  1. Site URL: https://smilodon-ocelot-my5f.squarespace.com Hi, How do I make the padding tighter on my email sign up in my footer?
  2. Site URL: https://www.rubysplace.org/ Currently struggling with identifying the issue that is causing the extra spacing on the left and right of two of my content blocks. When I'm in edit mode, there is no spacing that appears, so I'm not sure why it appears when the site is live.. If anyone could help me with this, that would be great!
  3. Site URL: https://bassoon-oleander-texb.squarespace.com/ Site password: 12345 Right now, I have a "SHOP" Button in my navigation bar that I moved closer to the Cart icon using CSS edits to its spacing. However, when the window size is reduced/expanded, it moves with the other navigation items and the spacing I'm looking for gets messed up. I've currently used multiple lines to edit the spacing based off the window size as a basic fix: @media only screen and (min-width: 1270px){.header-nav-item:nth-child(5){ margin-left: 280px !important; margin-right: 5px !important; padding-right: 10px !important;}} @media only screen and (max-width: 1270px){.header-nav-item:nth-child(5){ margin-left: 200px !important; margin-right: 5px !important; padding-right: 10px !important;}} @media only screen and (max-width: 1200px){.header-nav-item:nth-child(5){ margin-left: 180px !important; margin-right: 5px !important; padding-right: 10px !important;}} etc.... However, I'm wondering if there is an easier fix to this and have that particular nav item (SHOP) behave like the Cart icon and Donate Button when the window size is expanded/reduced - so that it remains right-aligned to the window in the same relative position. Same thing when it comes to the grey backdrop. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Site URL: https://www.thisismakers.com/home Hello Everyone! :) I have been trying to align these three blocks so they are vertically aligned to the centre of the index all the time (like the image second image (illustration)). However, I am having no luck whatsoever :( It is okay looking on some screens when the page is full screen but most of the time it looks like the first image! Anyone know how to do this? Thank you in advance! :D web link: www.thisismakers.com/home password: test123
  5. Site URL: https://grape-fiddle-5tas.squarespace.com/ Hi – I've been working on a site for a client and would love help on how to: 1) Make the header links a little bigger 2) Make there be overall less vertical padding between the different text blocks throughout. (It's just all so spread-out feeling.) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  7. Site URL: http://hitonoto.com For some reason on mobile the images on our Index page don't stretch all the way to the bottom of the window. And so it's showing the brown background color, which we don't want. It's as if there is a problem with the parallax scrolling. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks
  8. Site URL: https://lettuce-magnolia-plfw.squarespace.com I've tried reducing all padding in Site Styles to 0 for absolutely everything, CSS for padding to 0, and still nothing will remove the white gap at the bottom
  9. Site URL: https://www.taskgloves.com/events Hi, I would like to remove the spacing to the left of the events images. I want the image to be lined up with the title. Is there a way to remove this spacing in pink?
  10. I have a question about this page: https://quadra-capital.squarespace.com/capital-raising password: quadracapital 1. Do you know if it's possible to move the plus icons under the second section to the left and right align the text? I inserted code to create the accordion on the FAQ page but I'm not sure if there's a way to switch the placement of the + icons on this specific page. 2. I had to insert the grey numbers as images. Do you know how I would decrease the padding of these to get them closer to the text boxes below? Thanks!
  11. Site URL: https://octagon-garlic-ejcr.squarespace.com/ Link : https://octagon-garlic-ejcr.squarespace.com/ Password : sonatine Hello friends, I'm almost done with my brand new website, but there are still a few things I would love to correct. 1/ So for each section, all the thumbnails (an actuall image gallery) are linked to my video projects. Problem is, people need to actually go to the video page to see the actual title. Is there a way I can make a hover effect on each thumnail pic so that when someone place the cursor on it, the title appears ? 2/ There's a slight issue with the spacing between thumbnails on the "fashion film" page. These are my main two issues before it's completed. I added two captures describing the two issues. Thanks a lot for your help, hopefully I can release my website pretty soon. Kinds regards
  12. Site URL: https://www.addisonstreetspa.com/book-private I use the Mindbody Appointment widget for booking appointments. When I select a service and a date range, the widget expands to show available appointments. The expanded widget is overlapping the footer instead of pushing the footer down How do I get the footer to stay below the expanded widget?
  13. Site URL: https://www.annashani.co.uk Since most of the views are on mobile rather than desktop to my site, it would help if the menu bar actually functioned properly. Unless you click right at the top of the word "menu" the drop down list of menu items will not appear and the page just refreshes itself. Any coding I can insert for the mobile view so that people can actually view my whole website via their phone, rather than just the homepage? There essentially needs to be more space between the menu and the website title. It's a glitch that Squarespace can't fix.
  14. Hi there, I'm working in the Jaunt template. I'm trying to add space in between sections on the index page. See my screenshot. I read I'm supposed to be able to see a "pencil" icon to edit, but I never see this to edit individual appearances? Can somebody point me in the right direction? The red squiggles are obviously the excess space I'm hoping to reduce a lot. Thanks!
  15. Is anyone else having issues with spacing? I recall on previous versions of Squarespace that you could easily change the spacing/padding/margin between elements in the page editor. Now there are no controls for this in the new interface, sections have their own padding that cannot be changed, and overall missing features throughout the designer these days. I've attached a simple markup example of this limitation. Note to Management: In general I've noticed Squarespace taking away more and more of the customizations that once made it the perfect balance between something too simple (Shopify) and something too complex for the average Joe (Wordpress). Squarespace is getting more and more like choppy with almost no customizations and design limitations at every turn. And to top it all off, the monthly price keeps getting higher while offering less and less.
  16. Site URL: http://sagepresence.com I have 3 pieces of text that I'm trying to group closely together on my homepage. One of them -- with the biggest font -- is Custom Coded. The others are standard text. I've been told that the Custom Code is causing spacing issues, keeping me from being able to group them together like I want. Strangely enough, I've been able to arrange things in a way that looks right to me in design mode (see the first attached file below). But the live version of this adds a ton of space around the elements (see the second file attached). Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the space?
  17. Hi all, I'm having some issues with a custom font I am trying to use. a space seems to appear after some of the letters and some of the letters seem to become part of the previous word as if the space character is showing up on the wrong side of the letter. Has anyone seen this before and know of a fix/what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance Ioan
  18. Site URL: http://www.saffron-media.com I'm trying to increase the Link spacing in the header without triggering it to create a new line. There seems to be ample space, but once I hit a certain threshold it'll trigger to move a couple of the links to a new line. I found that this is dependant on the size of the monitor your using as well. A 15" screen will display the links perfectly in 1 row, however a 13" screen will cause it to create another line.
  19. My site: www.isissakomadajohn.com I would like there to be space around each item in my index like in the Wexly template, instead of each item touching on all sides as is default in Flatiron. I have been using the code below, but it is cutting off part of each image, it seems cropping from the right side and the bottom. Any suggestions? /* Flatiron: Add 8px white space between index items */ /* set the white space on each side of page */ #container-content { padding-left: 8px!important; padding-right: 8px!important; } #grid .item { margin-left:-8px; a { border: 16px solid #fff; } /* Overlay size on hover */ .wrapper { margin: 16px; } }
  20. I am using the Flatiron template, and this is my site: www.isissakomadajohn.com I have a few issues with my header in mobile: I would like the navigation (currently denoted by "menu") to appear below the logo instead of on top I would like the navigation to say "+" instead of "menu" Once the navigation is clicked to open, I would like the navigation items to be less spaced out in terms of line height. they currently take up the entire screen on my iPhone 7 plus Once the logo and navigation are reversed, I would like less space between the logo and the top of the page, and between the navigation and the first item in my scrolling index I am having two issues with my footer too: On mobile, when you scroll all the way to the bottom of the index and reach the footer, the social icons are slightly off center On mobile, when you scroll all the way to the bottom of the index and reach the footer, there is a ton of space between the last image in the index and the social icons. I'd like to decrease this amount of space Many thanks in advance! Isissa
  21. Hi. I want to space 3 images with text underneath and a button underneath the text as attached (1st attachment). I'm having problems spacing them evenly. The default set up pushes the images right to the edge of the page. I don't want to reduce the page width for the whole website to achieve what I want. I simply want to space the columns evenly with some padding on the left and right side whilst keeping things in proportion. 1st attachment shows what I wish to achieve. Padding either side, and the content kept in proportion. The 2nd attachment shows what happens when I simply put spacers left and right. It changes the size of the middle image. Is there a solution without using CSS to keep to the cheaper plan? Thanks, Max
  22. Similar to Allister in the link below, I'm trying to reduce the space between the top of my logo and the menu item on my mobile site. Is anyone able to help with the code? Thanks, George
  23. Is it possible to set the paragraph spacing in 7.1? I started a blog in 7.1 and I'd like a space between each paragraph and I just can't figure out how to do it. Thanks!
  24. Hi! Am wondering if it's possible to collapse landscape spacing only on some project pages, rather than all? Am using the Jasper theme and would prefer to have only some of the images in the project pages have a space. My website is unfinished right now so I can't post links, but have attached a screenshot to show what I have in mind. Thanks!
  25. Hello all! I'm currently in the process of designing my portfolio website and I've noted that there is too much of a gap between the header and portolfio on my home page. I'd like to reduce the gap between the portfolio and the header. I've gone through all the settings but they all seem to counter act each other. Having spoken to the Customer Support team, they said that I'd need to have some coding to reduce this gap. I'm pretty new to this all so was wondering if anyone had any help in what coding I can insert to reduce the gap? My apologies if it's very simple - I'm fairly new to all this! I'm using the Novo template. Thanks for your help! Jacob.
