reduce the spacing between the footer and the product details excerpt? b. create the same exact layout without using footer sections? The red circle indicates the space I would like to reduce. TIA.
  15. Site URL: https://www.at17c.com/shop Hi. On my shop page I am using a code block to remove a section of the footer on that specific page. On desktop it looks fine, since you can compress the code block down to one line. On mobile however the code block takes up too much space. How do I remove that spacing or how do I remove the code block completely while still maintaining its function. The marked red circle is where the code block is. TIA
  16. Site URL: https://friendsofminnesotaorchestra.org/store/p/friends-membership-luncheon How do I remove some of the vertical spacing in the header of this store item? The title of the item should be top aligned with the image.
  17. Site URL: https://www.friendsofrecoveryneo.com/newsletters-1 I added a list carousel section to a page but there is a lot of empty space above it (and some below it) that I can't seem to remove. I don't see the usual option for adjusting the secion height. Am I missing it somewhere or can it be done by custom css? Thank you.
  18. Site URL: https://www.davidmelnikoff.com/ Hello! I'm having trouble with a bunch of white space appearing between text blocks when I view my site in landscape mode on small mobile phones. I've attached on photo that shows the space between the 1st and 2nd text blocks when my phone is vertical, and then another photo that shows the space when my phone is landscape. The problem, I think, is that the section itself is not resizing when I go to landscape, but of course the text blocks get shorter, resulting in these gaps. Any help would be much appreciated!!!!
  19. Site URL: https://www.daphnes.co.nz/ Hi there, Having trouble with the formatting of text links on the contact page, but on mobile only. When these links begin on a new line on mobile they have an extra space before the link - making it look like they are indented. See attached example. Also, this error doesn't appear when I'm on my browser and go 'Inspect' and view it at different mobile sizes - it only appears on an actual phone browser.. I am using custom css on the site and I have checked the relevant parts to see if they affect it but no luck so far. If anyone could take a quick look I would be so grateful! Please let me know if you need any more details. Thanks!
  20. Hello! I don't remember having this problem before now, but I can't seem to find a way to adjust character spacing on buttons. My current client prefers a lot of tracking in their design and compared to the rest of the site, the button text looks pretty squished. Tried to get there a few ways through Site Styles but don't see the text spacing slider anywhere for buttons. Thanks for the assist!
  21. Site URL: https://sadiespikescuriouscabinet.com/alternative-art-school-bristol Hi, I'm looking to reduce the amount of space each side of text and buttons in a list section on mobile view only. The web copy is being displayed in a narrow central area meaning that some of the words, and specifically the buttons are forced to drop vertically over several lines, rather than run across one line horizontally. Does anyone know of a css fix for this please? Thanks!
  22. Site URL: https://bobcat-deer-6yf9.squarespace.com/contact-3 Hi, I'm very new to web design. I have a few CSS customisations on my site but I'm struggling to reduce the space/padding on my newsletter block. My URL is: https://bobcat-deer-6yf9.squarespace.com/contact-3 I'd like the "Subscribe to my newsletter' to be closer to the input field and the subscribe button. Anyone have any idea how to help? Thanks!
  23. Site URL: https://www.changeist.org/team Hi Squarespace community! I hope you all could help me with a formatting issue currently affecting our website. I updated two sections to the newer 7.1 version with the "upgrade" button, which has caused my markdown text to keep a large blank space that would otherwise be shrinked/hidden until a site visitor clicks the name of our staff member. How do I get rid of the large space so that I can have our staff bios reasonably organized? Thank you all in advance for your help in this matter!
  24. Site URL: https://www.nonprofitnomad.com/about Hello, I'm having a recurring issue on sites I'm building where bulleted lists that are separated into side-by-side columns on desktop get stacked on mobile with a space between them. How do I eliminate the space? Please see screenshots of how it looks on desktop and the space that appears on mobile that I'd like to get rid of. The URL is https://www.nonprofitnomad.com/about. Thanks in advance!
  25. Site URL: https://www.shinewater.com/new-home-working I'm trying to remove all spacing between the bottom black horizontal line and the orange circle on the right. How can I remove all padding from the #new-page-3 section?
