DavePI
Is it possible to have 2 blog pages with different Content Display settings? I am designing a site (version 7.1) that has multiple blog pages for different categories. One one blog page I want to display the Blog Post Titles and the Excerpt. On another blog page I want to display the entire Blog Posts. However, when I edit one Blog Page (By going to Blog Page > Edit > Edit Section > Content Display), it changes the settings for both blogs. This is not at all what I expected. I expected that when I edited the section settings for one Blog Page, it would not affect the other Blog Page. Instead, it appears that the Blog Page section settings are global. Link to comment

DavePI
"Full post" is one of the options if you go to Blog Page > Edit > Edit Section > Content Display. Anyway, what the options are is besides the point. The question I am asking is why are changes I am making to a specific blog page affecting every blog page. artofjefferson 1 Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
Set one blog up using summary blocks, set the other page up for full posts. Put the blog using the summary blocks as your front facing page into the unlinked section of your site. This way the settings for full page for one will not be seen on the other one. I don't have the full page option, no excerpts, with my template but I wanted one blog to appear full screen as opposed to some posts showing up on blog list wall which the second blog page is set up to do using summary blocks, You can see the difference here and my design should certainly do what you want it to do. https://myrandomviews.com/blogsummary Items with excerpts displayed as a grid or wall. https://myrandomviews.com/blog full screen blog posts (and your option would display the whole blog post not just an excerpt. My blog summary page is my front facing page and visitors don't see the same page displayed full screen as you can see it with a couple of exceptions such as this: https://myrandomviews.com/blog/category/Eighteen+Months The above is a link on my nav bar to a series of posts. You can explore my site and see what I have done with my summary blocks (which can display the whole post by the way, in multiple columns) I don't do that but I cauld if I wanted to. my random views tuanphan 1 Link to comment

Can you take a screenshot? This is a styles option for single column blog posts layout in blog page section/edit/format. Any change to syles, no matter how you got to that menu, from the main config menu, or from a blog landing page, changes the whole site.
