Rburnett
Hi, I have a blog that I use as a member directory. I have it password protected so random users cannot see the private information of my members. However, I want there to be a search block to allow users to quickly search the directory. However, the current search block isn't working because the blog/page is password protected meaning that none of the members/posts are showing up in search. Is there anyway to get around that? From what I understand password protected pages aren't indexed, but is there a way to get them to index but only for this specific search block? Thanks! Link to comment

Search cannot index protected content like password-protected pages or Member Area content. (If it wasn't this way, anyone could use the search index to bypass the protection!) There is not a way to search this content, however you may want to consider filtering the content using a third party tool like Universal Filter. Did this help?
